Visted the carvery with a friend. Great selection of food and very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We both had the roast beef with all the trimmings. Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Paid a trip to Oscar Taylors with the parents. Was reasonably busy for 7pm on a Wed. We were seated straight away.We ordered feom the early bird menu which is great value for 19.95 each and an excellent menu to choose from. Had soup starters and mushrooms and chicken wings. Had T Bone steak and chicken and ham mains. Pavalova for desert. It was pointed out if we required additional veg, etc, they were available with no extra charge which was nice and also extra tea or coffee after dessert. All round 10 out of 10 on the food and the service. The staff were very attentive to the table and anything we needed. Will be back.

Faultless experience at Scotch Bonnet last night for my mothers birthday. We opted for the Wing Wednesday special. It was not too busy when we arrived but that changed later on. And love heart sweets when paying, have not had them since I was a kid, nice touch guys. Got my loyalty card stamped too. Will DEFFO return.

Visited The Ivy Carvery for Sunday lunch. Had about 20 in our party. It was extremly busy. Had the roast beef for main course and it would melt in your mouth. The vegtable soup was lovely and the cheese cake was yummy. One suggestion I would make is that there should be a price for OAPs.

Eddie Rockets (Blackash)
Travelodge, Kinsale Roundabout, Blackash, Cork City, Cork

Compared to any of the Eddie Rockets in Dublin this one beats them hands down. Service was excellent and fast. Food was cooked to perfection but in true Eddie Rockets style the prices are high for what is fast food in reality. But thumbs up for this restaurant.

The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Overall poor. Arrived about 7pm with 2 friends for dinner. Was fairly busy but mostly with drinkers being a Friday evening. We ordered quickly but it took ages for the food to arrive and the sides were forgotten on the order. One roast beef and 2 chicken and ham dinners. Portion sizes were good and food was nice. Overpriced considering its a pub and not a restaurant. They should have an early bird menu. And the management should take note of the negative reviews here.

On a recent shopping trip, paid a visit to Pizza Hut for the buffet type lunch. We were seated quickly even though it was busy. Price wise it was well worth it.

profile_review

Yo Thai (Swords)
Brackenstown Shopping CentreSwords, Swords, Dublin

This restaurant is a gem. Went here on Sunday evening for a friend’s birthday. The atmosphere is super for what is just a local restaurant in a housing estate. The staff were very nice and friendly. But the one outstanding feature, which we had not booked, was an area of the restaurant where your food is cooked in front of you. It’s almost like a show performed by the chef. Teppan cooking I think it was called. We will be back for seconds.
