I visited the Golden Palace on a Friday evening and it was hectic. You really need to book a table. Saying that the service, once you are seated is very good. The food is fabulous and excellent value for money. I will definitely return to this restaurant. It is more of a casual dining experience i.e. good for a girls night out or evening meal with the family rather than a romantic meal for 2.

The Orchid Chinese Restaurant
12 New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Had a lovely meal here on Sunday of the Bank Holiday. Restaurant was very busy, great atmosphere. Food was fab. We were a group of 6 and we had a taste of everything from prawns to beef to chicken to duck and I can recommend it all. No complaints at all. Service was excellent and even though it was very busy, the staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem. Well worth a visit but I would be sure to book at table.

Andersons Creperie
1A Carlingford Road, Drumcondra, Drumcondra, Dublin

We visited Andersons on a Sunday afternoon. The food here is always fab. I had a selection of mini toasties with tuna and cheese on one, goats cheese and carmelised onions on another and ham and plum chutney on the third. I would thoroughly recommend this. It was delicious. My Mum had the croque monsieur which is always fab. Our problem was we were greedy and I had a pancake and Mum had pavlova. I would suggest either having a main course or a sweet pancake. Both courses is a little much as the portions are very generous. This creperie is well worth a visit. In all the times I have eaten here, I have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely and nothing is a bother to them. Try it.

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Just had a lovely meal here with a group of friends. Everything we had was beautifuly presented and tasted fab, from the hake tagine to the chicken couscous to the lamb dishes. I can recommend them all. Staff are very friendly and are only too happy to help or explain any of the dishes. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

The Huntsman Inn (Gormanstown)
Gormanstown, Stamullin, Meath

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here recently. I have been here on several occasions and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. The food is top notch and what I love is the variety on the menu. You can have a carvery style dinner of turkey and ham or roast beef or you can pick off the other menu which includes fajitas and burgers. The staff are always very pleasant and do their best to get you whatever you want. A lovely relaxing place to have Sunday lunch. I would recommend it.

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

I visited the Pink Elephant on a Friday night with a group of 8 people. The food is very good, particularly the chicken satay and the crispy roast duck, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and the staff, cannot do enough for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and I will definitely be returning

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I love Rolys. We have been here on several occasions, both for lunch and for dinner. The food is excellent, though on this occasion I was very disappointed with my dessert, a knickerbocker glory. The cream tasted overwhipped and the jelly was hard. But my starter of pate and my main course, steak were fabulous. I could not fault them. I think that perhaps the knickerbocker glory would not be a popular choice for dessert, considering the other options on offer,( which were all fabulous, according to the rest of my party), and perhaps that is why there wasn't much care taken with it. It definitely would not put me off going again but perhaps next time I will go for a more luxurious dessert.

OKA Restaurant
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

I visited this restaurant on a Sat night and it was half empty. I now know why. The food is nice enough and it was good value, a set 3 courses for €24.00. The problem is with the staff. They give the impression that we were an inconvenience. They were not a bit friendly or helpful and did not enter into any kind of a conversation with us at all. My friends and I actually felt quite uncomfortable and could not wait to leave.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

I visited Mastersons on a very busy Friday night with 4 other friends. The atmosphere was buzzing, as it has been on the few other occasions I have been here. It is a very busy restaurant. The food was gorgeous, we had a variety of starters and mains and everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially to one of our party who is coeliac and gluten intolerant. I have been here a few times and I must admit I have never been disappointed. Well worth a visit, but do book first.

Cinnamon Garden Restaurant
Main Street, Ashbourne, Above Molly's Pub, Ashbourne, Meath

This was my third visit to this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. The food is excellent, the service is top notch and the value for money, excellent. We had a menupages voucher and we were never made to feel any different to any other customer. I will definitely be returning and I would recommend Cinnamon Garden to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

I visited here on a Saturday lunchtime for a family birthday. There were 12 of us. The restaurant was quite busy. The food here is excellent, well presented and varied. Our waitress was very helpful and could not do enough for us. However, the service was very slow. There was a very long wait from the time we ordered until our starters arrived and an even longer wait until our main course arrived. I would visit this restaurant again but to anybody going for the first time, be aware that the service is not great.
