We've started coming here fairly regularly as the food is always great and the service, value and atmosphere all match it! This visit was no different, we brought my parents along who were visiting from the UK and everybody was really happy and had a fantastic lunch. The chicken wings really are the best in town!

I brought my father and stepmum here for lunch while they were over visiting me in Dublin form England and they absolutely loved Dunne and Crescenzi! We had a lovely long leisurely lunch and at the end I was asked 'why have you never brought us here before?!'. The food was really fantastic and there was a great atmosphere - a nice relaxed buzz of conversation and activity. It's great value for really good, authentically Italian food.

Five Guys
1 Block 4, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

Wow - just wow! Burger heaven! It's counter service and a fast food style restaurant but the value and quality of the food is amazing. The burger was the best I've had in a long time and the fries were out of this world.

Gallahers Bistro
16A D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I met a friend here for lunch recently and although the food was nice I thought €10 was a little too much for the small portion of pasta. We were also pretty much alone in there, it was very quiet considering the location.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I LOVE this Indian! It's fantastic value and the service is always brilliant but the food is the star - it's just gorgeous. I've been here many times and always had a great experience.

Beeftro - Dundrum
Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre , South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Fantastic lunch as usual. My only complaint would be that we ordered a slider and fries from the children's menu for our young toddler and it came with a very un-child-friendly long wooden skewer through the burger!

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

The food here at lunchtime was pretty good. The tuna salad special was delicious (although the tuna was a little overcooked) and it's such a beautiful building that it's a treat for the eyes to be in there during the day to be able to see everything.

Fade Street Social - The GastroBar
4-6 Fade Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Wow - what a fantastic place! I've been wanting to try the GastroBar at Fade Street Social for ages and so was delighted when a friend suggested it as a place for a group of us to meet up. It was the perfect atmosphere and style of dining for a group of friends to have a casual meal in a fun and lively venue. The food was absolutely flawless - perfect portions of delicious dishes for us to share. The waitress recommended the truffle pasta dish and I'm so glad she did because it was easily the highlight for me. The mini crab toasties were also fabulous. I wish I could go back again tonight!

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I have given this place a bad review in the past but I am very happy to change my opinion and give them the credit they deserve for a really great lunch. The service was really excellent and the waiter was particularly good with my baby daughter - very patient and attentive. The food was great and as it was a lovely sunny day we were able to sit outside by the water. Absolutely perfect.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I ate here with some friends on a menupages voucher on Friday and really enjoyed the experience. The voucher made the food great value and the service was also excellent. We were all very happy with our food, everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and really reminded me of a bistro in Paris so there was a lovely atmosphere about the place. The only negative I could mention was a strange live music act that was on that night - it was like a bad cruise ship act that was just loud enough to be distracting and did nothing to improve what would have been a really pleasant atmosphere. It would have been better with some gentle piano music without the vocal accompaniment.

The Vintage Kitchen
7 Poolbeg St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I can't speak highly enough of this place, it's perfect. The food is really amazing, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and there's a great atmosphere as it's always busy with happy people who are really enjoying their food! The BYOB policy is fantastic, the restaurant is great value anyway but this really makes it very affordable to eat here. The seafood chowder is ameal in itself and is the most delicious, beautiful chowder I've ever tasted. The only problem is that I was so full after eating this (I couldn't stop myself from finishing it) that I didn't really have room for my main course - an exquisite hake dish that I really wanted to finish too but couldn't.

profile_review

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

Good place for custom burgers. It's great value for really tasty burgers. The onion strings and the sweet potato fries are also really good. It's a little bit lacking in atmosphere and the service is only ok but it's pretty good for what it is.

profile_review

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I LOVE Yamamori! The food is so good, the atmosphere is great - it always has a bit of a buzz about it - and the service is always really friendly. I wish I could eat here every day.

Fantastic steak, cooked perfectly and served with delicious creamed potatoes and sauce. Absolutely brilliant service and a nice, vibrant atmosphere. Great restaurant!

profile_review

Canters Tandoori
9 Fairview Strand, Fairview, Dublin

I have some friends that eat here all the time and last night I finally had the opportunity to go with them. I wasn't disappointed at all, the food was absolutely delicious! The chicken tikka marsala was to die for (rich, creamy and very tasty) and the vindaloo was also beautiful (fabulously spicy but not too hot to eat). It is also fantastic that it's BYO - really makes it an affordable place to get a fantastic meal.

