My girlfriend and I visit this place nearly every week, usually midweek, yes its quiet during the week but we enjoy that because we can have a chat and relax, the food is excellent, we usually order the Chicken Tikka starter and the Tandoori Seekh Kebab to start and I usually order Lamb Madras/Vindaloo and my girlfriend orders the Chicken Amwala both with Pilau Rice. The food is excellent and always fresh, piping hot, very tasty, well cooked and the service is quick. The free poppadoms are a nice touch as is the free Baileys at the end, great wine list, friendly and courteous staff who dont annoy you during your meal and seem like they are actually there to help, superb food and ridiculously good value when compared with other restaurants. Would recommend this place to anyone, its been there as long as I can remember and could probably do with a lick of paint on the inside but who cares when the food is this good...?India Gate restaurant
