Atmosphere- The atmosphere was really nice at this restaurant. We sat outside in the heated area out the front. It was lovely and even though there were many people around us it felt very private and me and my partner were able to have a conversation with ease. Food- The food was delicious! I could not fault this one bit, everything was gorgeous and really well presented. There was also a little basket of bread and tapenade given to us while we decided what to order, which was a nice touch. Service- Service was polite and prompt. Value- The courses here are not cheap, however if you feel like a treat it's certainly worth it. We used a voucher so it was great value.

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

The burgers here are divine although a little over priced in my opinion. I also ordered deadly fries and like they're name say, they were deadly. They came with paprika and apple mayonnaise. There's always some decent music playing in the background and the menus are presented in the middle of some of your favourite childhood books, like Dandy. Great place for a casual meal.

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This was my first time in Cornucopia and it certainly won't be my last. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, not to mention the ample portion sizes. I'm not vegetarian but after this I'd certainly consider it. I got a cauliflower and mushroom parcel topped with puréed beetroot and for sides I had a chickpea and broccoli salad. My friend got the vegetable lasagne which she let me taste, it was also delicious. The restaurant itself is quite homely. The décor is simple and looks almost like your nan's kitchen. However, I didn't mind that too much as the food was so delicious I wasn't looking anywhere but my plate.

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

I couldn't say a bad word about the food. It was absolutely delicious. I had a chicken, bacon and goats cheese parcel for starters, baked cod on a bed of mash with aubergine, capers and butter as a main, and a sundae with brownie pieces, pistachio ice cream and raspberry compote for desert. All wonderful. The one bad thing I will say about the meal was the noise levels in the restaurant. It was so loud in there that I found myself having to shout to the person sitting right in front of me. The atmosphere in was a little pub-like for my tastes and it seemed like there were a lot of big groups in there gearing up for a night on the town. I highly recommend the food at Tribeca, but if you're looking for a relaxed and intimate atmosphere I'd recommend going somewhere else...at least on a Saturday evening anyway.

The Rathmines Inn
82 Lower Rathmines Rd, Rathmines, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

I had heard great things about the food here so I decided to bring a few visiting friends out for a meal. We ordered two steak sandwiches, done medium well and one burger. When the food arrived the first thing that struck us was the poor presentation. Beside the steak sandwich lay a limp salad of ice burger lettuce with no dressing. There was also a little bowl of coleslaw which was mixed with horseradish giving it an unpleasant bitter after taste. I know that some people like this but I wish they had given us the choice between that and ordinary coleslaw. The steak sandwich wasn't much better. Both steaks were under done, under seasoned and garnished with a drizzle of mayonnaise and a few chopped raw onions. I sent my steak back to be cooked medium well and it returned cooked well. My friend who ordered the burger wasn't too impressed either and said that it tasted fine but was nothing to write home about. Finally to top it all off, when we went to pay for the meal the laser card machine wasn't working. On a positive note, the staff were very obliging and very apologetic for the inconvenience caused and the chips were tasty. For the price paid we expected something a bit more impressive. I don't think I'll be returning again.
