Il Sorriso Restaurant
New Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

This is a lovely smart restaurant in the middle of all the Malahide pubs. It was a late booking they took and looked after us very well. It is good value for money and best of all good portions. I look forward to going back. It is not cheap but it is cheerful. (Irish Coffee was average)

Eatzen Ashbourne
U4 Building 3B, Ashbourne Town Centre, Ashbourne, Meath

The foot was fab as usual. It isn't a cheap restaurant but the service was poor. It was disappointing and something that would turn me off........but as i said the food is just great.

Olesya's Wine Bar
18 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We visited for the wine and not for the food or comfort. It is one of the best places in Dublin for wine and the knowledge of the staff member dealing with us was great. Yes it is expensive but you pay for what you get and it was great value. I'm looking forward to another late night here sipping great wines.

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great meal but the Irish Coffee after was only average. The ingredients were correct but there is a lot more than that to making one properly.

Coral Restaurant Sligo
Diamond Coast Hotel, Bartragh, Inishcrone, Sligo

I ate their with my two kids early on a Friday evening. It was very quite and we had no problem with that. The most important thing was the quality of the food for the kids. Half portions from the Adult menu and it was exactly what they needed as it was a proper Irish dinner (that they don't get enough of) with loads of veg

Banyi Japanese Dining
4 Bedford Row, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

There was a mix up with our booking but the manager played a blinder. The is always of a very high standard and so is the service. This is a place I will go back to regularly.

profile_review

Cosy Joe's
Bridge Street, Westport, Mayo

I called in with my two kids (4 & 6) in the early evening. The staff are great with the kids and the pasta they ordered was great and healthy. The adult food is well above standard pub grub. The overall package is great and I look forward to returning. It is a great town and pubs of this standard keep it great.

profile_review

Chez Sara Wine Bar
3 Old Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Unique food at a very high standard. The Chef Max makes a point of visiting each table in this small restaurant. I was impressed with the Irish Coffee to finish the night (still a small bit of room for improvement) The waitresses are very knowledgeable on the food and particularly the specials. It is not the cheapest night but great value for money. Looking forward to returning very soon.

Camile Thai Rathfarnham

Really good food at a very affordable price. Main course was also very filling and guaranteed we'd be back.

profile_review

Moloughney's Clontarf
9 Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

We were a large party that included kids. We all had a very enjoyable meal and the kids were looked after. The only negative was the selecting of starters was poor. (but we were had an early sitting at 2pm)

profile_review

Gourmet Food Parlour (Santry)
Northwood Avenue, Northwood Plaza, Santry, Dublin

It was an enjoyable lunch and a recommended setting as the upstairs is very spacious. The only issue is parking at lunchtime. You need to be there very early or you have a walk. The food is of an excellent quality. Some of our dishes were slow coming out (it may have been our fault as we were coming in, in ones and twos). Looking forward to returning for lunch - 12.45 booking is important.

profile_review

Mac's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour
No 6 Main Street, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

We had a table for 9 booked and everything went to plan. The service was first class from a waiter with a friendly personality who got on very well. 9 very happy main courses and the service was fast as required by 9 guys. recommended for groups.

profile_review

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Two of us dinned at 5pm on a Tuesday evening. It was very very quite. The food was very good but the value was poor. The real reason for this is we didn't avail of any of the specials. The next time we will go for two main course with a bottle of procecco for 50 euros. We will return as we did enjoy the experience.

profile_review

Nevins Newfield Inn
Tiernaur, Mullaranny, Mayo

The starters were of a very poor standard. Torritos were straight from a packet & prawn cocktail was really poor. The mains were acceptable. The girl who served our table was lovely but it took 30 mins for the starter and another 30 mins for main course. We were a table of 8 (5 kids and 3 adults). The setting is great and the pub & restaurant look great. No way could we recommend this place.

profile_review

Fade Street Social - The GastroBar
4-6 Fade Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We sat at the food bar eating and watching the chef's at work. The experience was great and it is certainly the place to eat. Dylan was also on hand keeping an eye. We went upstairs to the bar after for a drink and the service upstairs on the floor was poor and lacking personality but it didn't ruin a wonderful night. We can't wait to go back and will try the pop corn chicken.

