Bought a voucher of menu pages and booked a table for sat 14th. Silly me hadn\'t read the small print, the voucher was valid from Feb 1st, but the guys in the restaurant said they would honour the voucher for the night we went. Such an amazing place, great food and wonderful staff. Top notch!

Place has gotten bigger, but still the same in terms of food quality. This visit justified why I keep going back.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Used the voucher for the €29.95 lunch deal for 2 people. Amazing value and great food. Top marks Roly's.

Jerusalem Restaurant
77 Camden Street Lwr., Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
Found the food very dry. Thought there would be more sauces. The waitress was great craic, but it was busy we had to wait a long time. She could do with some help.

Great food.just unfortunate there was a crowd of noisy people that night. Not the restaurants fault; but did spoil it for the other diners.

Bettle leaves starter is amazing. Will go back just that.

The Winding Stair Restaurant
40 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin
I was there with some old work colleagues. We have talked about this place for so long and I finally remembered to book at table well in advance as this place books out quickly. Well, what a great menu - big on fish, which i like. The chowder was stunning - I highly recommend. I thought the wine was a bit pricey, but apart from that what a great night out.

Hugo's
6 Merrion Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I've been here before and enjoyed it immensely. However, the atmosphere and service were great, but the the food this time wasn't the best. I had the king prawn main meal, which was pretty bland to say the least. My partner had the pork, which wasn't presented well, but the flavours were OK. It hasn't put me off, I'm just a little dissapointed.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I had a table booked, but i still had to wait, which wasn't great. We were taken downstairs, which is pretty grim to say the least. Who wants to eat in a dungeon. I had the chicken wings to start, whcih were very dry - hardly any sauce and i had to ask for more dip. I had the bacon & cheese burger for main. The burger was not home made, i think it was from a pack of frozen burgers. I did like my chips though - very tasty indeed. The waiters were good craic and very attentive - that's the only reason i left a tip.

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I'd heard people rave about this place to i had to try it. The reception when you walk into the place is deadly. Mine host is brilliant - a rather imposing character, but adds to the feel of the palce wonderfully. The service was excellent, very attentive, but not overbearing. I had the crab cakes to start, which were lovely, but my mates had the chowder and they were dissappointed. I went for the steak for main, well you had to, it's an Argentinean steak house. It was just OK - a little too fatty for me. The wine was delicious and the bill blew us away - such amazing value. I think i was just unlucky with the steak, so i will give this place another go.

IFI Cafe Bar
6 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin
The service was kinda good - the guy serving us was really friendly, but we realised when the food was served that he didn't take our order correctly. As we were in a hurry, we didn't send it back, but i wasn't happy with my food at all. All I ordered was chips with cheese and onion. They brought me cheese and bacon, and everything was greasy, even the cheese. I couldn't finish them they were so bad. Sorry lads, I won;t be back in a hurry. It's a very noisy place and everytime someone open the door to the main corridor all the menu's went flying, which happened about 10 times while we were there.

Eden
Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin
I love this place. We went for the pre-threatre menu, which is amazing value for money at €29 for 3 courses. The choice on the menu is fantastic, the food wonderful and the staff top notch. Full marks Eden, I'll definitely be back in a hurry.

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
My friend who booked this place was raving about it for ages, based on the comments from here. The reception when i arrived was great, a real selling factor for this place is the staff, they are great. Unfortunately, the food I ordered did not match the quality of the service. I ordered the fillet steak for main, which was pityfully small for the price, then i realised my friend who ordered the same got a decent sized portion. I pointed this out and they brought out what looked like the scrag end of some cut they had left over that was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. I must say my mates really enjoyed their food and the experience, but I'm afraid anyone who serves food in that state will not get me to return. :-( Sorry Alfies!!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin
Tried this place at the weekend and loved it - I had the mexican burger - talk about loads of toppings. There was way too much food for me, but thankfully my partner had no problem polishing off the leftovers. I wasn't so taken by the chips - they were a bit bland, but the burger made up for that. I will definitely be returning.

I had dinner here last Thursday with some old work collegues. I had the betel leaves to start with trout. They were lovely. i would highly recommend. I had the ginger beef for main, which I asked to be spiced up. They did indeed spice it up and agin,it was loevly. The wine, company a servcie made it avery enjoyable evening. And to top it all, the bill was only €40 per person. What a place. I'll definitely be back.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
A very nice experience indeed. The food was excellent and the portions are very generous (except for the bread, I don't think they know how to slice a loaf - very stingy slices!!!) The service was excellent and the venue was nice, although the restaurant in a bad area of Aungier Street and is surrounded by some very dodgy characters indeed, but that's no fault of the restaurant - talk about stepping out into reality after the meal. Saying that, I will definetly go back and I'm already recommending the place to my mates. Well done Darwin! I'd love to know why it's called Darwin.

Thai Spice
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin
What a little gem. It's a small enough place and pretty basic inside, but the food well and truely makes up for the setting and it's so cheap. It's turned into a weekly treat to have lunch there. Also, everything I've tried off the menu to date has been spot on. Well done Thai Spice!!!

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I love this place - it's so cool and intimate. The food is amazing, so many fanastic dishes to choose from. We actually went for one of the set menus as it seemed like really good value, which it was. The wine was tip top, the service was great, very friendly and professional staff. Would like to go back with a larger group and get the top floor to ourselves. It looks like great craic up there. Top marks to the Chameleon!!!