The Leopardstown Inn
Brewery Road, Stillorgan, Dublin

Great place for a carvery on a Sunday!

profile_review

KC Peaches Cafe & Delicatessen (Nassau Street)
28/29 Nassau Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I often go to KC Peaches for take away salads - the salad bar is always really well stocked with fantastically tasty salad options. The atmosphere is a little canteeny during the day but it's always packed which is testament to the quality of the food.

profile_review

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Great place for brunch on a Sunday. There's live music in the afternoon and the evening so you can while away a full day in here eating, drinking and being merry!

Saba is a consistently great place for a meal in the city centre. The atmosphere is always lively but relaxed and the food and service are fantastic.

Les Freres Jacques
74 Dame Street, Dublin City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I had dinner in Les Freres Jacques last Saturday while my father was in town visiting as it is his favourite restaurant in Dublin. It was a great meal as usual the food was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The only negative was the service, specifically one particular waitress as all the other waiting staff were actually excellent.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)

Great lunch here today. The bruschetta is delicious - so fresh and a perfect size for a lunch dish. The service was really friendly and overall great value.

ITSA @ Harvey Nichols
Harvey Nichols, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

I ate here in the evening for the first time on Tuesday with a group of friends. They have a good value deal for three courses and a cocktail for €20 so that was why we went. There is no atmosphere at all here in the evening, in fact i think there was only one or two other tables occupied. The food was pretty good and I had a nice evening in good company but I'm not sure I would rush back.

profile_review

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

This is a fantastic place to meet up for a casual bite to eat with friends. It's not fancy but the food is pretty good, the service is friendly and, as we were there in time for the early bird deal, it was brilliant value.

profile_review

Jamie's Italian
Pembroke District, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14 , Dundrum, Dublin

I'm surprised to read some of the bad reviews here as I have been to Jamie's Italian 4 times now and have always had a good experience and enjoyed the food. This time especially was excellent and the service was particularly good - my husband told the waiter that he loved the pickled chilli from the meat plank he had for a starter and our waiter then brought him a dish of them with his main course. The food was also really good. I had a hard time choosing which pasta dish I wanted to try and so many of them sounded fantastic but I was very happy to have selected the tagliatelle bolognese. The olives I had for a starter were amazing and the panna cotta we shared for dessert was the perfect end to a delicious meal.

profile_review

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love Crackbird! The chicken is amazing and beats all other fast food chicken hands down. It's great to get a few different dishes and share between people. The buttermilk chicken and the soy and garlic are both amazing and the whipped feta sauce is to die for.

profile_review

37 Dawson Street
37 Dawson Street, Dawson Street, Dublin

Divine brunch! The french toast with bacon and maple syrup was absolute heaven. They also have a great selection of brunch cocktails or smoothies for a healthier option.

profile_review

KC Peaches Cafe & Delicatessen (Nassau Street)
28/29 Nassau Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I work right next to KC Peaches and I often pop in to pick up some lunch. I love their salad bar - all the salads are so fresh and delicious and it's great value for the quality of the food. The sandwiches are also really nice and there's a great variety of interesting combinations on the menu. The staff are also absolutely lovely - always friendly and ready with a smile. I have never sat in the restaurant to eat but it's always really busy and packed with people at lunchtime.

profile_review

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I'm sorry to give this place a negative review but I wonder if they've changed their chef. I used to love the lasagne in this place (the one in town is always excellent) but the last couple of times I've been here it's been really disappointing! I forgave it the first time as it had been really busy and we were there for a late sitting but it was the same the next time - dry (the sauce was like tomato puree from a tube and there was no bechamel or cheese at all), bland and not what you would expect from lasagne priced at over €12 in an Italian restaurant. With plenty of other restaurant options in Dundrum I won't be going back here.

