Naas as a town does not have a lot to offer when it comes to great places to eat, that was until Vie de Chateau opened of course. Its a small cosy interior with cute presentations of delicious food. They have regular specials and the prices are affordable. I always order something different evey time I go, they change the menu by the season which is what I like most of all. Other restaurants in the area fell down because they did not stimulate the locals enough, and once you ran around the menu enough times it stop drawing you back...keep up the good work.

This cafe is great for tourists, but for the locals it is very cramped, in saying that their cows lane restaurant is well laid out and cosy to dine in. love the teapots and old crockery, just like my grans!

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

There's a reason it get crowded at Toscana, once your seated and served you'll understand. The linguine seafood was the best I've tasted, my partners Risotto special with black pudding and poached egg was not allowed to be shared! Beautiful decor, and the staff are really great!

Il Posto
10 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here on a friday night late and the service was very nice. One thing I noticed was the choice of food on the menu. Although delicious, I had the liver as mains, the options were expensive for what they actually cost. Liver as we all know is cheap and so is spaghetti with mussels. Im no economist but understand smaller restaurants usually charge that bit more than larger extablishments but a little bit more expensive ingredients would be welcomed for their prices. Cute little place and staff refreshingly welcoming.

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been to Rustic Stone a few times and still come out believing the marketing and menus are designed for the female, slimline palate. My other half likes it but for me the food is too sweet. Cooking my own tuna steak in a celebrity chefs restaurant does not make sense to me. However I'm sure I will have to give in again to her at some stage and go back.

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here on a friday night, the place was busy when we arrived. We opted for the set dinner menu and the food both tasted and was presented very well. Particularly the cured salmon starter which I still crave for. The wine selection and quality is very good. My only gripe was that their music did nothing for the ambience of a french style restaurant. It seemed it was selected to a high volume to camoflage the live music coming from the fire exit door was very off putting. Everytime the staff opened it I felt I was transported to a trad session, it was too loud, which spoilt what otherwise is a very nice restaurant.
