Had a beautiful meal here on a Thursday night which was included in our two night package in the Lyrath Hotel. The food was fantastic. It was one of the best Thai meals I have ever had. Staff were really friendly and efficient even though it did take a while to get the bill but I think they were just letting us relax after the meal.

I had a meal here with some friends on a Saturday night and it was not a experience I would like to repeat. The restaurant decor was lovely. Very high ceilings and comfortable tables and chairs. Menu was a basic bar food menu we had thought that there was an a la carte menu but it wasn't offered to us. I didn't have a starter but other members of our party did. They thought the starters were ok. Our main courses arrived and I asked the waiter cut I have some sweet chili sauce and he asked me to 'wait a minute do not confuse me'. I never got the sauce because he never came back to our table. I ordered Chicken goujons and chips. The goujons were like chicken nuggets that were jelly like in the middle so I didn't eat them. You would get nicer chips in a fast food restaurant. We didn't order dessert. When the bill arrived they had taken the chicken goujons off the bill but they didn't tot our bill. We had to add it up ourselves. I certainly will not be returning.

The Marble City Tearooms @ Langtons House Hotel
68 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I love this place. I have been a couple of times and each time exceeds the last. There breakfast is superb and their homemade desserts are to die for! Great value as well. Its should be called the Magic Tea Rooms because even though it is always jammed packed just people are coming in here always seems to be people leaving. Some of the staff are really friendly others are not so friendly.

Stone Haven Restaurant
Mill Street, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

Had a beautiful meal here on a Sunday evening. I had passed the restaurant a couple of times but thought it looked stuffy and cramped but I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was beautiful exposed stone work, fire place, candles etc. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Every course of the meal lovely. Also thought it was great value. Three course meal for two including a glass of wine and 10% tip was €90.
