Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I visited Ciao Bella Roma for the second time yesterday afternoon. We had the early bird for 2 courses plus a glass of house wine for €12.50. The portions where large, the food was fresh and service was very good, Excellent value

The Blazin Grill Steakhouse and Seafood
Belgard Square, Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin

Visited her last week, I ordered from the A la Carte Menu and a bottle of house red. The house red is a nice Spanish wine and at 20.50 its a very reasonable price. My started of stuffed mushrooms was delicious, my main of hake was nice and fresh but a lacked seasoning. In saying that all in the service and food was very good and I will visit again

Jerusalem Restaurant
77 Camden Street Lwr., Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Best falafel in town!! went here yesterday on a menupages voucher. Its a lovely restaurant that is much nicer and larger than it looks from the outside. The food was fabulous and fresh and service was first class. With a BYOB option whats not to love

The Blazin Grill Steakhouse and Seafood
Belgard Square, Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin

Went here on the bank holiday weekend. We booked but where waiting quite awhile as the place was packed. The wait was the only thing that I can say was negative, the staff where attentive once we were seated. There is a good menu with something for everyone, fish, meat and veggie lovers alike. Its the only restaurant like it in Tallaght. I would definitely recommend it and go again

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Visited cactus jacks on a menupages deal which was 2 courses and a bottle of wine. There was a good choice on the menu and the portions are generous. The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was tasty.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

This place gets better and better. Went here on a voucher which at 35 euro in exceptional value. The food is above par in terms of quality. I had the mussels for starters which im still dreaming about. The place was packed and this can seat some amount. It was busy and I don't know how the staff did it but the service was top notch. I look forward to going agin

Soder + Ko
64 South Great Georges St, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited Soder & Ko on Friday evening. Got great seats with a birds eye view of the Kitchen. I had the crab dim sum and ordered it as a starter and the steamed hake as a main and two sides to share. The food was very tasty and fresh. My friend was equally happy with her duck steamed bun and beef for a main. The staff where very attentive and professional. I would definitely recommend Soder and Ko

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Went here for pre Christmas lunch on Sunday. We booked for 2pm and we were disappointed to hear the lunch menu stopped at 2pm and we could have the early bird. I have no issue with their early bird usually but felt 2 courses for €22.95 at 2pm with no change to the usual early bird was a bit much.

Corfu Greek Restaurant
12 Parliment Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for our Christmas dinner last night and the food, service and value was exceptional. There was great menu with 3 courses for €18.95 which had good choices that covered vegetarians and other dietary requirements. They also have a very extensive menu which would suit all palates. The Greek background music created a nice atmosphere and the manager was very helpful. I look forward to my next visit

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here on a menupages voucher 35 euro for two starters and two mains. The food was exceptional, the service was very efficient and friendly. Very attractive restaurant with a good ambiance. My only negative was the house wine. The deal was such good value but the wine was very acidic and I actually didnt finish it. A first for me.

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Good 2 course deal for about 13 euro. They hadnt go the first two wines on the list and there was Very few starters on the deal but there is a good choice of pizza including the lower calorie ones. Very good service

Douglas & Kaldi Rathbourne
1 Ashtown Square, Rathborne Village, West Dublin, Ashtown, Dublin

I have gone here a few times. There is a lovely out door sitting area, each time I have found the food tasty and reasonable but the service is shocking. You have to get your own menu as the staff walk by and never make eye contact and you always end up being asked about you will get a few other tables orders before you get your own. Its a pity really as service is the one thing that can be fixed quite easily and it would make for a very pleasant cafe if it was improved

profile_review

Eden Bar and Grill
7 South William Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went for a lovely early bird yesterday Wednesday. The Early Bird is all Evening Monday to Wednesday and at €20 for two courses its exceptional value. The food was fabulous the portions generous, the service is top class and decor is eclectic and easy on the eye. The only slight negative was the complimentary bread was extremely salty in saying that its only a small niggle everything else was really tasty and I will be going again

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Fab food hadnt been in years as used to find the decor on the sterile side but its amazing what a few soft furnishings do. I opted for the Early Bird and found the food reasonable, really tasty with generous portions.Service was friendly and attentive I would definitely go again

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I went here on a deal and the deal was excellent value. The food was fab..the venue is amazing but shame about the abysmal service. I was waiting over an hour and half between starter and main course we seemed to fair better than most as others where waiting ages to be greeted let alone seated. Service needs to improve with so many deals around service needs to be on par

Ginthai
The Plaza Hotel Complex, Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin

I visited the Ginthai for my 2nd time last Sunday with a menu pages voucher. The last time I went I wasnt impressed but I had heard from friends it was nice and so when the voucher deal came up I said id give it another go and Im glad I did. The food was really nice, I must have just made a bad choice the previous time, the service was excellent and its a nice addition Tallaght. I will go again

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Starter main course & a glass of wine or a soft drink for under €10 even at weekends where else can you get such value!. The food is very tasty, the price in unbelievable, the service is great and you get a loyalty card. Its a great spot for a tasty and reasonable lunch

profile_review

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This was my 2nd visit to the Green Hen. Went on a Sunday evening at 5pm and the place was packed. Had the early bird which is very reasonable with very impressive food with a decent choice. The ambiance is amazing, the service above par and I will be paying another visit again soon

profile_review

The Exchequer
3-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The Exchequer is not really for me I feel the restaurant or eating part is a strange room and although I cant fault the food and the portions are huge but you can get similar in most restaurants in town and they have a superior atmosphere. The service wasn't great it took ages to get drinks and we had to keep asking for them.

profile_review

Zaragoza
South William St., Dublin , South William Street, Dublin

Visited Zaragoza with friends for a girly night out. I have walked by numerous times but have never been really drawn to it, always felt it looked quite sterile and empty. How wrong was I, it was packed and inside is really nice lively restaurant. There is your usual tapas but also some larger plates that are really tasty. The staff where very friendly and informative and I will definitely be visiting again

profile_review

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went to Gotham Cafe on Friday night with work and really enjoyed it. There is a good selection on the ala carte menu with a lot of coeliac options and also a good few vegetarian ones. The staff where very helpful and attentive. The only negative was the food was bit on the cold side.

Tenors Grill Room (Perrystown)
186 Whiltehall Rd West, Perrystown, Perrystown, Dublin

Went here yesterday and the food was amazing, The portions are huge, I struggled after my starter but all in all its amazing value and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely visit this restaurant again

profile_review

The New Leaf Restaurant
Unit 1, High Street, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

I have to start by saying I dont 'usually@ like Chinese food as I feel as a vegetarian I get the contents of a spring roll in a curry sauce. The New Leaf changed this, I love this place my curry is packed with a huge variety of vegetables, the staff are always lovely, the portions are generous and we have gotten complimentary drinks on occasion. By far my fav Chinese would recommend it to all

profile_review

Ginthai
The Plaza Hotel Complex, Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin

I got the menu pages deal and after reading other reviews on menu pages I was really looking forward to it. We were both disappointed. The portions were tiny but on the 45 euro deal and being one that can never eat much in one go that suited me. Apart from the sizes the food was quite bland, and my main of phad thai was very slimey and that was real turn off for me. The place itself was more like a cocktail lounge and night club, it was extremely dark. Overall I was glad I tried it but wouldn.t be in a hurry back

profile_review

The Clarendon Bar
32 Clarendon Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The outdoor seating area was what attracted us to this bar as it was a lovely sunny warm evening and outdoor seating was at a premium. We opted for wine which was nice but the food was disappointing. The vegetarian lasagna should be renamed baked cheese. It lacked vegetables and was so full of cheese one would have nightmares for a year!.The chips on the side were excessively greasy in saying that my friend fared better with bangers and mash. I would go again for a glass of vino and sunshine but I would give the food a miss

profile_review

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I went to Brasserie sixty 6 when it first opened and swore I would never return due to bad service. A fellow vegetarian recommended I should give it another go as it had a full vegetarian menu. On a very wet evening in Dublin I gave it another shot and was pleasantly surprised. As a vegetarian you get used to saying I'll have the vegetarian option but to be handed a vegetrian menu with an abundance of choice really adds to a dining experience. I also noted this restaurant has a lot of coeliac options too. The food was fab, the service if anything was too attentive my only negative is that the house wine at 24 euro wasnt great apart from that I would highly recommend this restuarant to vegetarians, coeliacs, pescetarians and carnivores !

profile_review

Lincoln's Inn
18-19 Lincoln Place, D2, City Centre South, Dublin

The lincoln Inn is a nice spot for a drink with excellent pub grub. The pub has live music on Sundays, that was nice and intimate without being loud and intrusive. We then went to the part that is reserved for eating. The food was really good, the portions are massive and the cheese board sharing plate is one of the best I have had, the house red is pleasant and the onion rings are freshly made with a lovely light batter. I would recommend the Lincoln in for food or a drink and its a lot closer to Grafton Street than I first thought

profile_review

D'arcy McGee's Pub and Restaurant
Spawell Complex, Templeogue, Dublin

Darcy McGees has an extensive menu for bar food, it is reasonably priced and the service on this occassion was slow but I believe this to be unusual. I have been before and found the service to be quick and friendly. All in all its a nice spot for a family that want a bite to eat nothing too fancy but somewhere all the family will find something to eat on the menu.