profile_review

Bistro @ Hotel Ballina
Dublin Road, Ballina, Mayo

I eat here regularly with my 2 kids. The best thing about the menu is they do half portions of the specials for the kids and it is generally very healthy. The service is great and a big open area around reception for the kids. The Irish Coffee from the bar is poor.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Swords)
Pavillion Shopping Centre, Malahide Road, Swords, Dublin

We popped in on spec on Friday evening prior to the cinema. We were tight on time and it wasn't an issue. Two nice healthy mains. Payment up front so no delays. Idea for in and out prior to cinema and cheap as we were driving and only on the water.

profile_review

Diamond Coast Hotel
Bartragh, Inishcrone, Sligo

I ate a few times over the weekend with 2 small kids. The restuarant (and bar area) are great for kids and have 3 different menus depending on the age of the kids. The overall hotel/restaurant/bar facility is great and child friendly. Staff are nearly all local and very very good.

profile_review

Reeves Restaurant
172 Templeogue Road, Dublin 6w, Templeogue, Dublin

Very enjoyable meal for 2. We pop in late on Sunday as the pub downstairs had stopped serving food. Fast, quality and friendly.

profile_review

Pho Ta Vietnamese Restaurant
6 Cope Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

walked in on a Friday evening without a booking. The staff were excellent and fitted us in. The food was first class and great to get a choice of different beers to wash it down. We will be back - soon.

profile_review

Keenans of Tarmonbarry
Tarmonbarry, Roscommon Town, Roscommon

Travelling west this is a great place to stop for quality food in a really nice setting. Before dinner it was a ten minute walk with the kids along the Shannon banks. Fast friendly & ideal for kids. We'll be back.

profile_review

The Morgue
Main St, Templeogue Village, Templeogue, Dublin

The place was full but we got two seats in the bar. There was great banter with the other tables and the food matched the atmosphere. It isn't cheap but it is good value for money.

profile_review

Gourmet Food Parlour Swords
Unit 2 St Fintans, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Late lunch yesterday in a restaurant I've been to a few times and I can see why I keep going back. Very relaxing and the tables aren't to close so you have a bit of privacy. We both had salads and coffees. Recommended and there is plenty of street parking also. (coffee is great)

profile_review

Moloughney's Clontarf
9 Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

We walked in off the street on Saturday evening and to be fair they only had one table that they needed in 1 hour. We took it and had a great evening. The food is good and we spoke to a number of staff and it was great to see that some were local and had all the info we required. On to the important part - the food is of a very high standard and the service was great. As we had the table for an hour (probably 90 mins in total) we got the express service. We will be back and if there was something small they should do - that would be to invest in Irish Coffee glasses. As usual I finish with one but it was served in a wine glass. (the waiter was full of knowledge on the Irish coffees and did apologise for not having the correct glasses) The furniture and decor is superb and different. A must place to visit.

profile_review

Little Jerusalem - Swords
Unit 5, Castle Shopping Centre , Bridge St, Swords, Dublin

I went in for lunch on my own. I had a great wrap and fries. There were very few people in there but the food was fresh and great quality. It is well worth trying. It was also good value for money.

profile_review

The Lobster Pot @ The Galway Bay Hotel
The Promenade, Salthill, Salthill, Galway

Good food but if there is a wedding or large coach tour the service is very slow. If visiting book a window seat in advance as there are lovely views of the sea. Not every restaurant can make a good Irish Coffee - but this place can. Recommended - very good as a hotel restaurant as they can be hit and miss.

profile_review

Dock No1
1-3 Dock Road, Galway, Galway City, Galway

across from the harbour and located close to a 4 story car park so easy access. It is an very old style pub and a great place for afternoon pints but we were just there for grub. The service was very good as they were good with my two kids and I also saw them opening a side door for a wheel chair guest. The food takes a while but it is health and fresh and good value for money. You won't be disappointed.

profile_review

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

It is a little more expensive than other reataurants in Drogheda but the food is of a very high standard. It is important to book as the first time we walked in they were full. Well worth a visit (leave the car at home)

profile_review

Black Bull Inn
Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

For what you pay it is great value for money. And as it is attached to the bar you get bar prices and any draught beer you wish. We had no complains and will eat here again and again no doubt.

profile_review

Empire Bar and Grill
16 Main Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

There is a steak special for 10 euros. They don't seem to advertise it anymore but if you ask for it - it is available. I recommend this as value for money and the setting of the new style pub is great.

