Mayfield Deli & Eatery
Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Unfortunately the start was not great, when I asked could they scramble my egg It was a very clear and definite NO, poached eggs or no eggs I think is the motto! That said I selected an egg free brunch/lunch Swiss beagle which was very good and of a prodigious size! It has a very quirky feel, good mix of hipsters and the like.... would I be back ? .... sometime.... if they would do eggs to the order of the clients ...yep Id be back.

Spice of India - South William Street
6 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We booked with a Hi-Life card which gave use 2 for the price of 1! Boy was it good value, food was really good although they ran out of the jumbo prawns so the other half could not have the tandoori prawns she was looking forward to. That said the food was very good I had a sizzling Tandoori mixed grill which was fantastic! we will be back

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We went for a Sunday lunch here on a one off. As Indian curry fiends we like to try different places! This was a fixed menu with what they say is 2 courses - really 1 course and nan/rice. But still very good value. Good portion size and good quality meat/prawn. Not a huge amount of food but perfect for both of us as a lunch and for the money really good.

Kathmandu Kitchen Nepalese & Indian Restaurant
18 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A nice evening spent having the "feast/early-bird menu". The place was heaving at the seams and the craic was great. Food very good and the staff made an effort to get us a nice table. A lovely group of staff and a place where the food is good tasting and of good quality. We will be back!

Roshni
4 Olivemount Terrace, Dundrum, Dublin

A great little restaurant. Food is tasty and of good quality. I do keep in mind that this is a good value spot so I measure my expectations accordingly. It can be a little cold, although the gas heater does help. Its the kind of place you go to for that spur of the moment evening bit of food..... long may it stay!

L'Gueuleton
No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Our family Christmas meal is here every year. That speaks volumes. Its a very stable restaurant with a stable menu.... will it be cod next year too? Its good food with a French nod. At Christmas time of course it is packed and the staff are working very hard. A little bit of a change to the menu would be great- specifically the fish!

Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

its not you its me...mmmmmm..... im sorry, but I dont get the hype of this place. The food is plain, bland, greasy and not at all like street Indian or Pakistani food. It is CHEAP but I can get way way way better food in a local take away. Having traveled widely in Asia I have to say it doesn't remind me of street food or restaurant food over there. If it appeals to you enjoy, just count me out.

Myself and partner ate here on a spur of the moment. Food was excellent with friendly staff. The cheese was amazing and provided you like raclette and the similar you will be in heaven. Strong flavors nice glasses of wine and a good price. I will be back.

Charlemont Bar & Bistro
Hilton Dublin, Charlemont Place, Portobello, Dublin

I had a working dinner here last night with a colleague. The beef burger was good, although pink in the center I am hoping that was intended! Service was efficient while not a nuisance. While it was a Monday night there were a handful of gusts. A very quiet hotel bar, perfect for continuing the days business discussions

Restaurant Gigi's @ The G Hotel
The G Hotel, Wellpark, Dublin Road, Eyrecourt, Galway

Over all a restaurant which is reaching a little too far. I had the fish platter for two and the Chateaubriand. The trout was ok, however it felt lacking in love, it was bare bar the spoonful of trout caviar which while pleasant to look at really was minimal in the taste enhancements. Crab was excellent and probably the winner on the plate, the scallops were fine. As for the main course the beef was cooked well, sauces were poor Bearnaise was a little heavy on the vinegar. Wine was extremely cold and while the waiter did place the bottles in a bane Marie it was still cold... lots of little things which just shouldn't be there in a 5 star establishment!

I recently enjoyed a meal at Roly's- the menu has remained largely the same for many years and while this can be a little tiring it does ensure its like eating at home. The food is always well presented, good flavors and excellent quality. As a location for a special family meal or a working dinner its perfect.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

Had a really nice evening here. Music was really nice touch! Food was as I had sampled previously very well prepared and seasoned. I love a good Indian, having traveled in the East and closer to home all over the UK, I am happy to say that Vermilion gives an excellent take on some traditional dishes and has some new inspired creations! Over all a lovely spot for a Friday night meal!

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

As an earlier poster mentioned Odessa can be Hit or Miss... well they missed on food on most counts ... Doh.... but they hit on the atmosphere and the service - well done to the waiting staff, happy, knowledgeable and helpful. Food was like it was all pre-cooked Irish full breakfast had concrete potatoes must have been reheated many times!! Coffee good; for two 36euro - 2x breakfasts + 2x coffee

Went with a menupages deal and was very very pleased. I have been coming here on and off over the last 6 years and it is always so very dependable. Very busy night service was still good. Food excellent..value for money - priceless.
