I totally love this place and go back there more than any other restaurant that I can think of. It is so healthy. The atmosphere isn't great (but has improved since they expanded). The staff are often on the moody side. The food is stunning though. It is hard to see where the money goes until you taste the food and you can just sense that they've used only the best and they've made it with TLC. Delicious and plenty of variety...

Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I booked a table for 10 here for a stag night. I was looking for somewhere nice so that the focus would be food rather than alcohol. Langtons was perfect. They were very accomodating, menu had a lot of variety and atmosphere great. The place was really buzzing and busy. Food was great. Price was good but not great. I guess it is one of those places that is so well established that they don't have to do deals etc to fill the place up. Very happy with them...

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here on a Saturday for lunch. I had a fish stew which was stunning. I had to order more bread because I didn't want to waste a bit of it! It seemed a bit pricey but I wasn't the one who actually paid the bill so I'm not sure exactly what the final price was. Gorgeous food! Great location. Good service which could is the only area that I thought they had room to improve and good atmosphere.

Kanum Thai
16 Orwell Rd, Dublin 4, Rathgar, Dublin

We got a great deal on a meal here through citideal which brought us to the place so the value was outstanding. However we were expecting a restaurant but it was more like a takeaway atmosphere. That was disappointing but the food wasn't. The food was yum and the portions were big. We ended up bringing some home. Food a bit on the greasy side...

Marina @ The Carlton Shearwater Hotel
Marina Point, Ballinasloe, Galway

Stunning food, very good service. I really liked the place and the atmosphere there. We stayed in the hotel who were the most accommodating hotel I've ever stayed in. Definitely recommend the whole experience and if you do decide to stay in the hotel ask for upgrades etc as they like to help!

The Brasserie @ Newlands Cross
Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross, Clondalkin, Dublin

Nice relaxed atmosphere for a work meeting or lunch but not the kind of place to go for a date etc. Food ok price and good quality. Bit pricey but not too strong...

Brambles Café Bistro
102-104 Terenure Road North, Terenure, Dublin

Really nice food, staff were friendly and flexible. Atmosphere was lovely. The food was way too pricey though...

Spice of India - South William Street
6 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had veggie samosa to start and chicken tikka masala for my main with gorgeous bread (forgotten the name!). Atmosphere ok-good. Food: Stunning Best: Bread dipped in chicken tikka masala sauce Liked least: Veggie samosa portion a bit too small for me Starters and mains for two people for €20 (no drinks) on a Sunday. Happy with that price too.

Mocha Cafe & Restaurant (Kilkenny)
84 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Stunning place. Really quirky and it feels like a treat to go there. Food not the healthiest and very expensive but it feels like one of those places that is worth paying a bit more because the atmosphere is great.

Riverside Restaurant @ Kilkenny River Court Hotel
Kilkenny River Court Hotel, The Bridge, John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Stunning location and lots of variety in the breakfast. Great deal on the hotel room which included the breakfast cost. Therefore the value was great. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to have breakfast there though.

Royal Spice Indian Restaurant Kilkenny
2 water gate, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Really fancy food and restaurant. It wasn't cheap but the chicken korma was one of the best I've ever had! Yum...

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

I like this place. It is cheap and the food is really tasty. The atmosphere isn't great because it is a food court. I like going for a burrito and then heading around the corner to Third Floor Coffee for a cuppa afterwards and to relax.

Third Floor Espresso
Entrance to Twisted Pepper, 54 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

This is a unique restaurant/cafe. The owner is a world class barista champion. The coffee is unbelievably good. The food is just really snacks but it is gourmet style treats. The atmosphere isn't great because the building is a pub at night. When these guys get their own premesis it'll be something special.... The owner gave me a free taste of a very expensive coffee so I'm happy with service!

Reflection - Café Brasserie @ Dunnes Henry Street
Henry Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

This is pretty nice for a cafe in the middle of a department store. It beats the other one hands down. The staff were flexible and nice and the food was good. I like quiet places like this off busy streets...

Queen of Tarts
4 Cork Hill Dame Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I just can't handle this place. You're quite crammed up close to the next person and it seems to be full of women gossiping. No men seem welcome at all! However, i can definitely see the appeal of the food which is gorgeous. Don't even think of brining in the laptop for an hour or two of work. You won't be able to think......

Cafe Studio
Top Floor Arnotts, Henry Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Pretty poor in general in terms of food, atmosphere and service but I did drop in for brekkie in November which was pretty good and was very good value...

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

We liked this place. The food wasn't bad but we didn't have a great experience. I'd say that if we went again that we'd be likely to have a much better night. Reluctant to go back but Service was really good.

The Boathouse Cafe
Farmleigh, Phoenix Park, Castleknock, Dublin

Stunning location both in terms of the lake view and near farmleigh. Good food but too expensive... It'd be nice to have a cheap option...

Kilkenny Restaurant & Cafe
1st Floor, 5/6 Nassau Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I like this place. The atmosphere is nice and the food is gorgeous. It is a quiet restaurant in the middle of a busy road which I like. However, the service is bad even by Dublin's pretty awful standards and the food is ridiculously overpriced. If they want to charge those prices they should be delivering it to the table and they should try smiling and being nice to customers.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food was really good but I can't understand how anywhere stays in business when their service and atmosphere are both so poor. Dirty tablecloth. Not going back despite tempting prices!

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Terenure)
Terenure Road East, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

I love that Eddie Rockets knows what it is. The food is terribly unhealthy but you know that going in there and it generally tastes fabulous. I like this branch. The prices are horrendous though. Aero milkshake was very popular!!!

Cafe Irie
11 Fownes street, le Bar, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited with my wife and liked the place but wouldn't say I fell in love with it. They could do with a wifi connection which would make it a lovely, quite little place to get some work done on the laptop. At the moment it is a bit too quiet and weird for me!

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I've been going to joels for years and years and thought it was the bee's knees approx 10 years ago. The food is good and the portions are huge. My only complaint is that value for money has gone out the window. It really is something different and kid friendly...

Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Incredible value. Not the kind of place you'd bring someone on a date but definitely the kind of place that you'd go to for a cheap lunch option instead of brining in sandwiches to the office!!!

profile_review

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Nice place. Food very good. I had a calzone pizza which was gorgeous but could have done with 50% less cheese. I've eaten here a few other times too and am generally very impressed. Super location too

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant
Level 2, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

Pretty impressive overall. They were happy for me to just have a cuppa & scone and use the internet. Have been back a couple of times since. Free internet which is nice to do a bit of work in luxury!
