My fiance and I went here for the first time last Sunday evening. We were in town and had heard about this restaurant on a recommendation from some friends. We were seated at the door when we entered but asked to be moved to a table down the back of the restaurant as it was very cold and this was not a problem. Glad we moved as there was a much better atmosphere further down the restaurant and it was warm. The food was very well priced, and serving size was ample, the taste of food was also exceptional; in particular the seafood paella and the prawns pil pil. Most noted however was the friendly service, the not too imposing staff, our waitress was very helpful and accommodating. We will be back.

I went there with my fiance and some of his work colleagues for the first time. We were really looking forward to it as we had heard great reports about the food however; our expectations were not fully met. It is like they are trying too hard, too many things going on particularly with the main courses. However, our starters were all fine. Service was good if a little slow with the drinks but the restaurant was full. The wine list is good with a good range by the bottle. Overall we were a little bit disappointed hence the 3 star rating.

Had a voucher - Left waiting 1.5 hours for the starters then when I complained I was told ' you are on a voucher' 2 hours for main course - They were grossly understaffed and the restaurant was full - My first visit and I was not impressed

Il Posto
10 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here the other night and thought it was fantastic! There is a great atmosphere in this restaurant, the staff are really nice and friendly and the food is really good! They also give you a little taster from the chef before the starters arrive which is a very nice touch. I had the rocket salad to start which was very tasty. My friends had the meatballs/calamari and the goats cheese and pepper tart which they all loved, for mains I had the salmon and my friends had the fillet steak which was in a herb pastry with spinach and mozzarella, the cod and the goats cheese and pepper tart! We loved them all, really big portions, so great value too! For dessert they have homemade icecreams and sorbets in lots of different flavours and they are to die for! There is a great wine selection too and all the Italian greats were there. Really loved this restaurant and will definitely be back very soon. 10 out of 10!

Bon Appetit
9 James Terrace, Malahide, Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We ate in Cafe Bon the Bistro of the fine dining restaurant and thought it was a little disappointing as this was our first visit under the new ownership and with their recent Michelin star achievement our expectations were greater. The pate and fish cake starters were good but the pecorin salad starter was below average in presentation and taste. The main courses; 2 rib eye steaks, 1 duck and 1 cod were good but as per a previous reviewer the rib eye steak had a strange flavour. However, the service was faultless. Would be hesitant to return to the bistro but would like to try the fine dining experience when our pockets can afford it.
