I would be a huge fan of Vermilion but having not been in a couple of months we were massively disappointed when we went last night. Firstly our server was completely disinterested in us, no ice in the table water, looking around as he was pouring it, plonked the unopen drink can down in front of me etc. Secondly the menu has been made a lot smaller, most the standard chicken dishes my husband orders are no longer there. There was always a lighter option on the main course menu where you could have a smaller portion but this has now been taken off the menu. The food when it came was only ok, usually this would be the point where Vermilion comes into it owns but there was just something missing from it. Not sure if the chef has changed but something seems to have happened. Didn\'t bother with dessert or coffee because I kind of just wanted to leave at that point. Vermilion is pricy enough but the quality of the food and staff usually warrant the extra cost however last night it wasn\'t worth it. Can\'t honestly say if I\'ll be back or not.

My favourite restaurant ever! Amazing food, staff are so friendly and attentive & the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Cannot recommend Vermilion enough!!!

Vermilion

Ate here on Friday evening using our Menupages voucher and we adored the place!!! My husband is not usually a lover of Indian food but he was very impressed with the whole experience. We were invited to choose where we wanted to sit which in itself was unusual and most welcome. The service was faultless, the atmosphere wonderful and the food was beautiful. The Beef pepper starter was one of the nicest starters i think i've ever had and the Eton Mess dessert was to die for. Wonderful evening and very relaxing so much so that we are already planning our next night in Vermilion!!!! Highly recommended.

Clayton Hotel Sligo
Clarion Road, Sligo Town, Sligo

Had a meal here with 14 girls as part of my best friends hen night in Sligo. I have to say that everyone was blown away by the set menu. The choice of food was fantastic and the meals were delicious! Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The good thing about this place is that yes they do welcome hen and stag parties but don't let that put you off. There is a seperate section for large parties so couples, families etc will not have to worry about being disturbed over dinner. Staff lovely, well worth a visit!

The Goat Bar & Grill
Goatstown House, Goatstown, Goatstown, Dublin

Went here with my family, parents and grandmother on Mothers Day and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Portions were generous, price was reasonable and staff were extremely friendly. All the mothers even left with roses which i thought was a lovely touch. Will be back on Easter Sunday for lunch!!

The Winter Garden Restaurant @ Red Cow Hotel
Red Cow Moran Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

We had the meal at our wedding reception here in June. I have to say the staff were fantastic and the food was top notch. The early bird menu is excellent. We had some fussy people eating with us that day and there was something for everyone on the menu. Despite other reviews i've read for this restaurant i would highly recommend it. So much so that we are heading there next week for my 30th birthday dinner.

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Have eaten here a couple of times and the only thing i can say to people going on a sunday for the carvery is prepare to queue. I've stood in line around 10 to 15 minutes every sunday i've went for carvery but the food is nice but slightly pricy. The service can be quite slow but then again the place is always packed since it won Pub of the Year so i suppose that's allowed. I will go back there from time to time but it can be quite off putting when you have to search for available seats while carrying your tray of food around.

The Waterside Bar & Bistro
Ninth Lock, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Ate here last Sunday evening with friends. The food was absolutely gorgeous! We got a large portion of ribs for starters which was very very nice. One of our party had the Bacon & Cheese burger which he said was really tasty. The rest of us had the fillet steaks which were perfectly cooked and were lovely. Their pepper sauce is the nicest I've tasted in ages and the portions are bigger than I've gotten in other places. 10/10 for this place

Arc Cafe Bar
Liffey Vallley Shopping Centre, Fonthill Rd, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

I thought this place was excellent. Visited here for dinner with my boyfriend last saturday evening for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. We asked for a quieter table which we were immediately given, the food was excellent and the service was extrenely friendly. I'll always remember my first time in the Arc now because its where i got engaged!!!

Tree Top
Over Laurels Pub, Main Street, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend and son ate here last Sunday afternoon. The food was ok but the service was awful! We arrived and had to wait for a table despite the restaurant only being half full. Once we were seated it took another 25 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order alone. Was disappointed with the service as I would have assumed it would have been a lot quicker. Doubt I'll go back again.

The Brasserie @ Newlands Cross
Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross, Clondalkin, Dublin

I've only ever eaten here a handful of times and it is fine for a quick bite to eat I would always go elsewhere for a proper sit down meal. Always feel rushed with the service but the food is good. I do think there are better value and quality restaurants in the area though.

The Laurels (Clondalkin)
Main Street, Clondalkin, Dublin

I love calling into the Laurels for pub grub during the week when I can't be bothered cooking. Food is always lovely and staff are attentive without being intrusive. Always order the same thing though for some reason despite the menu being huge!

Pearl Orient Fusion
6-8 Dutch Village Shopping Centre, Clondalkin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Had a gorgeous meal here with my boyfriend on Saturday night. Lovely friendly staff and the food was top class. My bf is usually fussy when it comes to Chinese food but really enjoyed the meal. Really big menu with loads of lovely stuff to choose from. The only negative comment I could give is that they could probably have a slightly better dessert menu but by the time we finished our main courses we were far too full to even consider a dessert. Will definitely return!!!

Muskerry Arms
Blarney, Blarney, Cork

This pub is a little treasure for pub grub. Ate here twice over the Easter weekend and fell in love with the place. The service was really quick and friendly, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the prices were extremely reasonable. Will definitely eat here when next in Blarney and hope to try out the main restaurant. A great pub for music, sport & most importantly food!!!

