It wasn't busy so no atmosphere. Food was OK, nothing special. Had heard great things about the place so I was disappointed.

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Girly catch up, needed wine and nibbles. Perfect place to go for it. sat and nattered all night surrounded by the bar food. Loved the nachos and potato skins, not so much the pate. Great service, cant complain. Will be back

Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Lukewarm chips and a chilli burger that was simply mince with kidney beans, not a bit of spice in it at all. Was there for lunch, everyone else seemed happy about it, maybe I'm just fussy. WOuld have complained only we were in a rush, had no time for delays. But I won't be rushing back

The Cake Cafe
62 Pleasants Place, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I agree with previous comments about the service, but the food really does make up for it! I just had tea and toast and they managed to make it really tasty! Homemade bread, little pot of raspberry jam. Have been here for tea before, looking forward to a time where I get something proper to eat, and not just something little.

Eddie Rockets (South Annes Street)
7 South Annes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Red Baskets, €6.50 for three chicken tenders and fries. I have seen childrens meals with more substance. The worst value for money I have ever seen, average tasting food. I won't be back.

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Crab cakes, yum. On recommendation of waitress, had sauteed potatoes, lovely. Lots of kids, but it was saturday afternoon, that was probably to be expected. Other dishes had were prawn curry and the special, mexican pizza. Had food envy when that arrived. Service was OK, price was probably a bit too much considering it was the afternoon, but still quite impressed. Will be back

The Barge
Charlemont Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here as part of an informal xmas party last night, we ordered some nibbles (chicken wings, chips etc) and got two platters. Not huge platters, average sized. We then got presented with a bill for €100! One hundred euro! Absolutely outrageous. We had gone fun but won't be back, there's too many decent pubs around here to choose from

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ok I went on a busy Saturday afternoon, but everything was distinctly average. The staff were pleasant but too busy. it was so noisy, tables are announced over the speakers which I thought was unecessary, it's not that big a place. Food was OK, it came out quickly.

C Central Bar @ The Camden Court Hotel
The Camden Court Hotel, Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch here, it was OK, nothing to write home about but can't complain too much either. Nice for a change, but still more expensive than other similar places in the ares.

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Nice food, nice atmosphere, overpriced for what it is though, it's still just a burger, albeit a nice one! Loved the Dandy and Beano comic book menues though, very cute. And the mint in the water jug was a nice touch. I will be back!

Kelbys Bistro
Amber Springs Hotel, Wexford Rd, Gorey, Gorey, Wexford

Was here for a hen do. The food was lovely. But.... service was disgraceful, although the staff were friendly, the waiting times between courses was unacceptable. We ordered two bottles of wine, and they didn't have either. They then found half bottles of the red wine, which we only took one as people had ordered other drinks in the meantime, and then we were charged for a full bottle. Won't be back.

Kudos Restaurant (IFSC)
Clarion Hotel Dublin, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Had the Pre Theatre menu here before we went to the O2. Wasn't too impressed with the menu, it was too short. Food was nice when we got it, atmosphere and staff were good. Would visit again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Had the xmas set menu, three courses, so impressed. I wouldn't be a huge fan of any of the starters so had the soup, no complaints. The choice for mains was great. I had fillet steak, but was torn between getting the pork and the chicken also. So hard to decide when u want everything! Cheesecake for dessert, couldn't finish it I was so full. Thanks for a great nigfht Odessa!

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Not the first time I have been here, and I enjoyed it as much as last time. Had combo starter and main course, and a glass of wine, and with tip came to less than 30 quid which I was happy with. I also had to be rolled home I was that full after it. It's not the best mexican ever but the atmosphere was great (even at 6pm on a Tuesday) and the staff were very friendly.

Nostromo Private Party Venue
25a Lower Leeson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Steak sandwich, well impressed, pepper sauce was amazing! They had no vinegar which I thought was a bit odd, but apart from that, no complaints!
