I went here last night for dinner after a long time of not having been here and I was pleased to find that the standards still seem very high. Both the lunch menu and early menu are excellent, probably some of the best in Dublin. Unlike many other early birds, the menu is extensive and there is definitely something for everyone. The portion sizes are generous and the food is really tasty. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Went here for dinner and was nicely impressed. The food was very tasty and there was a great selection. The beer list is limited but the beer I did have was really nice. I had the fajitas for mains and they were really tasty with a nice spicy kick off them, would definitely opt for these again. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy as there was a group of 40 in the restaurant. Unfortunately, this mean that restaurant was really noisy and the atmosphere was somewhat disrupted although I would return to this restaurant again.

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for a midweek dinner and was extrememly disappointed at the standard of food. I ordered the super food salad, it was bland, not a super food in sight and extremely overpriced. This was essentially a large plate of lettuce, a few pieces of chicken and not much more. Disappointing to see such a poor standard on the healthy option. Certainly would not recommend this.

The Pigeon House - Clontarf
11b Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin

Went here for brunch and Sunday and was impressed by the menu, lots of interesting and well thought out choices. I went for the falafel and bulgar wheat which was really tasty. The service was a bit slow to begin with but then improved and the waitress was extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend this for a nice bite to eat

The Barge
Charlemont Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This has to be one of the worst meals I have ever paid for. We opted for the sharing platter which is pretty hard to get wrong and it was barely edible, food was burnt, dry and dripping in grease. Everything was brown. It was clear that no effort had been made and it was thrown together. As a group of four, nobody was impressed with their choices. We most certainly will not be returning, hard to see how this place does a trade in a city full of great places to eat. \n

Bay Restaurant

This is a really great restaurant, huge range of options and good healthy choices too. The location is really good and the staff were really helpful. I will definitely return here soon!

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

Really enjoyed my latest visit to the Easter Seaboard. The food is always top quality and the service was excellent. Only problem is that this restaurant can be very noisy and it can be difficult to hear others in your group. Other than that, always a pleasure to visit.

Zakura Noodle & Sushi
13 Wexford St, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

This restuarant is one of the best in Dublin and I wish I had discovered it earlier. The food is delicious, portions are generous and excellent value and the staff could not be more attentive. I will definitely be making a return to this restaurant.

San Lorenzos
South Great Georges Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I was very eager to try San Lorenzos as I had heard excellent reports about this place although I found I was slightly underwhelmed by the whole experience. Although it was a Friday night, there was little atmosphere in the restaurant and felt a bit like a canteen, this could well have been because we were seated right at the entrance. I ordered the duck which I was very excited about, the presentation was excellent and the spinach and beans that accompanied the dish were really tasty. Unfortunately, the sauce that covered the whole dish was extremely salty (so much so, I got that tingling feeling in my lips that occurs when you eat too much popcorn) so this put a dampner on the whole thing for me. We did try the renowned cheesecake which deserves the excellent reviews it has received although all in all, the experience was a little disappointing.

Love this place! Great food and a lovely atmosphere! Service is really good too and the byob option really makes it a great spot to go for dinner! Would highly recommend!

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Came here for dinner on Sunday, there was no atmosphere as the restaurant was pretty empty but that was to be expected in the afternoon. The food was very tasty but was disappointed to see that there was four breakfast choices on the menu, meaning there wasn't a great selection of dinner options. The dessert menu was good although they did not have one of the options which was disappointing as it would be the most obvious choice. Overall, high quality food but a better selection would improve this restaurant immensely.

The Gin Palace
Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Came here for some food on Sunday and was really disappointed. I had high expectations for the food as it is usually really good, the soup was not warm enough, the Cajun chicken baguette was dry and poorly presented. A friend ordered fish and chips which was a piece of frozen fish and pretty tasteless. Most certainly not worth the money we paid for it. This is a pity as its a nice pub, good Guinness and friendly staff but the quality of the food is very poor, would not be eating here again.