profile_review

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Best chicken wings in Dublin! I came here for lunch with Husband and we shared the chicken wings and an order of fries and we couldn't finish the portion it was so huge. I'm not sure anyone could manage it on their own, especially for a starter! They were amazing though - absolutely delicious and great value given the amount you get.

profile_review

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

I ate in the city centre Jo'Burger and it was a gorgeous sunny evening so we sat outside. The food was great as it always is in the Rathmines branch. The sweet potato fries are amazing!

profile_review

Whitefriar Grill
16 Aungier Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Fantastic brunch - especially the pulled pork sandwich! The drinks were also delicious and it was very good value overall.

profile_review

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I can see now what everybody is raving about! Great sushi, very generous portions and brilliant value. Can't wait to go back.

profile_review

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I used a menupages voucher for two swift lunch courses to meet a friend here for lunch. The service in particular was absolutely excellent, they were so friendly and helpful - it really makes a difference to the experience you have in a restaurant when the service is so good. The food was also really good - huuuggge portions (I took half of my sandwich home in a doggy bag because I hadn't a chance of eating the whole thing). Great value too thanks to the voucher!

profile_review

Ocha Teppanyaki & Sushi Bar
2 Main Street, Maher's Terrace, Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

Myself and a group of friends came to Ocha on New Years Eve and sat at the teppanyaki bar. It was a really fun way for a group of people to eat out and added a fantastic touch of fun and celebration to the evening for a NYE dinner out with friends. The food was fabulous and the teppanyaki chef was so nice and lots of fun and kept us all entertained throughout the meal, in fact all the staff are wonderful. It was also amazing value and we were all really happy we'd chosen Ocha for our NYE venue.

profile_review

Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had dinner here with a friend outside in the square on a beautiful sunny evening so I'm not sure what the restaurant is like inside. I really enjoyed the meal though - lovely plate of tortellini and a bottle of chilled white wine - what's not to like?

profile_review

Mao Restaurant (Chatham Row)
2-3 Chatham Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I was pleasantly surprised by the Cafe Mao on Chatham Row. The food was really good and fantastic value.

profile_review

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Nandos is pretty good for a fast food place. I would definitely prefer it to alternatives such as KFC and McDonalds as the food is fresh and much less processed and it's more of a restaurant than these types of establishments - it's a sort of fast food / restaurant hybrid. It's also nice to be able to get a quick meal somewhere that comes on plates and with cutlery.

profile_review

Lagoona Bar & Restaurant
Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Came here with some friends as one of us had a Groupon voucher for cocktails and a sharing platter. The cocktails were good and the platter was pretty standard but certainly a very generous portion - we couldn't finish it. The young guy who served us our drinks was lovely.

profile_review

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've been here many times for a glass of wine but last night was the first time I have eaten here. The food was nice (although some of my party were unhappy that their steaks were more medium-well instead of medium-rare as they had ordered them). The atmosphere is always lovely but it's a very small space so the tables are a little cramped together, this can feel quite cosy though so it wasn't a problem. The one complaint I would have was that at the end of the night the waiter had misplaced one of our coats and was completely indifferent about it. A different waiter had to step in and help to look for the coat after the original waiter became quite rude and dismissive. Not what you would expect from somewhere that was otherwise very good.

profile_review

The Pig's Ear
4 Nassau Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I'm giving the Pig's Ear the full 5 stars as I couldn't fault it on any of the categories. It has a lovely warm atmosphere, the food was amazing, the service was top notch and, as we ordered from the early bird menu, it was really great value. The duck with prunes main course was absolutely beautiful.

profile_review

Harrys on the Green
2 King St South, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here with some friends who had a city deal voucher and I would like to say that I had a great time, this was down to the fantastic company I was in however and not the food or service we received at Harry's on the Green. The manager was very nice to us and did his best but this did not bring the service score up too much after the waiter tried to seat us at a table for two even though there were four of us (and we had booked a table for 4) and continually rolled his eyes at us during any interaction we had with him. The food was also absolutely dreadful and I am scoring down for value too because if I had paid the price listed on the menu for the food we received I would have felt totally aggrieved about it.

profile_review

Cortina’s Mexican Restaurant
The Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

