Cinnabar @ Crowne Plaza Hotel Northwood
Santry Demesne, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
We ended up here on saturday night as group of 6 after a disaster in Oka restaurant beside it. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good and atmosphere was good also. All agreed they would definitely return again .
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
We booked here for my Father in laws Birthday. It was a disaster from the beginning. The menu is pretty small so I really can\'t understand what could be causing the confusion. \nWe took a seat and we\'re given water by waiter we asked him could we order drinks..but he never took order. We waited over 20 mins to place food and drink order. When we did get to order 1 of the starters was unavailable but they forgot to mention when we got menus. We waited another 15 mins at which time we told staff we still hadn\'t recieved our drink order. This arrived at the same time as our starters in the end ..40 mins after sitting down. Starters (except Yuk Sung) were very nice. \nWe then waited for our main course. While waiting we noticed that the table beside us had been given food thst they hadn\'t ordered and we realised it was 2 of our main courses. We pointed this out to the 2 waiting staff who chose to ignore us and leave it sitting on another empty table. They came back 5 mins later put the meals on our table. .still no plates, side orders or other mains. 10 minutes later we were still sitting waiting for rest abd the sides. I asked the waiter could we be given fresh meals as the rest of our group were still waiting abd we still had no sides. We at this point complained. .While we were in middle of complaint Mr grumpy waiter put the 2 dishes back on table and informed us \"they were warm now\"!! So had been put in microwave!! This was last straw...we left. The staff did apologise to us but thst is very little use to us after ruining what should have been a lovely family meal to celebrate a birthday.
Swords Pavilions, Swords, Dublin
Not impressed! You place your own order get your own drinks cutlery etc then sit down and food is brought when ready. Portions are very small..my husband got the "double breast chicken" in a wrap..was actually a wrap full of lettuce and a taste of chicken. I got the butterfly chicken..which was a small breast of chicken butterflied..not a big portion. Both were very average at best. 2 kids meals one very average..the other probably best meal of the lot, 2 drinks and bill was just under 47 euro..left feeling robbed and unsatisfied!
Jamuna Indian Restaurant (Meath)
4A, Ashbourne Court, Main Street, Ashbourne, Meath
Average!! They do a value meal which is good value but the sides and Beer brought the bill from reasonable to expensive. Food was only ok as was the service. Bill came to 95 which felt expensive what we got....then to top off the waiters made it very obvious that we were holding them up...at 10:30 all in all we wont be back!!!
The Grand Central Cafe Bar
O'Connell Street, O'Connell St, Dublin
Went here before concert in O2..very handy as right beside the Luas. They had a club sandwich as there special that day 3 of us got that it came with Chips and a salad and it was fab. The 4th person had chicken baguette with cios and salad too and she said it was really nice. Didnt really like the place its self but thats just personal preference...But food was fab and would return again for a quick bite and head on.
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here On saturday night in a large group. Great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and service was great. everyone enjoyed their meal. Good Value too 50 euro each with decent tip and no shortage of alcohol. Not somewhere you go for romantic meal and the food is basic enough, your not going to think its the best meal you have ever had, but it is tasty and great for a group of friends. All in all we were pleased and will go back
F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here on Friday with 2 friends. when we went in place was busy and the waiter told us our table was upstairs. This was alot less impressive. very little atmosphere, really had a feeling of an 'overflow' room. ordered the prawns to start which were lovely. my friend hd the bacon and cheese starter which was in all our opinions were not nice. and overcooked. had 2 fillet steaks and Seabass for mains. all of which were lovely, however were let down by the sides mash was like had been reheated in microwave and the veg and potatoes with seabass werent nice. Didnt have any dessert, wasnt a massive selection. Servie was fine. But cant really see me going back, but ifi do I will makesure it is in main dining area and not upstairs in 'the spare room'
The Tribes Restaurant
John Glynn's Clayton Hotel, Galway City, Galway City, Galway
Was staying in the hotel this weekend. We ate in the bar on the friday where the service was fantastic, and the food was good so we really looking forward to trying the restaurant. We were sadly disappointed! when we went in we were shown to a table that felt like an ''add on'' the chairs were different to the rest of the restaurant and it was cold..not good start! the menu wasn't very big starters were bit over priced in my opinion the mains were much more reasonable. My husband odered the duck spring roll which when arrived was huge well dressed very tasty and appeared to be freshly made. I asked would it be possible to have the side of mushroom risotto for starter which was no problem. But it was awful, tastless goo, with mushrooms thrown in at end as an after thought! We both ordered the monkfish for mains. Awful!!! Over cooked and tasteless, served with baby potatoes and veg also not great. when the waitress collected plate we told her it was awful and she said oh i will tell chef. she returned and did offer to get something else but we really didnt fancy chancing it. we had enough. we ordered cheese for dessert which was lovely. As soon as our bottle of wine was gone the ice bucket and wine was taken no offer of more...although we were ready to leave! we got bill and the final insult was not alone were they charging for the2 horrible monkfish but we were overcharged 20 euro for them. at this point we were feeling like a real problem to the waitress and she done nothing to dispell this. we paid and went to leave and as we were walking to the door the waitress seen us coming turned around and burid her head in the till.we left furious hungry and over 75 euro poorer...not happy!!!!
TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I never over fond of these kind of places think over priced for what you get. There was no sign of the lunch deal today i presume because over christmas. The Sevice was ok..not great, the food was nice enough but again not great. The 5 euro cocktails were more like fruit juice, very little alcohol in them. Overall only ok and probs wont go back.
Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went with husband and 2 kids. Just had pizza each but they were fab. Also the kids menu is very good value at 8.60 but includes starter ,main, sundae and a kids cappucino (which are only hot milk but the kids love them) Lovely atmosphere and staff also will be back.
Grand Canal Hotel, Grand Canal Street, Ballsbridge, Dublin
We were staying here for our work chrismas nite. We went in time for lunch and we weren't disappointed. a Very tasty wrap and chips for 6 Euro you don't get this many places! We had our dinner later that evening which was included in a very reasonably piced package. It was 2 courses and glass of wine. Very tasty and staff were good too. all in all Really nice food at a good price.
Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
Ate here with two friends. I wouldn't be huge lover of Greek but it was ok. The service was very good very friendly. The Food in my opinion was ok. I got the Ouzo prawns which were tasty but when came out was swimming in sauce which put me off a bit. I thought the drinks were very expensive. Overall I thought the meal was very over priced for what you got (25 for Salmon!) I would only consider going back for an early bird.
The Tolka House
Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin
Ate here one evening recently and wont be back. The food was nice service was ok but just too over priced especially for pub grub. 15.95 for scampi and chips which was nice but is too expensive given that alot of restaurants around are doing early bird two or 3 course for couple euro more. Also one of my kids decided she wanted pasta with no sauce...which they done but charged 5 Euro for it Robbery...wont be back!
Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Ate here recently with my husband and two kids. We decided to go in after seeing their early bird menu. 3 courses and glass of wine or mineral for 19.95. The service was great from the minute we got in. More than welcoming and helpful towards the children. Food was nice not the best you ever had but for the price and service we will be back.
112 Upper Drumcondra Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin
Decided to go back for meal after being here in november, and once again we were not disappointed. We were a group of 8. The service was again brilliant our waitress was excellent and couldn't do enugh for us. The food was amazing and great value. All agreed will return sooner rather than later
Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin
Ate here last week with my husband. Service is good and the food was delicious( except the prawn and chilli cake starter, really not nice!) However we felt the food was just rushed out of the kitchen starter and mains served in about 40 mins. We did put this on comment card and manager did come to apologies and sent us down a drink. I also feel it is very expensive, the beers are very over priced in my opinion. Think now you can get a lot more for the same money! Lovely food but think will only back for sunday lunch or an early bird!
Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
Returned here again tonight with 2 friends. We had booked and were glad we did very busy especially for thursday evening. The staff were brilliant from the minute we came in. The atmosphere was gret and the food was too. Really enjoyed and will continue to return.
McLoughlins Restaurant @ Roganstown Hotel
Roganstown Golf & Country Club, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin
Have been here twice over last two months and have been impressed both times. Each time was in a lrg group, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Food was really lovely no complaints. Atmosphere was good too. Price seems a little steep to me but the food is really good so worth a try! The hotel are doing some great deals at minute that include dinner so well worth a look
66a Glasnevin Hill, North Dublin, Glasnevin, Dublin
Myself and husband and 2 kids went here on Saturday. It is much more of a cafe style place, but the pizza is restaurant quality. 2 pizzas, chips and garlic and cheese chips and 4 drinks 37 + tip. The pizza's were really very tasty and service was quick. Plenty more on the menu so will be back to sample it! A handy spot for quick meal..don't go expecting romantic meal!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went her recently having heard so much about it. The Burgers and chips were lovely the starters were very tasty too. Service ok had to ask a few times for a drink...but it was very busy. The price just feels a bit much for Burgers. Can't fault the food and wouldn't rule out going back..but wont be rushing. I Have heard they do an early evening special which would be a lot more appealing.
Drumcondra, Drumcondra, Dublin
Was here last year and had really awful experience so wasnt expecting much when ended up here on Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised. This time we had the carvery which was really really tasty. Will say I think 12.95 for carvery is a little steep given most places locally will do for around the 10 mark but was Lovely and we will go back.