The Gin Palace
Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Came here today on a voucher and it was really enjoyable. The Gin Palace is a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere. The staff are really attentive and the food is extremely tasty. It's the perfect pub to relax in the middle of the city and to enjoy some nice food and a lovely pint of Guinness. I would definitely come here again, with or without a voucher. Highly recommended.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with a group from work as part of the Dine in Dublin week and was really impressed. The food was really tasty and to the high standard that I had expected. The restaurant was busy and there was a good atmosphere for a Friday night. In general the service was good but the waitress did not seem happy to be serving a large group and we had to wait a while at the beginning to place a drinks order. When we asked to order wine, we were told that the food order would be taken first and then we could place a drinks order which seemed a little out of the ordinary. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would love to go back here.

Citron @ Fitzwilliam Hotel
The Fitzwilliam Hotel, St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here as part of the dine in Dublin week and overall was happy with my meal. The service was excellent although I feel the menu was lacking compared to the last time I was here. I went for risotto to start which was amazing and for mains I had the beef cheek which was melt in the mouth but unfortunately the mash was almost cold and this really took from the dish. The restaurant was lacking any kind of atmosphere and as we were sitting at the edge of the balcony it was actually quite cold when the main door of the hotel opened. Overall I was slightly disappointed and feel that standards may have dropped a little bit in the last year.

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for a friend's birthday and was really impressed. The restaurant were really accommodating as we were running late and even though it was a busy Saturday night they looked after us as soon as we arrived. The menu is really extensive with something for all tastes. We all went for pizzas and they were delicious! The service and value is excellent and I would really recommend this place. I'll be back!

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Came here with a voucher and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and there was a great selection considering it was a special offer. The restaurant lacked atmosphere slightly but I imagine that was because it was straight after work on a Friday evening. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others especially if going on a deal as it appears to be a little expensive otherwise.

Deep
12 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Popped in here for lunch on Sunday with no reservation and were looked after promptly. We were pleasantly surprised with this place as we had no expectations but were in the mood for some seafood. My friend and I shared a seafood platter that was really tasty and the portion size was great, with plenty of food for two. The service was really good and the staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning here to try more of the seafood on offer as the selection was great.

Pasta Fresca
2-4 Chatham Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for dinner with a friend and was quite disappointed. The food was just average and the service was shocking. I had to ask the waiter more than four times for a glass of water which didn't arrive until I was drinking my coffee after dinner. We shared a starter which was tasty but way overpriced and I had a pizza for mains which was fine but nothing to get too excited about. I would not recommend this restaurant as there are many much better ones around Dublin.

profile_review

La Gondola
51 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I came here a few weeks ago with some friends as a friend had recommended the €10.95 deal which included a starter and main course, unfortunately, the cost had risen by €2 in a week and it now cost €12.95. We couldn't believe it when we went here on Sunday and the price had risen yet again to €13.95 and the options had been changed. Definitely not worth it. The restaurant is uncomfortable and lacks any kind of atmosphere. The service is shocking, our mains arrived before the plates from our starters had been removed. The staff are quite frankly rude and I will not be returning here again, if it wasn't for the location of this restaurant, it most certainly would have closed down by now!

Blue Cafe Bar
Harbour Road Skerries, Skerries, Dublin

I have visited here a few time in recent weeks and cannot fault this restaurant. This menu has a huge selection with something for everyone and the food is delicious. The chicken wings are to die for as well as the seafood on offer. On a fine evening you can sit out and look onto the harbour while enjoying a glass a wine and the atmosphere is fantastic. The service is top quality and it really a great place to go an relax with friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Skerries as it is definitely the best in town.

Stoop Your Head
Harbour Road, Skerries, Skerries, Dublin

I have to admit that I really do love the food in this restaurant. The standard is consistently high and I've never been disappointed. Last night I opted for the early bird menu which was good value. I had the paté which was fantastic as always and the cajun chicken linguine which was also very tasty. The service was good considering how busy the place was but dwindled slightly as the evening went on and we were waiting quite a long time before we could get someones attention to request the bill. Overall, this is a great spot in a great location.