profile_review

Copper & Spice (Limerick City)
2 Cornmarket Row, Limerick, Limerick City, Limerick

To be fair we didn't make a booking but went early on a busy night. They got us in and out very quick and service could not have been faster. The food was 5 star and attention at the table for very good. We will return but most importantly I will recommend.

profile_review

Empire Bar and Grill
16 Main Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Very enjoyable lunch and recommended. I will be back as it is affordable and value for money.

profile_review

Peacocks Bar
Rivervalley Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin

In the areas so we thought we'd try this place out and ended up going for the carvey. Excellent value and plenty of room esp if you have kids. Impressed with the service as it is carvery and you don't expect any. The next cold wet windy Sunday we'll be back.

profile_review

Wagamama's Blanchardstown
Unit 410, First Floor, Blanchardstown Retail Park 2, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

It is years since I was in Wagamama's and nothing has changed. It is important to be a flexible person and understand there can be others at your table. The food is different but very very good and healthy. I had a 3 year old with in and it was perfect for her - healthy kids food also ( a first) with a treat of an ice cream to finish). The noodle dishes are great but won't be to everyone's liking. We'll be back but maybe only once a year - it is worth trying if you like something different and healthy.

profile_review

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Recommended: We were a large party with kids and chose to eat early. The kids food was healthy and great value. The standard of cooking is very high, especially for Swords compared to other options. Best of all it is very good value for money and we will be back.

profile_review

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We were a party of 14 and everyone was delighted with the food. This is a busy busy restaurant and hence the arrival of drink was just a little slow. The have a resident singer and it is well worth having a few night caps and enjoying the music. It is expensive but worth every cent.

profile_review

Smyths Cock Tavern Swords
31 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Recommended: There are cheaper lunches in Swords but the food is tasty. The big difference here is the service and the chat from the staff gives it a unique atmosphere. I'll be back again and again - so will the others in the group of four.

profile_review

Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin

2 of us with our 2 year old went for dinner at around 5 on the spur of the moment. We will definately be back and very soon. Great Value and no shortage of food. We didn't order seperately for the little one and they didn't have any problem letting her eat some of our and still brought her a lovely ice cream. Give it a go

profile_review

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Great value for money - the early bird on a Friday evening. The staff are excellent at filling juice in a babies bottle and bring her ice cream (and not on the bill). The food is very tasty and everyone at the table was delighted with there meal. Deserts aren't great quality but starter and main courses are highly recommended.

profile_review

Aqua Restaurant
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

We were a large table of 14 and this included 3 kids. The food was top quality and the small portions for the kids were great. The great thing is they know how to look after kids and this helps keeping them quiet and entertained. Recommended for a family outing but the old saying this stands, 'you pay for what you get' and it is probably a little more expensive than the average restaurant.

profile_review

Wasabi Japanese Restaurant
1 Main street , 1st Floor, Malahide, Dublin

We ate on a Sunday at lunchtime and found the food and service good. The waiter help with the order was very good. The only issue we had was we had a voucher and didn't use the full amount. The there was no facility for change, issue of a voucher with the balance or when I asked for a bottle of wine with the balance the said they couldn't - rip off but I guess rules are rules and that is how them make money.

profile_review

The Step Inn Lounge Restaurant
Enniskerry Road, Stepaside Village, Stepaside, Stepaside, Dublin

The opening Q should always be will you come back. A big Yes. The overall package was great. We were a table of 7 adults & a baby (aged 1) and all 8 left happy. The restaurant were more than happy to organise a dinner for the baby and took care of the rest of us. The Thai Curry was a little disappointing but in isn't a curry house - so to be expected. All the other dishes were superb - Prawns, Steak & Dubliner Burger with tasty side dishes. The serving of chips is done very well and should be noted by other restaurants. The only neg might be that the Belfast Blonde beer wasn't available. We'll be back. Thanks.

profile_review

Ripleys Steak House
Butterslip Lane (off Kieran St), Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I was part of a large group of 9 guys who had a table booked for 8pm. We arrived on time and everything was ready. The staff were great, full of chat and smiles with a prompt service. The food was of a very high standard. I went for an Irish Coffee after (made correctly) instead of a desert and I recommend that as the better option. On our next visit to Kilkenny we will definately visit again. Highly recommended. The Steak Hot Pot was the pick of all our dishes.