I'm giving Cortina's top marks on all categories as I really enjoyed everything about it. We had a twenty minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar and had a margarita while we waited. The margaritas at Cortina's are absolutely delicious and made me glad we'd had to wait to be seated! The rest of the meal was just as good and the service was friendly and attentive. It was also fantastic value so overall we were really pleased we'd chosen to eat there.

profile_review

Little Caesars Palace Restaurant
1-3 Balfe Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I was really pleasantly surprised by Little Ceasars, it was fantastic. The food was really good and it was very good value. We were sitting upstairs near the open kitchen and the flames and buzz really gave it a great atmosphere.

profile_review

La Bodega Tapas y Vinos
93 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6 , Ranelagh, Dublin

Visited Bodega for lunch today and absolutely loved it! The food was really fantastic. I love tapas - it's perfect for chatty weekend lunches - and each of the dishes we tried was gorgeous. The gambas pil pil was amazing - really huge, delicious plump prawns and a very generous portion. I can also really recommend the chorizo and chick pea dish, it was excellent. The service was brilliant also - friendly, professional and accomodating. I'll definitely be going back.

profile_review

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I really couldn't fault Pichet. The food is delicious and fantastic quality. It's great value (we ate from the pre theatre menu and it was wonderful) and the service and atmosphere are top class.

profile_review

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

I came here for a quick bite of lunch with my family and we were all very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The food was excellent and the concept is interesting and actually works (unlike some concept restaurants). What really made it great though was the fantastic service we received from the waiter who served us. He was really helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Good service can really make a restaurant and the service we received here turned a quick lunch into a great experience.

profile_review

The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

This is definitely one of the best restaurant options at Dundrum Town Centre. It has a gorgeous candle-lit atmosphere, great food, nice service and it's excellent value.

profile_review

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Just had a very nice lunch with a friend in Salamanca. It's a gorgeous restaurant - very warm and welcoming. The fire was lit and there was a really nice relaxed vibe. I could have happily spent all afternoon in there!

profile_review

Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I went to Solas last night with a group from work to use a city deal voucher. We all had a great time and were impressed with the food and the friendly atmosphere and service. The city deal voucher made it great value and we all said we would be glad to go back.

La Banca Ristorante
Main Street, Lucan Village, Lucan, Dublin

Myself and my partner came here for a late dinner on Saturday night on the recommendation of a friend and were both really pleased with the choice. We skipped the starters as we were both in the mood for dessert but the mains and desserts were all of great quality and really good value. The decor is also really funky and stylish.

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I came here with a friend for an early dinner the other night. It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was gorgeous, it felt really festive - warm and inviting. The service was also good and the food was really great value. I'd be glad to go back.

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The food is consistently great here and there's a nice, busy atmosphere about it. It's a great place to come for a quick lunch when you're in town shopping.

profile_review

The Exchequer
3-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here last night with some friends to use our city deal vouchers. We each had a main course, side dish and a cocktail as part of the deal and then shared the chocolate platter for dessert. The food was nice, my only complaint would be that I ordered the ling fingers and I would have preferred the tartare sauce to come on the side instead of already poured all over my food. There was a little too much sauce for my taste and it would have been much better if I could have made the decision myself how much to put on. Never mind though, otherwise the food was very nice, especially the dessert which went down a treat with all of us.

profile_review

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

This is a fantastic place to come for Sunday brunch. The food is gorgeous (I can really recommend the French toast) and they make a perfect Bloody Mary for only €5! There's also a live jazz band which gives the place a lovely laid back, elegant atmosphere.

profile_review

Locks Brasserie
No. 1 Windsor Terrace, South Dublin, Portobello, Dublin

I have been to Locks twice now since it reopened, for lunch and for dinner, and on both occasions I really, really enjoyed the experience. It would be impossible to find anything negative to say about this restaurant. The food was truly fantastic, the monkfish starter is absolute heaven, the pork is also a triumph - tender, tasty and succulent and the chocolate fondant is simply the perfect dessert. The service strikes the perfect balance of being friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and relaxing. Really, really great.

profile_review

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I can't say enough good things about this place after eating here with my other half last night. We both agreed that the food was absolutely gorgeous - the tempura salmon was the nicest thing I've eaten in ages and the ameretto, pistachio and rasberry dessert was the perfect end to a fabulous meal. The restaurant has a wonderful buzz about it without being too noisy, the service was excellent and it was fantastic value. I'm really looking forward to going back!