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Firstly the only reason I choose this place is that we were looking for a Coeliac Friendly restaurant which Pacinos says it is....Its not! THis usually means Coeliac friendly pasta and more. Myself and 3 friends came in for dinner. we were greeted by a very friendly waiter and shown to our table. A very nice waitress came over with menus and we asked about being Coeliac friendly she politely told us she didn't know but would find out. She returned to tell us that they had 2 main courses that were actually coeliac friendly!! One of which she couldn't have one of the sauce. This started us off in a bad place Thankfully once we did order and got our drinks it picked up. Starters were all lovely, 2 steaks fab 1 pizza fab also and the Salmon was lovely too. Service was very good ,fast, and friendly. Lovely food wine and atmosphere would definetely return....but not looking for Coeliac Friendly food.
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
. 9 of us went her yesterdy for Mothers day. We had bookd a Tepanyaki table. We were the only people here which surprised me. The waiter didnt go out o his way to make us feel welcome, both that came to table were not very friendly but the service was efficient. The Chef was very entertaining and friendly and done a great job. The food was really lovely. We enjoyed it and will go back.
3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin
Have only eaten here during the day with our chidren but have yet to be disappointed. Pizza's and pastas are lovely and the Ice cream is amazing. Service is always good with staff quick to help, and you never feel like its a problem for the kids to be there. Reasonable prices too.
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin
Had eaten here a few times before only to be disappointed, but as it is local we decided to give it another go. We went on a thursday evening and ordered off the early bird menu. The food was lovely as was the wine. service was fine until we paid our a bill and they took the change and never brought it back. It added up to less than the tip we had ready for the girl and needless to say we didn't leave any more of a tip. But it left a bad taste! Would probably go back but only for the early bird...and it wouldn't be my first choice.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Never really a lover of this place but went on sat with a group of 9. We were eating off the Christmas menu which is 39.95. The starters were Fab think most had either chicken wings... Yum or the chinese parcels. I didn't have them but all who did said they were fab. For mains I had the salmon parcel. there was a delay in mine but the manager came straight over apologised and brought back Some wine for me while i waited so happy with this. When it came it was ok but the potato Gratin was fab. most others had steak which they were all pleased with. for dessert had the toblerone cheese cake which was really good. All in all starters and dessert were really nice mains were ok. But the service was great as was the atmosphere. thnk i might give it another chance but not for a romantic meal. suits a bigger group I think
Eddie Rockets (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin
For some reason the food in this Eddie's is just not as nice as some of the other. Have tried it on several occasions and it just match the standard of the other ones I have been in.
Pizza Hut (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown, West Dublin, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin
This place is grand for lunch as they do a buffet lunch which is good value for money. Been here a few times for this and most times the pizza and pasta is very fresh. service is only ok but it is a buffet lunch. probably wouldn't eat outside of the lunch but would go back for that.
Eddie Rockets (Santry)
The Omni Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
One of the nicest Eddie Rockets around. Great food good service and very clean
Da Neros Trattoria
Seamus Ennis Road (Above Xtra Vision) , North Dublin, Dublin 11, Finglas, Dublin
Have eaten here 2 in a goup the first was ok and said would try again but wont be again. The 2nd time we went was a sunday afternoon. the service from beginning left a lot to be desired. when we finally got menu's i was reminded that most of starters are clearly frozen. The mains got mixed reviews from our group...no one thought amazing. While food isn't very expensive we were still inclined to feel we over payed for what we got. this time we definetly wont be back!
Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went her for dinner today. There was 12 of us. We ate off the early bird menu 13.95 for 2 courses. All the food was lovely everyone very happy. The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin
Not disappointed again! Went on Sunday for dinner with the kids and four adults. We got 2 portions of wings to start ummy. then 3 pizza's and 2 massive portions chips. kids got 2 ice cream and 2 hot chocolates and pint for 82 euro. You wont feed 4 adults and 2 hungry kids as well for much less. All was lovely...I agree pizza wasn't quite as good as before bit still lovely. The staff were very nice and welcomng to the children. Lovely atmosphere too. we will be back
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin
You can't beat the value here. Great place to go with kids, they love the ice cream machine!! The starters are lovely, main course ok. Service is good and staff are polite. Great to go for big group out or with the kids but not ideal for a cosy meal for two.
Old Airport Road, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
Once again a great spot for a tasty Sunday lunch with the kids. They love it and the price very reasonable! Happy all around.
Meakstown, North Dublin, Finglas, Dublin
We are regulars here but I think yesterday was our last vivit. Have noticed the quality here going down hill in recent times, even the take away isn't enjoyable any more. went in at about half 4, no buffet as advertised but this was fine. we ordered off the early bird but it just wasn't nice. pretty tasteless and we didn't enjoy it. what annoyed me more was that when waitress cleared the plates I told her we hadn't really enjoyed it. She replied ok...and brought us ur bill! no apologies, never asked if we wuld like to talk to manager nothing. Left a very bad taste and we wont be back.