Inniscarra Restaurant (Ramada Hotel)
Blarney Golf Resort Blarney Tower, Blarney, Cork

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for the easter weekend and ate in the restaurant on easter sunday night. It turned out to be one of the worst hotel restaurants we have ever been to. Firstly the waitress got our drinks order wrong, then the wrong food order came. While our starters were nice, the steaks we ordered for the main course was tough and tasteless and the desserts tasted so bland we hardly touched them. When the bill came it was wrong so we had to sit and wait while that was sorted out.The hotel is lovely but i will steer clear of the restaurant when staying there next.

Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Ate here with my boyfriend last night. Nice and quiet for a change and service is lightening fast which is always good but it can feel quite rushed sometimes. Food is nice, normal standard for an italian restaurant. Word of warning though, most of the desserts sound gorgeous but are basic frozen desserts when you get them. All in all not a bad restaurant, quick service, hot food, good parking.

Mackeys Restaurant
The Square, Blarney, Cork

I ate here during a recent mini break in Blarney and absolutely loved it. The menu was vast, the portions were huge and really tasty and the staff were extremely friendly. A lovely little restaurant with a nice homely atmosphere. Well worth a visit particularly if you have kids with you. I will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended

The Conservatory Bistro @ The Glenview Hotel
Glen of The Downs, Delgany, Wicklow

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the Glenview last weekend and had a fantastic champagne dinner in the restaurant upstairs. €45 pp for the set menu. The smoked chicken salad was amazing and the fillet of beef was beautiful if a little undercooked. Unfortunately we were far too full after the main course to have desserts!! The staff was extremely friendly and you are left alone to enjoy your meal which i really like. Highly recommended!!! Treat yourself to the Premier Jouer champagne, its to die for!

profile_review

Lamb Doyles
Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Dublin

Have eaten in Lamb Doyle's twice now. The first time the food was amazing, huge portions and the apple pie was to die for. The second time i was there was completely different. The portions, flavour and overall presentation was of a much lower standard so i was disappointed. In saying that it is a handy little place to pop into for something to eat so i will probably eat there again simply because it is fairly close to where i live

profile_review

Pattaya Thai and Chinese Restaurant
9th Lock Road, Nangor Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I went for dinner here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago during the infamous power failure in clondalkin. Our usual spot was closed so decided to try Pattaya. Got a table no probs but asked to move as there was cold air blowing straight down on us from the air con. Unfortunately they got our order all wrong and brought us chips which were not ordered. The waiter said we would not be charged for them but discovered when we left that we had in fact been billed for them. The food was nice but overall i felt that there were better restaurants in the area that were more reasonably priced and provided a better service.

Eddie Rockets (Rathfarnham)
Unit 2, Nutgrove Shopping Centre, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

I keep saying I will not eat in Eddie Rockets anymore but always go back. The food is lovely but way too expensive for fast food. Considering cheaper places are a stone throw away, I fail to understand how Eddie's still does a lot of business. Great hangover food!

Manifesto
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

I ate here on Saturday night with friends. We were a little disappointed with the menu but couldn't fault the food. Nice atmosphere and the staff were extremely friendly. If you really like your Italian food I would recommend Manifesto. A wee bit on the expensive side but quality food.

Rody Bolands
12-14 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Rody's is by far my favourite place to eat in Rathmines. Pub grub of the highest order. Fantastic menu, great prices, great staff, great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

profile_review

Fillies Bar & Restaurant
Leopardstown Racecourse, Leopardstown, Dublin

I've had lunch here on a few occasions but always find it quite rushed. The food is nice and the staff are friendly but I find that the queue to pay for the food is a bit off putting. Maybe it’s just me though!

profile_review

The Stillorgan Orchard
1 The Hill, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin

Having visited the Stillorgan Orchard numerous times for lunch I have to say as far as pub grub goes its one of the best places I’ve been to. The portions are always quite large and the quality of the food is always of the highest order. The only downside I suppose is that it can get quite busy particularly on a Friday but a simple phone call to reserve a table usually solves that problem!

profile_review

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had a meal here with work mates last week and didn't enjoy the meal at all. The starters were quite bland and the main course was only ok. The service was quite slow. Overall I was disappointed with the experience. Would not go back.

My Thai
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

I have had lunch in My Thai quite a few times and always find it excellent. The food is always plentiful and very tasty while the staff are lovely. Its one of the few places where you can have your lunch without feeling rushed. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a fab meal in lovely surroundings.

Victoria Chinese Restaurant & Take Away
4 Main Street, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

Went here with my boyfriend for our first night out and had a great time. The food was lovely, good wine menu and the service and atmosphere was first class. They had run out of the dessert I originally wanted but the alternative they suggested was delicious. Highly recommended.

E Scent
Coach House, Ballinteer Avenue, South Dublin, Ballinteer, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times and the overall quality is good, staff are friendly and prices are average for what you get.

profile_review

Chrysanthemum Chinese Restaurant
Unit 1 Old Orchard Inn, Butterfield Ave, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

I went here a couple of times for parties etc and found the whole experience quite disappointing. It’s really noisy even when there are only a few people in the place, the staff are not very friendly, food is ok but the price is extortionate. Would not recommend.

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I absolutely love Joels. It’s cheap and cheerful and the portions are really big. I find the staff lovely and extremely helpful. Great for families and spur of the moment nights out! Highly recommended.
