Fantastic night as always. We had the dining experience which was a voucher. It was delicious. The only small problem I have with the gourmet food parlour is the seating arrangements. We had a group of five sitting beside us and it was quite intrusive. We found it difficult to have a conversation as they were so loud. That of course is not the restaurants fault but a way to counteract this would be to seat larger parties at the back section together and couples at the front section together so they could at least have a conversation over dinner. This didn't spoil our evening anyway as the food and wine were lovely and we really enjoyed our evening. Will be back!

The Purty Kitchen

Went for a quick bite of food yesterday evening and love this place. Service was fast and everything was delicious. Even our four year old ate every bite of the delicious homemade burger. Will return soon

The Garden Bar & Grill
17/18 Patrick St, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

The food and service are fantastic in this place and good value for money. It is however lacking in atmosphere. I just think the restaurant space is too big with too much seating. Perhaps if they had informal space when you arrived in with couches etc for a drink and keep the back area for seating for the restaurant. Also they should promote the early bird on their website. I didnt know they had it until I got the menu. A full childrens menu would also be helpful, ie. main course and an ice cream for an inclusive price. Thought the price of the burger and chips was too expensive for a child at 10 euro when the adult burger was 13/14. All this being said I will return because the steaks are great, not sure if it will be that often though as a better value childrens menu would ensure we would go more frequently.

Bistro Le Monde
Unit 2,, Harbour Sq, Crofton Rd, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I dont know why this place is not busier. It is fantastic food, great service and cosy inside on a very cold evening. Great value for money early bird at 19.95 for two courses up to 7.30pm in the evening. I ate every single crumb on the plate. Will definitely be back again and will tell all my friends.

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Really enjoyed our meal here last night. Good value early bird. Wine a little expensive, they could do with offering a cheaper wine by the glass, however very happy with the night overall. Will return again I hope.

Cinnamon Ranelagh
87 Ranelagh, South Dublin, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Went today for breakfast and it was only ok at best. The biggest problem I had was with the service. We weren't greeted on entry and had to ask a member of staff if we could sit down and if we could have menus and also if someone could take our order. No apology for waiting just a shrug of the shoulders. There were staff present at the time by the way just not doing their job. The coffee was so weak and the food was only ok. Wont be going back.

Milano (Dun Laoghaire)
1 Harbour Square, Crofton Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

We come here regularly with our two year old son and find it generally good food, service and good value for money. I think it might be a little expensive for what it is. Our son loves it and loves watching the chefs make the pizzas. Restrooms need more attention.

Samsara - No longer serving food.
36 Dawson Street, Dawson Street, Dublin

lovely place to have informal food with a few drinks. Great service too, even though it was busy! Was very happy we booked here for our pre christmas meet up. The food menu is small but for what we required it was perfect. Will return

Harrys on the Green
2 King St South, City Centre South, Dublin

I was very disappointed with our evening out last Friday. We were booked for 6.30pm and didnt receive our starters until nearly 8pm!! and on receiving our main courses after 8.30pm they turned the music up so loud we could hardly hear each other. We didnt bother with dessert as we really didnt know how long that was going to take to arrive. Only that I was there with a group of friends and we were given a free bottle of wine for the delay I would have left. I will never return for food, they really need to sort out the kitchen as delays like this in any restaurant are completely unacceptable. Its a shame really because although the seating was great, the food was lovely, the waiting staff pleasant and the atmosphere was good all I can remember is the appalling wait for food which no amound of free drink will make up for.

Bistro Martello
1 Martello Terrace, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin

We had a lovely meal last night for my birthday. From start to finish the service, food and atmosphere was fantastic. The only tiny quibble I would have and it is very small is the lemon tart I had for dessert was not lemony enough. I like lemon tart tart! Will definitely be back

The Saddle Room @ The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne Hotel, 27 St Stephen's Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for sunday lunch for my sisters birthday and although a little more expensive than I would usually pay it was fantastic value for money for what we received. A relaxed and unrushed experience and perfect for that special treat. I would probably not go for dinner as it is quite expensive but for lunch is was bery affordable. Will definitely be back.

Chef Ville

Had a really nice meal last week with a deal voucher. The decor could be improved though but I did think the food was good value for money and the service was very friendly and efficient. Will probably return.

Village Bistro at Tonic Bar, Restaurant and Club

Seapoint Restaurant
4 The Crescent, Monkstown, Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

Went to seapoint last night for a meal with a menupages voucher. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was great. It was a busy wednesday night. Its nice to see some restaurants are surviving the recession. The only problem I had really was the service. It wasnt as attentive as I think it should have been. I noticed that some tables in the restaurant had staff buzzing around them looking after their every need and I felt we were a bit ignored. This disappointed me as it was a special occasion, my husbands birthday, and I didnt feel a valued customer. This was perhaps because we had a menupages voucher. I hope this was not the case but Im not certain. Will probably not go back even though the food was very good the service wasnt as it should have been.

Gourmet Food Parlour Dun Laoghaire
7 Cumberland Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went here last night with hubby for food and had a lovely evening. The atmosphere is perfect for a couple or a small group. It is buzzy without being too loud! Food was delicious and I would say it is good value for money rather than fantastic. In my opinion you need to order 3 tapas per person which can add up, however, I will return.

