Port House Pintxo restaurant
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 18th September 2010 ( visited 16th September 2010 )Have gone here many times with my girlfriend and we always have a great experience. There are so may options on the menu and everything is reasonably priced. My favourites would be the calamares, patatas alioli and the frango piri piri. This is all nicely washed down with the house white too. The toilets are 'interesting' to say the least. It's very dark which mightn't suit some people.
Nandos (Dundrum) restaurant
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 30th June 2010 ( visited 28th May 2010 )Very nice if you're in the mood for something cheap and cheery. The garlic piri-piri dressing is great, a bit hot but goes well with a nice brahma. The corn on the cob, chips and garlic bread are all very tasty, if a bit standard, sides.
Pizza E Porchetta
The Malting Tower, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2 , IFSC, Dublin
Ate here last week with a few friends. We all shared some mixed cheese and meat for starters and each had a pizza for a main course. The starters were okay but the pizzas were especially good. I also had an espresso martini as a dessert cocktail which was excellent.
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin
I always tell people if they're looking for good pizza Manifesto is the place to go. I was in here recently with my girlfriend and my parents and yet again it didn't fail to deliver. We ordered 2 of the 25€ deals, sharing the starters, and then had a pizza each for our mains. The portion sizes are very generous so this was more than enough. The Italian red wine we had was very nice too.
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Went here after the Ireland vs. France rugby game. Shared a portion of chicken wings with my girlfriend for a starter. Was as good as I'd heard. I got the club sandwich for main course which was a bit disappointing. The chicken was cold when i had expected it to be hot and the bread wasn't anything special. The chips were very good though. My girlfriend got the moules-frites which she said were excellent. Service was good in that they managed to find us a table without reservation, enough though it was very busy at the time.
Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin
Went here my girlfriend after going to the cinema and was looking for a bite to eat and a pint. I got the steak sandwich and a pint of Fischers. The sandwich was very nice and came with chips and salad. Very happy they served Fischers as it's an excellent beer. Atmosphere and staff were good too.
Howards Way (Rathgar)
8 Orwell Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin
My parents took me and my girlfriend here and I was pleasantly surprised as I had thought it was just a café. We all went for early bird which was 2 courses with a half bottle of wine. I got chicken wings and a steak which were both excellent. My only complaint would be that the chips weren't up to much but the mash that came with my steak was very good. Wine was nice too.
Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Went here with my girlfriend and we both got the early bird menu which i think is good value at €20. I had the lamb for starter which was excellent. I had chicken tikka masala for main which was good, but I've had better. The meal comes with naan and rice too. The naan bread was especially good.
Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin
We here with my girlfriend and her family for her birthday. I got the buffalo wings for starter with were excellent. Big portion too. She got the calamari which she said was good too. I got the American BBQ burger. It was only OK, didn't taste much BBQ sauce off it which was disappointing. My girlfriend got the duck which looked very tasty. Service was very good.
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
Came here with my girlfriend for a quick bite to eat. All the main courses are a tenner which is great value. I went for the burger and chips and she had the duck. My meal was very nice and filling. the homemade ketchup is good too. We both had a champagne lemonade. Doubt there's much champagne in it but for €3.50 it's to be expected, nicer than just getting a coke anyway.

YO Sushi Clarendon St
Brown Thomas, Clarendon St, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin
It was my first time trying sushi. I went with my girlfriend on a Monday to take advantage of the Blue Monday deal (everything is €3). Was pretty good. I had mostly salmon and prawn dishes but there was also a nice chicken salad. the portions are bigger than i expected. I would recommend to someone who wants to try sushi but is unsure as there are plenty of none fish options. Also you can order food which isn't on the conveyor belts.
Saagar Indian Restaurant
16 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Was here for a work lunch. We all got the credit crunch deal which is very good value at €9.55. Had the onion bhaji for starter which was really good. Had chicken tikka masala with rice and naan for my main course which were all fine. For less than a tenner you'd be hard pushed to find a better lunch.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Was here very recently and had a very enjoyable experience. Went for the 3 course early bird meal for €25. Had breaded mushrooms, BBQ chicken pizza and profiteroles. The mushrooms were nice and the pizza was gorgeous. Didn't think the dessert wasn't anything special though. Also had a very nice caipirinha for €5 which was good value. Service was very very good. Would recommend.
Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Very nice place, not so much a restaurant as a bar but the food is great. For less than a tenner you can get what I think is the best club sandwich in Dublin, with chips. The cocktails are very good too (would recommend the caipirinha). Great place for food and a drink.
24 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Poor service, I got the impression that they didn't want us there as the place was busy enough already. Food wasn't great either. Wouldn't recommend.
Montys of Rathgar
88 Rathgar Road, Rathgar, Dublin
Went here for my dad's birthday. Food was very nice. We had ordered the dumplings in advance. I thought the meat ones were gorgeous but I didn't like the vegetable ones as much. Had the babri kukhura for my main course which was very good. The staff were excellent.

My favourite Indian restaurant. The chicken tikka masala is just wonderful and the parippu vada (onion bhaji) and samosas are great for starters. Toilets are very nice too.