profile_review

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

St Patricks Afternoon and while walking around town we went into Marco Whites for the early bird. It was a most enjoyable afternoon - the service was poor but the waiter didn't inform us and apoligies to us about a kitchen problem. The choice for the early bird was good and all the food was of a very high standard But best of all 2 starters and 2 main courses only came to €40 in total. We'll be back and so should you.

profile_review

Ocean Palace Restaurant
Main Street, Swinford, Mayo

It was Valentines weekend so the restaurant was very busy. We booked a table for 4 having had take aways in the past of good quality. Overall we had a great night and we will all be back. 100 for 4 with no starters was a little dear but the food was of a high quality. Include in the price was a bottle of wine and 2 beers. When we saw the size of the portions we were glad we didn't order a starter - but instead they brought us 3 baskets of prawn crackers. Recommend but bring the wallet.

profile_review

Cosy Joe's
Bridge Street, Westport, Mayo

This is the place to go for good quick food in a pub atmosphere where you can enjoy an draft beer you wish. There is a great menu to choose from and all 8 in our group were very impressed. A pub will never match the quality of a top restaurant but value for money can't be beaten in Cosy Joe's...... A credit to Wesport.

profile_review

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Great Value for money....it wasn't the best meal ever but there are some small touches that make this restaurant stand out and please god after been open 4 weeks will be open for many more. They were a little short on staff but openly admitted. We will return for the early bird very soon. At 20 euro each it was money well spent on two courses each with complimentary mini soups also included.

profile_review

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

We were a table of 16 that had a wonderful experiance. The food is unbeatable and so was the experiance. The only word of warning is that it is costly but well well worth the cost. The hot stone dishes are a must - a great extra that isn't a given these days is the service. It was five star as was the food. It is only open 1 month but I will be back before Xmas and I'll be recommending it to as many people as possible. Nobody will be disappointed once it is affordable.

profile_review

Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin

It is a very large restaurant and when full ( like last nite ) there is a great buzz. There was 6 of us and we got a round revovling table. There was a great selection of food on the table and we all got a taste of everything. The were numerous large parties but the service was still at a very high standard. The 1/4 Duck for starters is a must and I'll be back for more. Great spot for a party.

profile_review

The Saddle Room @ The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne Hotel, 27 St Stephen's Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

It is priced as a 5 star restaurant, The food is not to far short of 5 star but the service we got was 2 star. Strange for a Monday night the place was busy. As we weren't dressed in suits or were tourists we were given a poor service. It is strange that nobody working was irish!! and maybe this was the reason. I had the Onion soup for starters and I recommend this, my partner had the overpriced Grace Kelly Salad and she was happy. The main course we shared a sea food plater for two and this was enjoyable. The waiter recommended Onion rings to us and we had a portion of fries also - neither we'd be ordering again. Trying to get a waiters attention for a drink and then having to ask twice was not value for the €136 we paid. On the plus side the Presecco at €48 per bottle was fab but the Irish Coffee needed an Irish barman. We won't be back unless I'm wearing a designer suit or I'm with some Yankie friends.

profile_review

The Barn Restaurant
Glanmire Cork, Glanmire, Cork

I live in Dublin and a group of us were down south for a Wedding on the Friday so we treated ourselves to a night out at the Barn. Well want a treat. We arrived a little late but we had a ball. The food was five star. There is such a selection of quality food I was delighted to see everyone was ordering different choices so I got to sample a few other dishes. The best wine was left until the end with the deserts trolley was so hard to say no to. I will be back but I will be recommending it to anyone venturing to Cork. There was a large group of us so they offered us a fixed price per person. Bring me back to Cork.

profile_review

Peacocks Bar
Rivervalley Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin

It does want it says on the TIN. Casual & Steak: Yes it is a great spot with above average food but great for a big crowd. We had a table of 13 persons that included 3 kids. The staff were helpful and it was a set menu. ( we didn't ask for it but the menus were on the table and it suited us ) We'll be back but not for a quiet dinner for 2. Value for money it certainly was and the great range of draft beer is certainly a great plus.

