I would highly recommend Chameleon Restaurant in Temple Bar, it's an absolute find! I had no idea what to expect as I was going along for a birthday party and had never been to this place before. As there was a large number of us I did not even need to pick one of the menus, they simply get bringing out more and more dishes. This meant I probably got to sample more than is possible on the menus available. Everything was delicious. I had a fish cake like I've never tasted, everyone raved about the pork belly, the chicken satay was fantastic and that's to name only a few. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They made sure before they brought the food out that they were aware of any food allergies among the party, of which there were a few. They then announced each dish with a description of it as they brought it out which really added to the sense of occasion. After sitting at one of the tables where I was able to take my shoes off and curl up my legs it was a joy to be able to lean back on the sofa back after indulging a little too much. I have been telling all my friends about this lovely restaurant and am looking forward to my next visit.

Myself and my boyfriend popped in for a bite to eat in the restaurant. We would regularly get their chicken wings on a Sunday afternoon so decided to try out their dinner menu. Overall, I have to say I was disappointed. The atmosphere was fine, not too busy but enough to create a nice ambiance, the service was friendly, but it was the food that was lacking. Firstly, their menu wasn't that extensive so to be told on arrival that two of the options were unavailable was disappointing. My boyfriend opted for the duck which he was reasonably happy with, however, he did ask for the sweet potato to be placed with baby potatoes, when this arrived it came with mash. Lost in translation? I went for the beef bourguignon special... nothing special about it I'm afraid. The potatoes were underdone and I could count the pieces of beef on one hand. It left a lot to be desired and I was still hungry afterwards. Feeling a bit deflated after the main courses we decided to call it a night so didn't sample the desserts. It's back to the chicken wings for me.

Il Vicoletto
5 Crow Street (Next to Foggy Dew Pub), Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I simply cannot recommend this place enough! I've been here twice now and have not been disappointed on either occasion. The staff are wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. They have no trouble in recommending delicious wines and explaining the dishes in minute detail. The food is so authentically Italian, and that is speaking as someone who lived there for a long period of time. Having a meal here sends me right back to Rome! One minor gripe would be that on both occasions that I dined here the table was not ready despite a booking being made well in advance. However, it wasn't too much hassle to go next door and have a quick drink to kill the time! I will definitely be back here and will be recommending it to my friends!

L Mulligan Grocer
18 Stoneybatter, Stoneybatter, Dublin

I went here as part of a group celebrating a 40th birthday and found it to be a nice little place for a bite to eat. I found it odd that despite the booking having been made for twelve people we were place at three separate tables beside each other which broke up the group and affected the birthday party dynamic. Food was hearty and traditional. Perhaps there could be slightly more variety on the starter section as I found it difficult to find something that I liked despite not being what I would consider a fussy eater. One issue was that one of the diners had requested her steak to be very well done and it arrived medium rare. However, upon realising this when the staff collected the plates they were quick to say that they would not charge for it. Overall it was a pleasant place to eat and I will probably be back.

Broadway New York Eatery
Unit 6, Custom House Square IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

This is a great little spot for anyone working in the IFSC! I popped in for lunch yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food came nice and quickly so it was feasible to come here on an hour's lunch break. The place was buzzing with lunchtime diners and there was good, old style music in the background adding to the atmosphere, I think it was Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble when I was there. As for the food, make sure you go hungry! The portions were plentiful but tasty at the same time. Myself and my friend's had a range of different things... pizzas, salads and sandwiches, and everyone was happy! Make sure to keep an eye on the specials board. We were spoiled for choice. I'll definitely be popping in here again for a lunchtime treat!
