Ate here 2 nights in a row, as food/service excellent, hard to find somewhere similar and also price wise. Very good selection of food and always efficient with a smile. If we are driving back through this way again, will definitely make a point of going back for dinner, truly brilliant!!

Wrights Cafe Bar
The Plaza, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Went in today for a bite to eat - our first visit (2 of us). Asked waiter if they did chile sauvignon blanc, as there was no drinks menu to hand, was told just New Zealand, so had sparkling water instead. We ordered 1 starter of potato skins, and they took over 20 mins to arrive! One of our mains came out, followed by the other 5-10 mins later....the kitchen was very slow to produce food and the waiting staff were very apologetic-wasn't their fault, but they obviously knew kitchen wasn't efficient today. The roast beef was cut extremely thick and very pink in places - not great. After seeing a drinks menu on another table, we had a look and sure enough they do chile sauvignon blanc!! but at this point we were just fed up, paid and left. First and only visit unfortunately.

Wongs of Castleknock
Ashleigh Centre, Main Street, Dublin 15, Castleknock, Dublin

Made a dinner reservation at Wongs for our wedding anniversary last Sunday and was so looking forward to eating here. When we arrived it was very busy and we were waiting to be seated for a good while. After we got shown to our table and menu's given, no drinks order was offered. Then about 15-20 mins later a waiter came over to take our food order. We noticed loads of tables around us were anxiously waiting for their meal and they were getting restless. We asked the waiter how much roughly of a wait would there be and he just advised "very busy tonight" - we decided to leave it and left, as we would be waiting a long time by the looks of things. There were only 3 waiting staff among approx 100 diners, who were also preparing drinks, serving tables, clearing tables, etc. More staff should be waiting on, as quite clearly only 3 is not enough during the "offer" days (sun-fri). Awful shame as have visited a good few times and really liked everything about the place.

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Quite disappointed with this restaurant. Don't bother ordering a white wine unless you want 1 of 2 chardonnay’s they only have! Starters were good, of which was loaded potato skins and chicken strips. Main course of tossed tomato and basil chicken, very dry and bland - disappointing to say the least. Had to leave it after 2 mouthfuls! 14oz steak was nice, but had to leave the onion rings, as they were dry. Staff / Manager were good to not charge for pasta dish and only charged half the amount for the steak. We won’t be going back, a popular place though for parties/18th's etc. A lively place, but not for us.
