Had a great meal - here with a large group of guys - often not the easiest to satisfy, but everyone was very impressed with the food. The starters were fantastic, some of the best i've tasted in Ireland. The pastas were probably the best i've tasted outside italy. Service was friendly, if a little slow at times, but this was probably teething problems in the first few weeks. Overall, thought it was great, good value and a restaurant i'd recommend to others.

Great Pub food, good selection, differs from the usual fare of sandwiches and sausages. I especially like the focus on local produce. Excellent value.

Trattoria Magnetti
12 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Enjoyed our meal here. Tasted the home-made pastas - excellent. Had the pizza with mascarpone and prosciutto - excellent - and not generic. The classic margarita or ham and mushroom are also available, and I had the latter which was very good. The evening we were there we had the fish - again very good. The tiramisu could have had a little more coffee/marsala, but the coffees were perfect. Not so sure about the decor, but the atmosphere was friendly and busy.