profile_review

Kilkenny Restaurant & Cafe
1st Floor, 5/6 Nassau Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This is an ok place to call into for lunch. The food is ok, the soups being a highlight, but there are probably better places in the area that offer better value than here. The portions are huge though.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I brought a friend here for lunch last week as a thank you and I was delighted that I'd made the choice to bring her to Yamamori as it certainly proved to be a great choice. We had huge portions of delicious noodles which were amazingly good value. I will definitely be back and I would to try it for dinner one evening. The Yamamori yaki soba were particularly good.

Rotana Cafe Restaurant
31 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2, Portobello, Dublin

I've recently discovered a liking for Lebanese food after visiting the Cedar Tree so decided to try Rotana as it is very handy for where I live. I was not at all disappointed, it's a lovely little spot with very nice food. The BYO policy makes it great value and the baklava is amazing.

profile_review

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have just been to Fallon & Byrne (the restaurant upstairs) for lunch and I am so impressed! It's a beautiful space to eat in and the food is delicious. The service is very polite and attentive but best of all was the incredible value. For €6 I had a gorgeous mushroom tart and spinach salad (perfect for a light lunch) and before they brought our meal they served us with a couple of slices of the most fantastic bread and a lovely little pot of butter. It was really good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

profile_review

The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Last night was my first time eating at this family-run Lebanese restaurant but it definitely wont be my last! I loved everything about it and had a really fantastic evening here. The food was delicious - my friend and I shared the Beirut Mezze and every dish was gorgeous. There was a very generous amount and we we had a very relaxing evening trying all the beautiful dishes and catching up - there was no sense of being rushed to finish and vacate the table as there sometimes is in other restaurants - even though most tables were occupied and the place was quite busy. The service was friendly and attentive and there was a lovely atmosphere because of it. It was also incredibly good value and I'm really looking forward to my next visit.

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

I've been meaning to come here for a long time now and finally went for an early dinner with some friends on Saturday night. I wasn't disappointed at all! The chicken wings that everybody raves about definitely live up to the hype. They were gorgeous. I would say though that it would be a mistake for anyone to order them as a starter just for one person, three of us shared a starter portion and it was more than enough! The burger I had for a main was also a hit - huge, juicy and delicious burger and a very generous serving of hand-cut fries. I will definitely be back!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Really good burgers! If you're in the mood for a great burger then you really can't go wrong here. There's a great variety of different burgers on the menu and I always have a soft spot for anywhere that has tomato shaped ketchup bottles on the table.

The Restaurant @ Marks and Spencer
Marks and Spencer, Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I had a lovely lunch here today. It's a nice, bright, airy cafe feel with an outside seating area which would be great in the good weather. The food was nice and very good value due to the two-for-one offer they have on main courses.

profile_review

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've been here for lunch a couple of times but the other night I came in for an early evening meal before heading on to an event. It was gorgeous! The candle light gave it a beautful atmosphere and the food was also delicious. I had the beef bourguignon and a glass of red wine which was perfect for a quick but nice bite after work. It was very good value also.

Manifesto
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

This is a great restaurant in Rathmines and has a proper pizza oven so the pizzas are fabulous. It has a nice atmosphere, good service and is reasonably priced for the quality of food so I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good pizzeria with a casual, friendly atmosphere.

profile_review

Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin

I have been here many times and it is always, always good. The food is great - I have never had a dish here that hasn't been top notch - and the service is always warm and accommodating. What is amazing about this place though is the value! For the incredible quality of the food the value is amazing - two courses for under €20 - and the restaurant does not charge corkage on BYO so you can have a truly fantastic meal in a lovely restaurant for a very reasonable price. Seagrass is a hidden gem that is well worth a visit.

I came here on Saturday for a special celebratory meal and as usual it was absolutely gorgeous. I've been here a few times before and it never disappoints. The food was delicious, especially the steamed sea bass with ginger, and the service was excellent.

Gotham is a great place to come for lunch or an early evening meal. The special menus are great value and there is always a nice buzz about the place.