profile_review

Ukiyo
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We were a large party and we were well looked after. The food is an mixture from Japan, Korea and maybe a hint of European. The place isn't suitable for a quiet meal but is great for large groups. Service was fast and most importantly given the night we were having the bar service and selection is very good. We'll be back but only as a group booking.

profile_review

Bon Appetit
9 James Terrace, Malahide, Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Last night 10 of us went to Bon Appetit. This is a restaurant with a 5 star rep locally and is generally regarded as more expensive. There is a great special of 75 for 3 courses and a bottle of wine ( choice of 2 red and 2 white ). Overall we had a great evening. The special is certainly value for money but it does work out a lot more expensive when you include veg, chips, potatoes etc. The only extra I object to is 4.95 per bottle of water. The Scallops start is an extra € 5 but well worth it. This is a chance for everyone to sample Bon Appetit and I hope to be back before the end of Feb. Recommend for the next 5 weeks once. A nice point was we only had 4 bottles from the special and we were able to take the last one with us.

profile_review

Kajjal
7 The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

It always good so see a new restaurant open and best of all is when it is a good one. There is a great buzz about the place as it is the new place in town. The wine menu is over priced and doesn't encourage you to have an extra bottle and sit down for the nite. We were two couples and each one of us were more than happy and will be back. The main courses were of a very high quality and a little better than the starters. The nan bread was fresh and very tasty. I'm looking forward to my return but do bear in mind that most dishes are like an indian restaurant.

profile_review

Man Friday Restaurant
Scilly, Kinsale, Cork

Thursday nite and this restaurant was full.......and we soon found out why. The waiting staff were older than normal but added to the atmosphere with their personality. First class food from another 5 star Kinsale restaurant. We all loved and really enjoyed the banter with the staff. Don't leave without trying the seafood platter.

profile_review

Fishy Fishy Restaurant
Crowleys Quay, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

Yes, Yes, Yes: Great food for any seafood lover. There was 9 of us at the table and we all were delighted with what we ordered and the presentation and taste were first class. Kinsale is a long way from Dublin but I will be back to both Kinsale and Fishy Fishy and going for the Fishy fish pie.

profile_review

Old Head Restaurant
Golf Links Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

Four of us had lunch here before golf. It is a most beautiful setting and one that not to many restaurants can match. And this gives the place a unique atmosphere. The food is above average bar food but costly for lunch. Recommended for golfers but only worth the journey for the view.

profile_review

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Recommended because it is different and the food is of a very high quality. We were a large party but some of us had finished our starters before some had got theirs. We had a great nite and desserts are a must. It was value for money and I will go back. Hopefully the staff will have a bit more energy and chat. I didn't think it was much to ask everyone getting their food together. Main courses didn't come out either at the same time.

profile_review

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Well worth a visit. Value for money is the most important trait these days and we certainly got that. We both started with the Sizzling Prawns and I'll be back for more. It was after work I went for dinner so I went for the Pizza Special and it was the correct choice. I'll be back to try the burgers, steaks and rack of ribs. Keep the door open....I'm coming back and so should U.

profile_review

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

It was table for 2 on sunday afternoon. 19.95 each for starter, main course & desert. It was great value on paper but no so good when when we reviewed everything after. Starters were ok, Main Course was below average and desert was really good. Food here is normally better so we won't be going here for the cheap option. The service was poor and we had to pay on the way out as it was impossible to get someone flagged down to get the Bill.

profile_review

Courtyard Restaurant
Carnegie Court Hotel, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Value for money is the best way to talk about this restaurant. We went for the early bird at 5.30 on Saturday evening. A table for 6 and not one negative comment. 18.95 for four courses. Starters and Main Course were fresh and of a high standard. The deserts were a little disappointing. Instead of tea or coffee I requested a latte and it was not a problem. The restaurant was 100% full and that says it all. We'll be back and defo for an early bird.

profile_review

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Every Six months approx I make a visit. The reason I keep coming back is value for money and the food. Well nothing has changed. We booked late and the table we got wasn't great but that is the only complaint I can have. The food is of a continually high standard and the service is standard. I'll be back for my six monthly visit. It is worth getting in before 7pm to available of the early bird.

profile_review

Hugo's Restaurant at Druids Glen Resort
Druids Glen Resort, Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow

Good food cost money but this good food was well worth every penny. The hotel is a little out of the way so having a drink means staying over. It was great to relax with a couple of drinks after. Worth a nite out.

