Excellent Indian food served by possibly the friendliest staff in the world, only too willing to help. Tried and tested, nicest Indian I have had in Drogheda. Take away of the same standard as restaurant too. Decor is vey dated, but you find that a lot with Indian restaurants.

The Elphin
36 Baldoyle Road, Sutton, Dublin

We have been here a couple of times and if we lived closer would be there all the time. Each time the food has been delicious. I mean DELICIOUS. the staff are very friendly and willing to help. Only once we had a poor meal, chose the cajun wings mistenly thinking they were Buffalo wings. They weren't great, but thats our fault I suppose; Will most definitely be returning. 10/10

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Went here yesterday using a menupages voucher. We found the service from the staff to be second to none in beautiful surroundings. We had Quesadilla to start, which were delicious. the main course however weren't great, not sure if it was just us as others on here have written fabulous reviews. I had mixed fajitas, fellow diner had the wings. Both tasted as if they had been marinated in the same bowl of extra extra hot chillis and tbh tasted pretty much the same. so hot we couldn't really eat either. I had high hopes but most definiely will NOT be returning.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

As usual, fantastic!! I am very happy to say that we were looked after amazingly well as usual when I eat here. Its the little touches from the staff and the feeling that you are special alongside the fabulously cooked and presented food that make Fallon and Byrne a winner every time.

Matt The Thresher (Birdhill)
Birdhill Tipperary Tipperary, Birdhill, Tipperary

Visited here on bank holiday Monday lunch time, while travelling. Menu made me think we were in a high end restaurant, akin to a speciality steak house. How wrong can one be? Despite the expensive menu, claiming to be high quality food, the owner swanning about as if he is maitre 'd in a fine dining restaurant our food was really pretty basic! The waitress messed up our order of 2 completely differently cooked steaks and then told us to sort ourselves out. The aforementioned steaks were really poor, greasy, fatty and we sent more back than we ate. Baked potato I had was disgusting, so full of eyes I felt it was looking at me! The best thing about the place was the frozen chips!! Main problem...when taking plates back, waiting staff should ask if everything was okay, especially when a couple send back more of two €26 steaks than they eat. My advice, Matt should go back to threshing and you should keep driving by!!

Fabulous food in really lovely surroundings I absolutely cannot wait to go back to try out more of their brunch menu items!

Galo Chargrill
19 Main Street, Enniscorthy, Enniscorthy, Wexford

Possibly the worst restaurant experience of either of our lives. VERY expensive slop! Food left ALOT to be desired. I was meant to have pork fillet, which I love and got god only knows what, possibly pork belly or something. My fellow diner wanted TBone steak and received fat riddled unidentifiable inedible slop also. It was a case of trying to hunt the meat from the fat. Most unenjoyable.

Giovanni’s Pizzeria Restaurant
3-4 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Dublin

Ate here for their early bird on Friday. Service could have been much better. They were not very attentive to our group at all. They forgot many things we asked for. At first it seems like good value, however, the food was simply okay. We were charged for cheese and tomato sauce as toppings on our pizzas and those of us who had onion had a semi chopped raw onion plonked on top pf our pizzas, which had a severe lack of cheese by the way! It was extremely warm and despite asking many times for them to open the door, we were simply ignored. By the time dessert was on the menu half of our group just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Overall, I found with this restaurant that you get what you pay for. We didnt pay much, we didnt get much!

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Overall, our visit was disastrous from start to finish. As a regular of its sister restaurant in Howth, I was really annoyed at how wrong they could get just about EVERYTHING. Our waitress was very poor indeed, she paid us no heed, was more intent at wiping empty tables than taking our order. She had an air of importance about her but this could have had nothing to do with her job as she made so many mistakes and left us waiting to order, had a chat whilst holding our plates in her hand, never brought our dessert. The list is endless. On top of that the food was well below par. I had the old reliable, penne with chicken and sundried tomato, which was actually made with sun blushed tomato and was gooey, pasty, tastless gloop. I couldnt even eat it. The other person had the steak, again far below average. I will never ever go here again and I strongly urge you never ever to go either, save your money and get a bag of chips. You'll enjoy them more.