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I came here on Saturday night for a meal with my family. We didn't have a table booked anywhere and fancied Italian so gave L'Officina a go (you can't book a table so we had to just turn up and hope for the best - as it happened a table were leaving just as we arrived so it was perfect). We were all really impressed with the quality of the food. It was really authentic Italian food and absolutely delicious. The lasagne here is the best I've ever tasted. The service was also really good and it's fantastic value for money.

Sushi King now closed on Dawson St
Gochi Japaenese-French Fusion Now Open, City Centre South, Dublin

I get lunch from here on a regular basis and love the sushi, it's always fresh and tasty and they provide a good variety of different options. I ate in here last night and I was really pleasantly surprised by what a nice atmosphere it has in the evenings. The bento box is great value and absolutely delicious.

Chai Yo
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. We'd been here before and it was as good this time as the last. The food is lovely and the restaurant is looking great since the refurbishments. My only criticism would be that the lighting is a little too bright for it to have a really great ambience.

Restaurant FortyOne
Residence, 41 St. Stephen´s Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I had lunch with some friends here yesterday and found it absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the portions were just the right size that after a three course lunch we were satisfied but not feeling heavy and overly full. The lunch menu represents amazing value as you can order three courses for €25. The service here is amazing - very attentive without being intrusive - and this makes dining here a pleasure.

The Bloody Stream Restaurant
Under Howth Dart Station, North Dublin, Howth, Dublin

I came here with some visiting friends as it had been highly recommended to me and we weren't disappointed at all. The food was delicious and great value and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The mussels were absolutely fabulous and the portion was very generous. We ended up staying here all night and getting the last train back to Dublin.

La Mere Zou
22 St Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I came here with some friends today to take advantage of the 15th anniversary lunch menu that is currently being offered. I've wanted to try La Mere Zou for a while now and I wasn't at all disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and represented fantastic value. The service was also very good and what was particularly impressive was that we managed to have three courses without feeling as though we were rushing or being rushed. I will definitely come back here in the evening some time to try the evening menu and enjoy the ambience.

La Cuvee @ Eno Wine Bar
1 Burton Hall, Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

I came here on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and really enjoyed it. The sun was shining so it was lovely to sit at the outsite tables and enjoy a glass of wine and a very nice Thai beef salad. Everybody I was with enjoyed their food and we also found the service to be very good.

Mother Reillys Restaurant
The Uppercross Hotel, Opp Tesco, Rathmines, Dublin

This place is a hidden treasure. I had read the good reviews on Menu Pages so decided to give it try while my folks were in Dublin for the weekend. We weren't disappointed, it was a great meal, very good service and absolutely amazing value. The portions are very generous and the quality is excellent so it really does represent good value for money. All the food was very good but the highlight was the banoffee dessert my partner had. I was too full to have one myself but a few stolen spoonfulls made me wish I'd left room for one as it was the best banoffee I've tasted in a long time.

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The €55 offer is great value. The food is really good for the money you pay, especially the mushroom starter and pork main course. My only complaint would be the desserts. The banoffee was really horrible and I think it had been sitting around the kitchen for at least a week before it was served. The rest of the meal was really good though so it was shame that the pudding wasn't up to the standard of the starter and main.

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What a fantastic place this is. The service is amazing, the staff can't do enough for you and even though we were with a large party the waiter remembered exactly who had ordered what and how the meat had been cooked for each order. Everybody was very friendly and the staff created a fantastic atmosphere. The food was also excellent, the prawn starter was to die for, the steak was perfect and the chocolate fudge cake was incredible. The whole evening represented great value for money and so I've given Trocadero full marks for everything and I'll definitely be going back.

Thai Orchid (Dublin)
7 Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I LOVE this restaurant. I used to visit quite regularly when I lived at that side of town but since moving further out of the city it has been a while. I was so glad to go back to eat here on Saturday because it's always so good and I'd really missed it. It's my favourite Thai restaurant and Dublin and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Wagamama is fantastic. The food is delicious and brilliant value, the service is always very good even though the restaurant is always busy (there are a few city centre restaurants who learn something from this!) and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The chocolate and wasabi cake is especially yummy if you have room for it.