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
People have been raving to me about this place for ages - mainly girls I might add. The food was exellent, the staff are great - very helpful and cheerful. I wasn't so impressed by the interior - it's looking dated and tatty - the place needs a refurb!!! Overall, a good spot to eat and i'd have no problem going back.

Mongolian Barbeque
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
4 of us went here for something quick and easy, and that it was. The concept is great, you go up and fill your bowl with your desired meat, vegetables, sauces and spices and then the man behind the counter cooks it all up on a huge grill. They have recipe ideas for the faint hearted or you can go mix yourself what ever you like. The only warning is to our vegetarian friends out there. As it's one large hot plate with around 5 or 6 dishes being cooked at once, and the man cooking is using the same paddles for all the meals, you might end up with a stray piece of meat in your meal. BTW - you can go up as much as you like - I've never seen value like this in Dublin before.

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin
My friends raved about this place, it's the next big thing in Rathmines they said, so we couldn't wait to try it out. All I can see is that it was alright, nothing more. The surroundings are pretty funky, I'm not so keen on the benched tables layout - God knows who'll you end up sitting next to. The prices were OK, except the only coke they had was organic and they wanted something like €6 a can. The food was good, i liked the oversized burgers and the red onions relish was great.

Lagoona Bar & Restaurant
Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
It´s a grand spot for what it is. Great carvery, huge servings and nice surroundings. It´s becoming a regular for a big tasty feed on a Friday lunch.

Indian Ocean Dublin
15 Montague Street, City Centre South, Dublin
All I can do is add to the praise of all the other reviewers. This place is a God send. It's hard enough to find decent Indian restaurants over here, but to find one of this standard is brilliant. We were a party of 3, we all tried something different and we all loved the food. The biggest surprise was the bill at the end - such good value. Well done Indian Ocean - I'll be back and I've already recommended you to friends.

Nonna Valentina
1-2 Portobello Road, Portobello, Dublin
What a great surprise. I had heard of another fancy restaurant in Portobello, but this place is right up there with it, in every way. It was very nice and you knew exactly what you were getting. Fancy food with no fancy names, just well presented on the menu and the plate. They didn't have the wine I wanted, which always bugs me because there wasn't that many on the menu. I don't understand why they can't keep their cellar stocked.

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
A favourite of mine. It's a great place to celebrate any occasion. It has a great atmosphere and the food is great. Brilliant value for money and the cocktails rock. I recommend the burger; the caramelised onions that come with it are delicious.

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin
Again, I think I agree with most people that the food is great, the restaurant is very stylish, but does that really justify the price. Me and my friend had the open sausage sandwich, which was absolutely wonderful, but for €15 a pop for a sausage sandwich it should be! Saying that, I would like to go back in the evening - I'm sure I won't be disappointed with the food!!

South William
52 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin
I had lunch here the other Sunday, not one of the rainy ones! I'd been told about the pies, so me and my mates all ordered different ones. I went for the bacon and cabbage and I must say it was delicious!! My 2 mates had mixed remarks on theirs, not bad so much as indifferent!! I loved the place and plan to help other mates discover the place!! Top notch!!

Stir Restaurant & Bar
Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
I didn't know Kudos is a hotel chain restaurant, but regardless of that I would have to say the food is pretty good. The hot and sour soup starter is delicious, however I was in the mood for a hot curry and I have to say I was very disappointed with the "best ever curry" as they call it. It shows as 3 peppers on the menu, I would rate it as 1 pepper. Very good value though, it worked out €40 each including tip for starter, main course and a bottle of wine. Not the wine we wanted as a lot of the selections on the menu were out of stock - that was annoying. To sum up: good food and good value, but don't go there for the surroundings.

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Chicken wings - yes, they are renowned for them and I have to admit - they are great. As for the rest of the menu, the salads are great, but I couldn't rave about the burgers - I find them dry. I would however recommend the Steak Ipanema with fried banana - to die for!!! This is only available on the brunch menu at the weekend. BTW, huge portions and they do give doggy bags!
Monsoon (Rathmines)
306-308 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin
We called into the all you can eat buffet they have on Sundays. What amazing value. The food is lovely and there's a great selection of dishes. Brilliant!!!!

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
I've just started working on Dawson St and I'd been looking for somewhere to meet mates for lunch. Someone suggested Cafe en Seine, it would never have even entered my head. I' not a big fan of the place for evenings out, but for lunch it rocks. A great choice of hot food, salads and sandwiches. It's lovely during the day and is really good value for money.

Eddie Rockets (Rathmines)
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin
The place to go when you're looking for comfort food. The burgers are great, but my favourite is the Nachos Grande with chili. Hugely calorific, but hey - sometimes it has to be done. The waiting staff are so nice, really attentive and smiles all round. Well done Eddie!!

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin
I was there with a mate one Friday afternoon around 4pm. We were the only 2 in the restaurant. I had to get up to find someone to take our order; he took the order without writing it down. My starter turned up, but my mates didn't. The starter was bland, it was meant to be chilli, but there was no bite to it at all. The mains were again bland and I had ordered a beef burrito and had received a chicken burrito, half full. Not a good experience - is there a decent Mexican in town?