The Brass Monkey
12 West Pier, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

Having heard about the Brass Monkey's arrival in Howth, I was eager to visit. My sister had been the week before and said that while the food was great, the service was poor. I decided to find out for myself. Upon arrival, our table wasn't ready and we were told it would be in ten minutes, I asked if we could sit at a table that was empty and right beside us and told no. We were left waiting, with no offer of a menu or drink until I started looking at my watch. 45 minutes later we were shown to our table. We were three and ordered the Tortelloni, the fish of the day and a salad. The tortelloni was extremely disappointing and wasn't very warm. All three meals arrived at different times. The house wine was lovely and very nicely presented. The fish and salad went down a treat. At €5 per glass we were happy to avail of the prosecco, which was very nice indeed. The Jack Daniels ice cream was to die for but we had to remind the waitress after half an hour that we had ordered it. Fair enough, we weren't charged for it but would rather have just been served it when we asked for it. The main reason we were there was because there was a comedy night on at midnight, this being unusual and a good pull factor. You would have thought. Well, how wrong we were. The comedy show was awful and cleared half the place. The only reason we didn't leave too was because it was too late to get another drink elsewhere. The idea of the Brass Monkey is good, the ambience is good, the food is fair and the wine is fantastic. Perhaps its early days, although the waitresses are all experienced and the owner has other restaurants so I found the complacency with which our whole experience was treated very surprising. Overall, I left pretty downhearted and regretting the waste of a babysitter!

Novo
Harry Street, St Stephens Green, Dublin

Went here on Sat and used my menu points for the first time! WAS apprehensive at first, thinking it would be a bit too posh. How wrong can you be?? The service was superb, possibly the best I have ever had. The food was delicious and very reasonable. I highly recommend the potato and bacon flat bread and the steak. Although my husband had the steak sandwich and the bread almost hid the steak! Not enough steak in it for the price. However, that is the only downside. An absolutely great experience and we cant wait to go back. The house wine was nicer than most wines you would choose from an expensive list. Get to Cafe Novo.

Went here today for lunch and was very impressed with the excellent value for money and tasty food.

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

I took my parents here for lunch on Sunday, it was extremely busy which I took as a good sign. The food was satisfactory, the wings were far too hot and the mussels portion was far too small, even for a starter. We all had steak for our mains, and asked for them well done. The meat would have been really tasty had it been well done, however both steaks were burnt. My fries were covered in some mystery seasoning which overpowered the whole meal. My parents fries didn't have this powder on them, despite us all ordering the same. The service was very rushed, the waiter made my mum feel very uncomfortable as he came over four times during our starter to see if we were finished. It was as if he was trying to get us processed as quickly as possible. All in all, the food was okay, but a bit pricey for simple, basic and to be honest not great pub grub.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We held my friend's hen night here, 24 women in all. Everybody loved their food, everything came quickly, food was very tasty and very good value. The service was amazing from the waiting staff to the manager, I was really impressed. We all got a round of Sambucas free at the end. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The Waterside Inn
Opposite Howth Yacht Club, Harbour Road, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

We ate here on Sat for lunch and it was disappointing as we had been before and really enjoyed it. We were disappointed with the wings which seemed to be reheated as they were completely different to the previous week, dry, little sauce and felt like they had come from a microwave, supported by the fact that they got cold seriously quickly.

The Alamo Restaurant
22 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

I went here with my husband. We almost walked out. everything was very poor. The toilet was unisex, tiny and filthy. The food was awful, we had wings and burgers. Neither of us ate our food. We were not asked if everything was okay, despite the full plates we returned. I cannot describe how awful the food tasted. I will definitely not go back and would recommend that you dont either!

Restaurant @ Renvyle House Hotel
Renvyle, Connemara, Galway

We stayed here for a week and ate like a king and queen for the week. The restaurant is absolutely the best I have ever eaten in, with amazing combinations cooked to perfection. The breakfast is again, the best hotel breakfast that I have ever had. The bar food is good, but comes nowhere near the restaurant., The ambience is brilliant, service impeccable. 100 per cent excellent.

Redz Restaurant
West St, Drogheda, Louth

One of my least favourite restaurants in Drogheda. Have been a few times and there has always been a problem. Once, the waitress was rude, another time, the service was atrocious, another the food was awful The place looks great and is very popular, but I will never go here again.

D'Vine
Basement Distillery House, Dyer St, Drogheda, Drogheda, Louth

wow! What a great place. It really feels like you could be in any European city. It is quaint., rustic, tiny! The food and drink are to die for and the prices and service impeccable. I really cant wait to go back. Not for the fussy simple eater though, we had one with us and he was not too happy. Although ordinary people will love it. Especially good for a wine lover!

