A gem in Dublin. Excellent value in an otherwise over-priced city for food. The choice is wide, the tastes are gorgeous. It looks so lovely and colourful and appealing. Four of us had different meals for lunch and they were all amazing - big portions, tasty and all a bit different from whats usually on offer for lunch. Would recommend this to anyone.

Had a lovely early bird meal. Very pretty restaurant with lovely atomosphere, nice back ground music. The meals were excellent, very tasty - could have been slightly larger portions. Maybe some bread on the table would have been a good idea. Decent wine list, and unlike many places in Dublin their cheapest bottle was reasonably priced and tasted good. Would definately come back.

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

My husband and i ate here last Friday night - after he had a very stressful ferry journey from UK (instead of flight). He arrived starving and exhausted and we just walked by after leaving the bus station. One of the best restaurants we've eaten at for ages, and so nice to have happened upon it accidentally. The decor and ambience was lovely, the service excellent. LOVED the bread - and very timely for absolutely starving man who couldn't wait for his dinner. He had the sole and I had barramundi on an amazing risotto. Prices were okay for the food, although we found the wine a bit pricey. We like the French and Italian way of doing things where there is always a house carafe which is quite cheap (less than €20 anyway). In Dublin this is hard to come by unfortunately. We will be back!

Il Segreto
13a/b Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for an early bird for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. Very pretty restaurant, good service and really delicious food. Would definately return. The only criticism is that the waiter kindly asked us if we'd like a glass of prosecco on arrival and we said 'yes why not, its a birthday'. It was lovely, but when we got the bill we realised it was rather expensive and had we known we wouldn't have ordered it.

Il Posto
10 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had early bird here and were delighted. Food was excellent, early bird menu had lots of variety (many don't) and the service was really good. Still think prices could be coming down more in Dublin for food and wine.

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Excellent value - one of the best in Malahide (which can be far too pricey). Food quality excellent and portions huge. Wine affordable (again - a treat for Malahide/Dublin where wine is ridiculously expensive too often). And to top it all the service was lovely - the women serving are a joy !! Will definately be back. Oh - and the views are great, esepcially if you get to sit in the window.

Greedy Goose
15 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Been 3 times already and booked to go again. Very pretty restaurant and totally different. Great views - there's not much in Malahide which capitalises on the view, this is lovely. Not cheap but good value. Good for those mid week nights when you can't be bothered to cook - and just have 2 tasters. But also good for smart celebrations - visitors are usually delighted because its a bit different, and its a good way to try loads of dishes. Early in the evening before they're fully staffed the waitress can get a bit over-whelmed but its not too inconvenient. Highly recommended.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Excellent early bird. Not sure if it would all be worth the full price, but the meal (2 courses) plus €5 bottle of wine - and a very good wine - was well worth it. Lasagne in particular was yummy. Will definately be back.

Excellent - again. Although I find the portions rather big this time we shared one main course and one starter - served together and it was perfect !!

Cafe Topolis

following reviews on this site went on friday night and it was excellent. Really good meals, quality and quantity, good wine list and not too expensive for central Dublin. Definately worth a return visit.

Great place to eat, food is exceptionally good. Pity you can't book a table, but apart from that no complaints and would definately go back.