The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

The Italian Corner is a regular lunch and sometimes early bird treat for my mother and I. I felt it was time to give this restaurant the review it deserves. This place does a great trade with tourists and I sometimes feel it is over looked by the local trade. While this reastuarant is based on the corner of Temple Bar its food is not the run of the mill one visit and you will never return fair, the food here is amazing. The lunch is the best the city has to offer, the ingredients are fresh, the portions are good sized, its tasty and there is a buzz about the place daily. I have recommended this restaurant, we have brought family and friends and all have the same feedback. This is a restaurant not to be missed

profile_review

Kiltipper Cafe Bar
Kiltipper Shopping Centre, Ellensborough, Tallaght, Dublin

I love eating out and have tried a lot of places around Tallaght/Firhouse as pub grub goes this exceeds all. The cafe bar itself is modern, the food is on a par with restuarants but at pub grub prices. The service is excellent and friendly and I couldnt recommend it enough for couples, friends or families.

Coppinger Row
Coppinger Row, off South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I finally went to Coppinger Row last Thursday after many weeks of saying I must. Being vegetarian the evening menu is quite limited but what I ordered was tasty. The atmosphere and decor more than made up for it. When we went in it was practically empty but within a half an hour the place was packed. The wine selection is nice and the staff are friendly I would recommend this place and I will go again

profile_review

Alfies Byrne's
Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Tiny but tasty!!...I went here for lunch...being a pen pusher & limited to the 1hour lunch rule..i always find eating out at lunch time wise tight..i popped into alfies at it was close by..and 2 course lunch for 10 euro plus a soft drink appealed to me. The 2 courses & soft drink came all at once. Portions were small but very tasty, the choice was good & the value exellent.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love this place for to relax over a bottle of nice wine with a few tasty tapas. The interior of cold bare brick walls with shelves of wines illuminated by the flickers of an array of candles creates an nice intimate and relaxing atomosphere. Its a treasure amongst the hustle and bustle of dublin city centre. A must go for wine lovers

profile_review

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

The BEST Italian in town!!...I used to go to Toscana nearly every couple of weeks but after a hiatus I returned in December with my mother & it was so good I returned with my whole family in early january for my birthday. Toscana's starters alone would fill you, the garlic mushrooms are so creamy and no batter only adds to them. The brushetta is big enough to share but so tasty its hard to do. And the selection of mains is so broach that it covers pasta & pizza lovers whilst also catering to the non italian lovers with salmon & steak dishes. My whole family loved it and are already looking to return

profile_review

Chatham Brasserie
Chatham Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here pre January pay day for the early bird special. We opted for the starters plus main plus bottle of wine for 2 for 45euro. At this price on a friday nite you cant be fussy. The starter was the soup of the day which was odd, it was yellow split pea soup, I wouldnt personally opt for that again. But our mains were really tasty. The veg options & an aromatic coconut sweat potatoe curry and a steak for my carnivorous companion. The wine was ok but the overal experiencem, food and ambiance was excellent for the price. I will def be going again

profile_review

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here just before xmas when town was hopping and it was hard to get a seat anywhere. Jewel in the Crown had a few empty tabels so we went. The food was fab, we opted for the early bird. My friend got a coke & i got a very large glass of wine. The starters were ok but the mains were fab. The service was not quite with a smile but the food more than made up of this. For indian lovers its a great value for money options and I will be paying it a visit again soon

profile_review

Tamara Restaurant
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

I am a regular visitor to Tamara's. I usually opt to eat out in Dublin City Centre but as this is near where I live I tried it out and I have to say it excellent. The food is so tasty and the portions are extremely generous but you can take a dogy bag home with you. My only negative is the staff can be too attentive & the food is so quick to arrive so just ask for a bit of a break between courses and they will. Its a great restaurant and I would recommend it to asian fusion lovers

profile_review

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Having being a regular for Odessa's sunday brunch in the last 90's I made a welcome return to the retro downstairs area for dinner last sunday with the girls. The food was fantastic and so reasonably priced, 2 of us ate from the early bird, the other 2 had a started and main from the a la carte menu 2 bottles of wine and 4 coffees late the bill came to 140 euro plus tip..brilliant atmosphere food & service, I'll be back !

profile_review

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been a regular to the shopping area and wine cellar but recently I recently ventured upstairs to the restaurant for lunch and the early bird in a space of a week. I found the food fabulous and reasonable on both occasions. Although the portions are on the small side we were all pleasantly content at the end and were impressed with the quality of food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
