Ate here before a gig. Restaurant itself is pleasent. Food was very tasty, simple good italian food but the service was incredible slack! It was slow and difficult to get the waiters attention. We waited quite a while between our starters and mains and noticed others who arrived after us getiing the mains sooner. Because of the delays we didn't even have time for a coffee or to look at the dessert menu which was dissappointing.

House Restaurant
Cliff House Hotel, Middle Road, Ardmore, Ardmore, Waterford

Just returned from a weekend at The Cliff House Hotel. We ate from the bar menu twice and I have to say the food and over all experience was fantastic. They make the best ceaser salad I have ever tasted and I wouldn't consider myself to be a fan of ceaser salad. It was so flavoursome, as was the chowder which was so fresh and tasty. We also tried the steak, fish pie and pork belly. All so yummy, really how food sould be. You could taste the quality of the ingredients. Desserts were really yummy too, especially the bread and butter pudding. They had a special value menu too 32.50 EURO for 3 courses. Can't argue with that. My only critism would be that the menu in the bar is a little limited but what they had was delicious. Can't wait to go back again. Such a shame I live so far away!

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Nice bistro style restaurant. Perfect for date or evening with friends. Very pleasent atmosphere, staff were friendly and professional. The girl who served us really knew her stuff about the menu and the food and was very helpful. I have a ribeye steak with bourdelex butter. The steak was a very nice piece of meat but there was way too much salt, in fact somewhat overpowering, wheather that be due to over seasoning or the butter. My friend had a fillet steak plain and was so impressed with the quality. Desserts were yummy too. I will be going again though perhaps next time I'll be a little more careful with what I order with my steak!

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

We had burritos and nachos with salsa and guacamole and it was so good. Really yummy. Only time I've had proper burritos in Ireland. Great feel about Taco Taco and staff were very friendly. Seating is shared between all vendors and a bit all over the place. Floor wasn't exactly spotless but the tables were cleaned down properly after each use. Great spot for food on the go or a quick spot of lunch but don't expect high class dining. It is a food hall after all. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Lovely Thai restaurant. We went in 3 days before christmas and whle very busy they took our number and found a way to accomadate us quite quckly. Food was really nice, very tasty. there were 3 of us for dinner and clean plates all round. We didn't have dessert. The waitress very honestly told us that desserts were bought in which was a pity. Siam Thai is not cheap but it was nice restaurant and lovely food.

Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

I got a voucher for 2 for 1 on main courses at Milano from a friend and decided to give it another try. It really feels like a chain! Menu is limited especially in terms of pasta. We shared a pizza and pasta between 2 of us. Both were fine and tasty but certainly not out of this world. Staff were friendly but the girl who served us was very eager to get an order out of us even though we'd barely sat down and then it was impossible to get her attention when we wanted the bill. There's nothing particularly special about Milanos in my opinion I have had better pizza, pasta and service else where and while I didn't have a bad experience there, I don't think I'll be back, at least out of my own choice.

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here on Saturday afternoon. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the pizza was quite tasty. Reasonably good value- 2 pizzas, 2 cokes and a garlic bread for less than €30. Good spot for a bite to eat in the Grafton street area be it as a break from shopping or before drinks. However there are better pzzarias in Dublin!!!

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Very dissappointed!! I was expecting such good things from Green 19 and on saturday 2 friends and I went for lunch. The welcome was quite good and we asked to sit upstairs which was no problem. Resteraunt itself is quiet nice. Very comfortable seats and lemon and mint in the water was a lovely touch. However, the food was not great. We ordered a burger, fish and chips and a burrito and none where mind blowing. And the chips being home made as advertiesd in the menu was questionable! They were overcooked at best. Waitress was a little abrupt and at times kind of rude. However, when we didn't drink our burnt coffees she did refund us the cost. Prices were pretty decent, it's a pity the food wasn't up to scratch. Don't think any of the 3 of us will be returning!

