Szechuan Garden Chinese Restaurant
100 Parnell St., Dublin, 1, City Centre North, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 13th September 2011 ( visited 09th September 2011 )Had a great meal there last Friday. Food was always lovely and I like it so much. I had a Peking duck as starter and for main I ordered a Sichuan beef which was really delicate. I have been there many times, almost one time a week. Fully recommended.
Fortuna Sichaun Cuisine restaurant
102 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 1
Reviewed 17th May 2010 ( visited 23rd April 2010 )I was recommanded my one friend said that this was a great Chinese restaurant in Dublin. So I went there with three friends. We ordered five main cources without starters because we all wanted to experience the real Chinese dishes. And we ordered a big portion of steamed rice to go with the dishes. The food was OK but not as good as that friend said. And service was just like you must ask two or three times to get a glass of water. So we felt not comfortable with that. When we got the bill finally, it seems too expensive for E7 just that portion of rice. I will choose another one when I decide to get a dinner at Parnell st. next time.

3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin
Lovely restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. There were 4 of us and they recommended starter palters to get a selection for us to try which everybody consumed with great gusto. The portions were good sizes and we got an selection of main courses and a new experience in sharing rather than the mundane “ that’s your main course”. Wish more restaurants in Ireland did the same....
Hilan Chinese & Korean Restaurant
45 Capel Street, City Centre North, Dublin
Hilan is great for a quick bite to eat or for a meal with a big group. I went here for something quick to eat after work with my friends. We hadn't booked a table but that was not a problem. We were told that we could have the table for an hour, which suited us but which might not suit everybody. The food was fine. It's simple food, nothing special. Despite only having the table for an hour we did not feel rushed by the staff.
Carnegie Court Hotel, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

The food was excellent and the service was very good.It was lovely sitting there looking out over the marina.Overall it was an enjoyable evening and i will return again soon.
Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
The food is really tasty. We loved it from the starter to the dessert. Perfect quantities, you don't feel too full after finishing your meal. Great value for the price. We just found that the service a bit slow.
Leopardstown Inn, Brewery Road, Leopardstown, Dublin
I went to Greens last Saturday with my partner. We decided to take Early Bird Specials menu for €21. It was pretty quite but I guess it was early too. Service was fantastic. Very quick and extremely friendly. An excellent meal for the price. I'd definitely go back!
La Cuvee @ Eno Wine Bar
1 Burton Hall, Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
Enjoyed a nice meal for two here at last Saterday. Tasty Fish Cake, Saffron Aioli, Mixed Leaf Salad to start and followed by the Lamb and a Chicken dish. The fries were very greasy which was a pity. Nice wine selection by the glass. Relaxed atmosphere and no hurry to leave. Will come back.
Red Bar (Pillo Hotel)
Pillo Hotel, The Rath, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath
I was here about one month ago on a Sunday. Great value menu - 2 courses for €19. Not too impressed this visit I have to say. The Marriott Soup was nice for my starter. And Rolled Escalope Of Porkwith Fine Cheese And Beef Tomato Filling, Cracked Mustard Cream for my main. Plenty of beef, but I found the sauce very bland so I asked for extra chillies but even those didn't spice it up! All in all it was a nice evening (the atmosphere there was lovely) and the service was good. I think in the future I'll just avoid their beef dishes!

Sheries Cafe Bar
3 Lower Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin
Was there at that weekend and we decided to go to eat on the Sunday night. My cousin suggested us this restaurant and it did not disappoint, we had 3 platters for starters between 5 of us which was more than enough, the food was great. And my main course was amazing, nicest I have ever had. We had few bottles of wine to go with the meal which were lovely and look forward to coming back again.

M&L Chinese Restaurant
13-14 Cathedral Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
Went here one Saturday afternoon was advised to go for he Chinese menu but could not read that one of party of five had been before so he did the ordering for us all, the first dish was a large bowl of Chinese soup this was placed in the middle of the table and ladled into smaller bowls we all had two bowls, for mains we shared four dishes between the five of us, the sweet & sour pork was super we also had a crispy chicken dish, a beef and tofu dish and a dish of steamed dumplings, we also had Chinese tea a bottle for rather sweet wine. The whole bill was about 80Euro, and I am looking forward to going again.
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I have visited Saba a few a times and always liked it, there is a great buzz and love the bar area, great place to start off the evening. When we ordered our food the started appeared in less than five minutes after ordering and mine were cold. And it was not long before the main course arrived, and I also thought the portions were smaller than usual. This left us wandering if the food was freshly prepared I am always concerned when food arrives too quickly. I don’t think I will hurry back.
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin
I have passed this place thousands of times decided to pull in one evening and let the traffic go. It is very big and lacked atmosphere, the décor was a bit glary. But it is what it is fast food done well. I had chicken wings very good and a pasta dish which was ok. and a coffee as all dishes came very quickly and the traffic was still there so I sat for a while over the coffee. It would not be my choice for a celebration or romantic evening, or even a night out but certainly can offer a quick and tasty bite.
Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
We were really looking forward to our night out in Chapter one, The ambience was great the décor is lovely the staff are very friendly and efficient, from the moment you enter the restaurant they attend to your every need. Starters were lovely. For our mains we had organic Salmon & Guinea hen with parma ham a lovely dish, the presentation of the food was excellent and the food was good. but good not Excellent. It will be a while before I go back because even with the good service and good food it is not worth the expense, It doesn’t have the wow factor maybe it was just an off night There are plenty of restaurants in the city offering good food at the same standard but they are not charging exorbitant prices.
Ripleys Steak House
Butterslip Lane (off Kieran St), Kilkenny City, Kilkenny
The menu looked promising and quite long , as there was a wide range on offer, BBQ Burger, you get two huge burgers, cheese, BBQ sauce, onion rings, chips and salad. It's quite nice too but chips were not fresh cut, I would guess they were frozen . the steaks was good. But on reflection the menu may be too varied . The one thing that would bring me back here was the DIVINE malteser bread and butter pudding, the tastiest dessert ever, and one that was almost tempting enough to order seconds!!!!
Shearwater, Pier Road, Kinsale, Cork
In Kinsale at a weeding recently . went to Vista the evening before the wedding relaxing with a few glasses of wine overlooking the water. We all opted for Pizza which was very good Service was good and we were not waiting too long even though place was full. Also ordered one calamari tapas that I think was a bit expensive .other wise an enjoyable evening.