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

The food is usually pretty good in Milano but the service consistantly lets it down and the staff can actually be quite rude at times. I understand that the restaurant is busy but sometimes it's hard to accept that as an excuse. Having said that it's got a decent atmosphere and the food is good value.

This is a great place to go for brunch when you're out shopping on Henry Street. The food is great and the decor gives the place a light, airy, funky feel.

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

The best steak I've ever had - no lie. The onion string were also amazing, my partner and I shared a half portion and there was still some left that we couldn't finish. We also shared a starter and dessert and had more than enough. It wasn't a cheap evening but it was worth it as a treat.

L'Ecrivain Restaurant
109a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I brought my boyfriend here for lunch for his birthday and found it to be absolutely gorgeous. The service is amazing and the food is some of the best I've had in Dublin. The portions are modest but this meant that we were actually able to have three courses and enjoy them, rather than ending up feeling stuffed and uncomfortable.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I am happy to update my previous review to a more favourable one from my last visit to Luigi Malones. I came here on Saturday night in a group and we all had a very nice, relaxed meal. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious (I can really recommend the lasagne here) and the service was also very good. I think Luigi Malones is much better in the evening than during the day and I was really pleased that it had returned to form.

Les Freres Jacques
74 Dame Street, Dublin City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I came here on Saturday with visiting family who wanted to bring myself and my partner out to somewhere special. We had been here before and really enjoyed it so we decided that Les Freres Jacques would be a great choice for the occasion. We were all delighted with the food and service that we received and had a brilliant evening.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Saba is a nice, stylish place to eat with good food, great cocktails and a nice atmosphere. The service isn't always brilliant but that might be because it's always so busy. The squid starter is worth a visit alone.

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I've eaten here a few times and it's a great place for casual dining with a few friends. The food is good and it's lovely if you're in a group to get a load of different tapas plates to all dig into and try everything. The pitchers of cocktails are fabulous - especially the mojitos! Every time I've been here I've had fun and really enjoyed the experience.

Nonna Valentina
1-2 Portobello Road, Portobello, Dublin

I went here for my partner's birthday on Wednesday night and had a great night. It was our second time at this restaurant and we chose it as a good place to celebrate a special occasion because it had been so good on our first visit. We have had two great experiences here and will definitely be going back. The food is gorgeous (and very generous portions!), the atmosphere is very relaxed and warm, the service is great and it's very good value for what you get. I'd recommend it highly.

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

This is an ok choice for a quick lunch but I don't think it's as good as its hype. I went here for lunch today and the soup was great but it doesn't necessarily represent good value when there are so many other good places to eat in the area.

Cafe Fresh
Top Floor Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, City Centre South, Dublin

I used to love going here for lunch as the portions are huge and would keep you going all day and the food is healthy and hearty. I am slightly put off now though since they put the prices up. I think I'd actually prefer a smaller portion and pay less for it as this would represent better value for money.

Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

This restaurant is ok for a generic chain pizza place. The food is decent enough but one of my fellow diners had a chicken salad and although the chicken was purported to be warm on the menu when it arrived it was cold. The menu is also a little limited although I suppose you can't really compain considering it is a pizza restaurant!

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I often go to the Farm for lunch as it is only round the corner from my office and the food is good. It has a nice atmosphere and the specials are often very good value. The service can be a little slow at times but is usually very friendly.

profile_review

Il Baccaro
Meeting House Square, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is a nice, reasonably priced restaurant. The food is good but not amazing but the surroundings are lovely. I had the squid and, although it was ok, it wasn't especially hot so it had gone a bit rubbery. It would have been much nicer if it had been served fresh from the pan.

profile_review

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

I love this place. The food is good, the atmosphere is fantastic, and it's really good value. The place is always packed which is testament to what a great spot it is. If you're looking for a casual, chilled out evening with great, reasonably priced food this is it.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I went to Koh for a quick dinner on Tuesday night with some friends and I will definitely be going back for a longer stay. The food was gorgeous, the atmosphere was great but it was the service that really made the place. The guy who served us was really friendly and entertaining and made us smile the whole time we were there.