Bistro Martello
1 Martello Terrace, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin

had a menupages deal and was fantastic value for money. We went on a wednesday night, and although quiet and such a cold night the restaurant was toasty warm and we got a very friendly welcome. Food delicious and will definitely be back.

The Eagle House
18 Glasthule Road, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Had a grab one deal for two starters, mains and rice or nan with two glasses of wine for 20 euro. It was great value for money. If I see this deal again will buy for sure. Nice pub with friendly staff.

profile_review

Weafer & Cooper
71 to 73 Glasthule Road, South Co. Dublin , Glasthule, Dublin

Just popped in for breakfast and I have to say was very impressed. The scones on offer were the best i have ever tasted. Will be back. Great quality coffee also.

Alexis Bar And Grill
17 / 18 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Was here last night for dinner with 4 friends and found the food, service, atmosphere and most of all value to be exceptional. They have an early bird deal of three courses for 20 euro which in my opinion is great value for money. Although the portions are small I thought it was delicious and more than enough once you had the three courses. Will definitely be back.

profile_review

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)
14-16 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a quick lunch today with my husband and had some lovely food. The main problem I have with the restaurant is that the service is so bad and not particularly friendly. Its a shame really as to me the service is just as important as the food. The prices also seem a little on the steep side for lunch portions. I had a pasta main and a dessert but left a little hungry after spending 20 euro. Note to management - staff training in customer service is required and maybe a little bit more organisation with regards to staff covering certain tables/areas.

profile_review

Il Segreto
13a/b Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here on Saturday night with my husband for what turned out to be a very good meal with great atmosphere and surroundings. Food was delicious and the eton mess I had for dessert was just amazing. It was very busy however but I think the staff handled it very well. I would however make one small criticism, some of the staff members felt the need to rush around, nearly colliding with customers in their haste. In my experience this very rarely gets things done any faster, staff would be better off keeping a close eye on what needed to be done in an efficient but less rushed manner. Overall though it was a great experience and we will be back.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

Went here for dinner one friday night a number of weeks ago. We arrived to some nice music in the restaurant which created a really nice atmosphere. Overall it was lovely food, good service and good value for money. We will return.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Went here for a christmas lunch with work colleagues and had a fantastic meal. Very good service throughout and good value for money. The restaurant is more suitable for big parties than a cosy intimate meal for two I think but has a lovely buzzy atmosphere. I will be back.

Green Nineteen
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Was in green nineteen on Saturday eve and it was buzzing. This informal restaurant has a great atmosphere. Hubbie had burger and chips which was very substantial. I was a little disappointed with the size of my portion though. I ordered the chicken and although very tasty it was a very small portion. I ordered dessert to fill me up! Next time I think I will have to order a side portion to go with my main course. Very tasty food though and also very good prices. Will be back.

The Dining Room

Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin

We went to solas after work one evening for a drink and some food. We sat down and waited for the waitress to come over to us, we waited, and waited, while she served other customers and never came up to take our order. Several times she glanced in our direction as we tried to get her attention. We decided after waiting so long (the bar was not busy by the way!) we just got up and left. Message for management you need to train your staff as it doesnt appear they know what is the purpose of their job. It is a shame really as I have been many times to the bar, at busy times I might add, and received great service for drinks. I will not, however, return to Solas for food I will go elsewhere.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and my husband had a really nice meal here on Saturday night. We both agreed it was the best fillet steak we have had ever. A little bit expensive but for what we got I couldnt really complain. We will definitely return.

WILDE
The Westbury, Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had a fantastic meal here last night, food was delicious, and elegant. We will be back. However the price of wine, service and extras, coffees/teas etc can really drive up the price. Maybe the hotel should look at including coffee with the meals and some more reasonably priced wines to increase business. That said, it is a lovely restaurant for a romantic dinner with fantastic service.

profile_review

Uisce Restaurant
The Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, City Centre South, Dublin

The restaurant was a little quiet for a Saturday night but we still had a good meal. I had the plaice and my husband had the seabass, both delicious. One small niggle though, although the service was excellent, it was perhaps a little too attentive. No need for waiter to ask if everything was ok with our starters, main course, dessert, coffee and wine, when we received each course!! However its probably better to have very attentive service than to have none at all. Overall though good value for money and we will come here again.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Overall disappointed. Myself and my husband came here last night for a meal. We had a booked a table but they didnt seem to have our booking when we arrived. Anway we got a table but a few things were amiss. Firstly the service although very friendly was very slow. I had to ask several times for water for the table. In fairness to the staff they didnt seem to have enough waiters to cover the floor. I was also disappointed with the steak. I paid 36 euro for an 8 oz fillet and it was completely overcooked. I ate it anyway as it was delicious meat but I would have preferred to get the steak how I ordered it. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly so at least their was one happy diner. Im not sure if I would go back......

L'Ecrivain Restaurant

Just back from lunch today. What fantastic value for lunch. We all had their 25 euro lunch menu and had three courses plus tea and coffee. The service was prompt but not intrusive and very friendly and the food was delicious. I will be back.

Just had dinner in this charming little place. Very nice food although I think they could offer an early bird or value menu during the current times. Overall good value for what we had. Will bring our own bottle of wine next time.