Il Padrino Pizza Pasta House
21 Cook Street, Cork City, Cork

Delicious Italian! Was looking for simple good Italian food in Cork city and stumbled across Il Padrino on Menupages so we decided to give it a try. Menu had a huge selection of pasta and pizza. The restaurant itself is a little Italian kitch but very pleasent and it all added to a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. I had a pasta dish with a spicy tomato based sauce with chicken and my boyfriend had a pizza. Both were fantastic and very tasty. We shared a garlic bread to start and a dessert and all for €40! So dissappointed I live in Dublin and won't be able to visit regularly!

Fishy Fishy Restaurant
Crowleys Quay, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

YUMMY, YUMMY!!!!! Had a beautiful meal here last week. The most of the menu seems to be decided daily presumably depanding on whats fresh that day. My boyfriend had the fishy fishy pie and I had the crab claws both of which were delicious! Service was very relaxed probably not great if you're in a rush but suited us fine for a leisurely dinner. The restaurant was beautiful too and very comfortable. 2 starters, 2 mains, a dessert and a bottle of wine all for €82, Great food, great value!!!

Eleven West Restaurant
11 West Beach, Cobh, Cork

Lovely resaurant but slow service! Ate dinner hear last Thusday night. menu hada great variety and the food was pretty tasty. My steaak was a little over done but other than that it was a lovely meal. My boyfriend had the bbq ribs and they were delisiously sticky and the meat just fell off the bone. The only thing that really let it down was the service the staff were very nice but there was only 2 people working one of which was obviously onlysupposed to be behind the bar and the restaurant was quite busy. Unfortunately we had to wait 25 minutes for cocktails at the end of our meal. Other than that it was very plesent and I would certainly visit again.

Cafe @ Fota
Fota House, Cobh, Cobh, Cork

Very plesent visit. Cafe is in a lovely historical country house set in beautiful gardens. Very simple set up. Menu consisted of quiche, shepards pie (I presume hese options vary day to day), soup, and a selection of homemade pre packed sandwiches. We went with the sandwich option and they were really fresh and tasty. There was also a huge selection of beautiful cakes and buns, a must to complete a tasty homely lunch!

The Morgan Bar
10 Fleet Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Tasty food and fun atmosphere! We had tapas in the bar one saturday night and while the place was very busy with people out for the night we were able to reserve a table for food. We had a selection of dishes from the tapas menu all of which were very tasty with the exception of the wings which were a bit too bland for my liking. Staff were very friendly and the whole experience was very relaxed. There was a dj and a guy playing the bongos which was actually really good. We even stayed on after our food for some cocktails! Great place if you want somewhere for a bite to eat to kick off a fun night. But probably not the best place if your looking for your typical 3 course meal in a quiet setting as this is a bar.

Greene's Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I ate here with a friend last week. We chose it totally on a whim as we had heard very little about the place and we were very plesently surprised! The restaurant itself is quite small but very plessent and and bright. The menu was quite diverse and I found found myself spoilt for choice. The food was excellent. We had the crab claws and salmon and the were both delicious. And from what I could see around the restaurant there were clean plates all round. The service was a little slow at times but this was probably due to the fact that it was a Tuesday and the place was quite busy. All round very enjoyable. I will certainly be returning.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I felt this place was highly over rated. I had heard such great things and was so excited about going but left very disappointed! Food was very averge and the menu was quite limited. Very overpriced and to make matters worse there was a 10% service charge added to our bill even though there were only 4 of us. Staff were friendly but difficult to get their attention when we wanted the bill and when waiting for them to collect it. Also the restaurant is quite dark so it was difficult to read the menu. I don't think this is a bad restaurant but certainly not as amazing as others would claim and bery much over priced! I don't think I'll be returning.

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

This is an great restaurant! Seven of us ate here yesterday for a family meal. This was the second time we visited and again the food was fantastic!! What was also great was that the menu had changed completely from the last time which gave us a whole new set of choices. The service was also excellent- professional but very warm and friendly. I think 1014 is fast becoming my favourite restaurant for it's consistantly excellent quality of food and with sunday lunch at €25 for 3 courses it's outstanding value too. Only tiny issue was it was a little chilly near the door each time it opened but that didn't stop us from enjoying a great meal!
