The Roseville Rooms @ Faithlegg House Hotel & Golf Club restaurant
Faithlegg, Waterford City, Waterford
Reviewed 09th January 2012 ( visited 16th December 2011 )Had a meal there which was included with the accommodation. The menu was limited as I would expect in a small hotel. The meal was good and seasonal featuring game on both the starter and the main courses. The desert was adequate. The atmosphere was very pleasant with an open fire and good waiter service. I would recommend if staying at the hotel.
14b emorville avenue, South Circular, Dublin
Great little place hidden away near the South Circular Road. Quirky atmosphere to the place and tasty lunches.
Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Good meal. Seated beside the door and had to ask to be moved, but no problem. Friendly staff and good food.

The Burnaby Lounge Bar
Church Rd Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow
Had a three course dinner. The steak was below average. The meal in general was ok but nothing to write home about. The service was decent. The atmosphere was grand. It was a Friday and wasn't too busy.
Wrights Dispensary Bistro
31 Castle Street, Dalkey, Dalkey, Dublin
First visit here. Both my friend and I had the early bird which was very reasonable value. Drinks were a bit pricey. The meal was excellent. Very nicely cooked steak. Atmosphere was casual and pleasant. Would recommend to a friend.
The Hungry Monk
Church Road, Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow
This was my fourth visit in the past year and a half. Each time we visited the restaurant upstairs. Everything was very good again. On the pricey side but each visit has been worth it.
Suttons Bar and Bistro
Rochestown Park Hotel, Rochestown Road, Douglas, Cork
Had a casual meal here after arriving quite late at the hotel. Arrived at 2145 and was pleased to hear that they would serve us. The meal was good and portion size decent. The service was particularly good as the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Would recommend for anyone staying at the hotel and looking for a casual bite to eat. The atmosphere was pleasant, although it was close to the bar and busy it wasn't noisy at all. Overall was happy.
Main Street, East Village, Douglas, Cork
In general was very pleased with Amicus. My meal was very good. Portions generous and tasty. My partner's steak however was medium-well when she asked for medium-rare. This was replaced quickly and with little fuss. The atmosphere was casual and the service was pretty good in general. It is a very long restaurant and it was a bit difficult to get the waiter's attention when he was the other end. Overall we were pleased. Value wasn't bad.
O'Neills Bar & Restaurant
Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Eat here from time to time when in meeting friends and want a quick bite. The portions are good and the food wholesome, though generally the menu doesn't match what's actually available. Being a very busy city centre pub the conditions can often be cramped, particularly during big sports matches.
The Wild Swan Chinese Restaurant
1st Floor No1, Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin
Have eaten here on several occasions over the past few years. Normally opt for the early bird which is good value for money. The menu is varied well and the portions are generous. The service is always good and the atmosphere casual enough, though pleasant.
The Martello (Bray)
Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow
Had a meal here recently in the lounge. After ordering I regretted not going upstairs to the bistro as they have a decent looking early bird at the moment. Nonetheless I was very happy with the started which was very filling. The main was good enough. The atmosphere was quiet being a Thursday evening with mostly couples there, which was pleasant enough. If I return I'd probably go to the bistro instead, however will definitely have lunch here in the future.
Ouzos Bar and Grill
22 Castle Street, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin
Only eaten here once. Found it to be pleasant though nothing special. The service was particularly good and the food of a decent quality. I would consider going back. Suitable for casual dining.
1 Church Road, Malahide, Dublin
Have eaten brunch here several times at the weekends. Normally its packed and has a busy atmosphere. The food is nothing special in my experience. I was particularly unimpressed with the soup last time and the toasted sandwich was poor. In general its ok, however.
The Queens Steak Room
12 Castle Street, South Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin
Have eaten here several times in the past year and all visits were very positive. Unfortunately, however, this visit was not pleasant. The starters were fine. I ordered Steak medium and my girlfriend Steak medium rare. When the meal arrived everything was cold. The plates were cold, the veg, the steaks and even the pepper sauce (in a little jug) was cold. I asked the waitress to have them re-heated. They brought out new meals (new steaks) and the steaks were completely overcooked. Mine was so overcooked it was inedible. I again brought this to the attention of the waiter and the manager was called. He apologised and offered us drinks. We had desert and received the bill. They billed us for the steaks. I was so fed up I didn't even argue. I feel they should not have billed us for the steaks and probably not even at all.
Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
Have only eaten here once so far as I'm not a big fan of Greek food, however was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere I found a little cold and characterless. The food was good and the service of a high standard. Would recommend, though only if you're a fan of Greek food.
Dungeon Bar & Grill
Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney, Dublin
Have eaten here on more than a few occasions over recent years. Offers good quality, no frills grill style food. Has a nice warm feeling to the place and the service is good. Is a casual environment so suitable for may types of meals. Would recommend.
61 Park st, Dundalk, Dundalk, Louth
Have eaten here on several occasions in the past year. Have found the service to be average at best, however the food is of a reasonably good quality and the portions are good. Good for a casual meal out. Not a place to take a first date or impress someone.
Church Road, Greystones, Wicklow
Went there recently with my girlfriend. Enjoyed an excellent meal. Good selection on the menu, a nice atmosphere and decent service. Overall was satisfied and may return.
Campo de' Fiori Bistro Market
1 Albert Avenue, Bray, Co. Wicklow, Bray, Wicklow
The starters were both very good and the wine list was excellent, getting things off to a good start. The allowed us to try several wines before deciding. Furthermore they had several available by the glass and not just the one. The mains were pretty good, we both had nice pizzas. The selection was a bit limited unless you are fond of seafood. The steaks are only cooked rare which was a bit of a disappointment.

28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went with my girlfriend. Enjoyed the pleasant continental atmosphere. The food was excellent and the wine selection of a high standard, as I would expect in a wine bar. The only negative is that we were sitting literally on top of another couple and it seemed like we were at the same table, with no privacy. Next time when I book I will ask for a more intimate table.
53 Dame Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
Went with my girlfriend. We are both in our 20s and noticed that most of the customers there seemed to be regulars of 50+. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was very pleasant with the piano played live in the background. Overall I would recommend it and will return.
FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
Have eaten there twice in the past year and on both occasions have found the atmosphere pleasant, food very nice and service good. Will return again.
The Yew Tree @ Chester Beatty Inn
Main Street, Ashford, Wicklow
Had a meal there on a Friday night with my girlfriend. When we arrived we were the only two eating in the restaurant part, another couple arrived later. The starter's were adequate but her soup was very salty. The wine list was poor and very overpriced with a ten euro difference between the cheapest and the next most expensive. Both mains arrived almost cold and had to be sent back. The desert was adequate though nothing special. The service was very slow as the waitress seemed to be working the bar two. Has a drink later in the lounge and it was very disappointing too, dated and dreary. During the night on two occasions I felt like just walking out and going somewhere else. Overall I was very disappointed with the restaurant, food and the service. I would expect a lot more for the money I spent on the meal and have had a better meal for half the price.