profile_review

The Ivy House
114 Upper Drumcondra Road, Drumcondra, Dublin

It has been a long time since I ate in the Ivy House and how it has changed. It was way over priced for the food we got. We were in a hurry so I didn't complain but I should have. The steak was not hot and fourteen euro for a steak sandwich is way out of order. The is so many places to eat in this area so I won't be back......maybe for a pint but never for a bite. Very disappointed.

profile_review

McLoughlins Restaurant @ Roganstown Hotel
Roganstown Golf & Country Club, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Great food and as there were 5 of us at the table we made our own atmosphere as there were only 2 other tables used. The food is a high standard and I've eaten here before and the food was of a similar high standard. It is a little over priced. We didn't drink wine so it kept the price down. It is worth a visit and the setting is first class. I'll be back but not on a regular basis.

profile_review

The Blackboard Bistro
The Basement, 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Yes, Yes, Yes: It was a quiet Wed nite and nothing much happening in Dublin. But the early bird here changed all that. Great value for money in this small quiet restaurant. It is No.1 for good food and value. We sat at the front of the restaurant but I recommend going into the back room where the cold front door air doesn't effect you. We just loved the food and 18.50 early bird is a steel. I'll be back very soon.

profile_review

The Forty Four Hotel & Bar
Main Street, Swords, Dublin

I visit here every two weeks for lunch. The menu is the usual and the same as every other pub But the daily specials are very good and the reason I pop in. The food is good and fresh but it would be expensive if you were eating there every day. I will be back again and again.

profile_review

Monasterboice Inn (Donegans)
Drogheda, Co Louth, Drogheda, Louth

Four lads out for the dinner and it was perfect because we all like quality steak. The portions are big so there should be no need for a starter. The decor is basic but it is clear from the big crowd that this is a place with a great name. We'll be back but not for a romantic meal.

It is the best of pub sea food on the sea front. It is great any day esp when it is windy outside and the tide is in. The view adds to the excellent food. The only Neg is the Kitchen closes for an hour every sunday I think between 3 and 4. We go there on a sunday afternoon regularly and go home smelling of garlic and licking our lips. It is a little more expensive than the average pub for food but well worth it every so often.

Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

We visited the restaurant last nite and where a table of 10 enjoyed a lovely evening. The only neg is that Greek food takes a little getting used to and some of us didn't order exactly what we should have. Value for money is A1. Our bill was approx 100 per couple. That include 3 courses, wine, one or two drinking pints of Heiniken and some of us finishing with Irish & Baileys coffee. Relaxed athmosphere and well worth a visit. It is the type of place I could see a group of us visiting once a year. Try it.

Pasta Castello
Unit 11, Donabate Town Centre, Donabate, Dublin

Empty restaurant with no atmosphere on a Sunday evening. The portions are large and the food is quiet good. The next time we go we will get a starter between two and if it is a pizza we will will have that between us also. It was a very cheap night but an enjoyable one. Garlic mushrooms must be the largest starter I have ever got anywhere. Well worth going to for a chance but not for a big occasion. I will be returning.

Chilli Shaker Indian Restaurant
River Mall, 32-36 Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Table for 2, good food, 3 course early bird special - 15 euro each: We'll be back. Thursday night wasn't our first visit and value for money it was unbeatable. The service is a little unfriendly & we sat in a poor spot beside the smoking door down the back but other than that we had a great evening. Butter Chicken for main course comes recommended.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We were a party of 12 and each one of us had a great night. Since my last visit the restaurant has got a lot bigger and so has the menu. There is a great buzz in the place and it is matched by the food. Well worth trying and the main course seafood plater for 2 is not just great value it is tasty tasty. It was also great to see somewhere that knows how to make Irish Coffee's properly. I'll be back & most importantly I'll be recommending it.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Unique setting with a great Atmosphere. The food beautifully presented and a great range on offer. The wines on offer were maybe a little over priced but all in all I'll be going back for more. Highly recommmended and a great place for a special night out.

Seabank Bistro
Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

I'm a regular here now. Well 4 times in the last year as well as this January. This is a place that can be recommended to anyone. Every dish is extra special but the fish is just unbeatable. Because it is family run the service is different. The personal service is a bonus on top of the excellent food. A must.......and you go back singing.