MV Cill Airne Boat Bar & Restaurant
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

This is a truly fantastic place. I have been a few times for a drink, but this was my first time to eat here. We were celebrating a birthday and there were five of us. We varied in age from 23 to 67 and each of us had a wonderful meal. No complaints here,a tad expensive but considering where you are it is well worth it.

Hunter's Moon
Main Street, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath

We were very pleasantly surprised by our food when we went here for lunch. It has been done up and looks really well. One problem though was that we were there at the beginning of lunch and when I enquired as to how the roast beef was cooked, I was told that it had been done last night! Other than that, good prices, nice portions, tasty grub....needless to say I did not have the roast beef!

profile_review

Ryan's of Ratoath Bar & Restaurant
Main Street, Ratoath, Meath

Visited here having read about it on menu pages. Food was absolutely gorgeous, although we went at lunch time and thought that there was only the lunch time menu, however, after we had ordered we saw people with different menus. Staff very very friendly, place could do with a little bit of a refurb but the food is excellent.

The Summit Inn
Howth Summit, Howth, Dublin

Wonderful setting, especially on a sunny day. Food can be a bit hit and miss. With a big party, one person can be extremely pleased and another extremely disappointed. Suppose it depends if the chef is having a good day or not. Would still keep going back though as more often than not the food is very good at fair prices in a relaxed setting. A must see for non locals.

Gibneys
New Street, Malahide, Dublin

Visited here on a sunny afternoon midweek in search of some decent pub grub. I commented on the cheap menu to my husband who laughed and said that that was probably because the food wasnt nice...then the food arrived. Chicken wings were alright, although we had asked for them to have no sauce, they came smothered in sauce, although tasty. So far so good. Onion rings, again very cheap...but this is probably because they came from the reastaurant supplier equivalent of LIDL. One bite eaten. Steak came, it was very tough, but pleasant enough I suppose, despite having to eat it without a steak knife. The major disappointment though was when the peppered sauce came on the plate in a styrofoam tub, complete with skin on top. The service wasn't great either. Stick to just a pint here.

Garam Masala
10 Stockwell Street, Drogheda Louth, Drogheda, Louth

Excellent Indian food served by possibly the friendliest staff in the world, only too willing to help. Tried and tested, nicest Indian I have had in Drogheda. Take away of the same standard as restaurant too. Decor is vey dated, but you find that a lot with Indian restaurants.

Romanza Restaurant
Distillery House,, Dyer Street, Drogheda, Louth

Went here again with friends, had a beautiful experience. Would like to go back with my husband, very intimate atmosphere with excellent choice and excellent food. Service was very good both times and the food lovely again.all at very reasonable prices. Very pleasant smoking area at the back so no need to stand on the street either. A new favourite!

profile_review

Black Bull Inn
Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

went here for the umpteenth time today. Excellent as usual.Have been here lots of times and have never had a bad experience. Even on Xmas eve, when very busy the staff remained very helpful and the food of an excelllent standard. Dinner menu is nicer than the lunch menu, althought they have a good soup and sambo combo, very cheap and very filling. Salads are great, in fact nobody I have ever gone with had a bad experience. Highly recommended. More than just pub grub.

profile_review

La Bucca Ashbourne

Bru Bar and Bistro
Haymarket North Bank, Drogheda, Louth

Very tasty food, extremely poor service. Could be a wonderful restaurant otherwise. However, each time we go there is usually a problem, more often than not with the service. Sometimes with the food, not getting what we ordered etc, which again comes back to service. Have given up going there, after the tenth time...its not worth another shot.

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

I have eaten here many many times. We went here for our anniversary lunch, dressed up, babysitter, expecting the usual standard. We were desperately disappointed.Starters were fantastic. Ribs are to die for. Wine was lovely(after I sent back the first corked one). Main courses, steak salad and burger both disappointing and when we said so the evening manager, who started shortly before we finished actually argued with us. Perhaps I'm old fashioned but is that good customer service?? Surely the number one rule should be not to let a paying customer leave angry?? Anyway, unfortunately I will not ever be returning and this makes me sad because I have had previous great experience. Maybe they should look at staff training to complement their menu and prices!!

Casa Pasta (Howth)

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

As always the Elephant and Castle was very enjoyable. Although, I do find that the wings get smaller with each visit. The staff are always very helpful and since we started to bring our son are only too eager to help in any way to make our visit more pleasurable. Well done!