D'Vine Wine Bar
16 Bachelor’s Walk, City Centre North, Dublin

I have been here a few times and it never disappoints. The location is excellent and the atmosphere is really lovely and cosy. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and of excellent quality and there is also a great selection of wines to choose from. This place is a great find and I would recommend everyone to try it out.

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch and was not sure what to expect. The food was tasty although I most certainly would not consider it a tapas bar. The staff were friendly although the interior of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The toilets are most certainly not of an acceptable standard for a restaurant and this really turned me off. Overall, It was fine for a quick lunch but I would not be going out of my way to return as I feel that are much better restaurants in the local area.

BamBoo Tapas and Grill
38 - 40 Parliament Street, City Centre South, Co Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I cannot fault this restaurant, was pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of the food and service. The decor of the restaurant is very pleasant and we felt under no pressure to leave. The food was top quality with a great selection and the service was excellent. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I will definitely be returning soon.

Taste Food Company
South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here for sunday morning brunch and was not disappointed, there was a great choice on the menu with something for all tastes, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was really good, the waitor was attentive and really friendly. I also found that this was really good value compared to other places around town that serve brunch and loved the way tea and coffee was included in the price. Will definitely be returning here!

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

We decided to have a family gathering here last week. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with a really modern underground feel to it and the service is topclass. The waitors were so attentive and efficient they could not be faulted. We opted for the D'hote menu which I felt lacked imagination and the selection wasn't great. This menu is very good value for a Saturday night but I felt the menu let itself down a bit as I (who would not be a fussy eater) felt there was not much choice. I opted for a goats cheese starter which was literally two slices of goats cheese served with a fruity relish, nothing that you couldn't prepare at home and for main course I had the veggie burger as this was the only option that took my fancy at all. There are definitely many positives to this restuarant but I don't know if I would bother leaving the city centre to go to this restaurant as the menu was quite basic. The wine list is excellent though which is a pity as the food was a let down.

Pandinis
Unit 3, Newlands Cross Retail Centre, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Went here last night with some friends for dinner and was not impressed whatsoever with the standard of this restaurant. The waitress was impatient and rather abrupt and the atmosphere was almost none existent. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone but the food is not worth the prices being charged. A friend and I shared a portion of chicken wings for starters which was 4 chicken wings for a whopping €8.90! Everyone order different main courses, mainly pizza or pasta and all had the same thing to say, good sized portions but bland and tasteless. It's not often that I wouldn't be happy in an Italian restaurant but Pandinis failed to impress with overpriced average food and an uncomfortable atmosphere. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend!!

Ukiyo
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. I've been here a few times and each time the food and service have been excellent!! I normally opt for the bento box and the selection is always great and tasty, made with really fresh ingredients and cooking to perfection. The staff are all really friendly and efficient and its never a problem to come in for lunch, not have to wait to long and still be served really good quality food. Definitly worth a try!!!

Citron @ Fitzwilliam Hotel
The Fitzwilliam Hotel, St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A group of us went here as part of the Dine in Dublin week and it blew our minds!! The food, presentation and service were outstanding. I have never seen such attention paid to detail and the food was perfection. As we were a large group, it was great to try each others food and every single dish was fantastic. The service was also excellent and the waitress explained every dish to us, we will definitely be returning here again!

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Although I am far from a vegetarian I visited this restaurant last Friday night with two friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere in the restuarant itself as I had heard it was more a cafe style layout. The waitress was very friendly and offered to reserve a table for us while we went up and got our food. I chose a hummous palte with pitta and pasta salad and I really enjoyed it. The portion was really generous and cost less that ten euro including a drink which was excellent as I was very satified after it. As it was a Friday afternoon the restaurant was very busy but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere as there was a harpist playing in the corner. I really enjoyed my meal here and will definitly return as it is an excellent healthy alternative!

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Three of us went here for a meal after work and were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the waiter was very patient and helpful. We shared a starter and each had a pizza for main course. There was an excellent choice on the menu and the pizza's were huge and delicious. Afterwards we shared a dessert and had some gorgeous coffee. Although it was a Monday evening there was a great atmosphere in the place and we felt under no pressure during our visit. The food here is also excellent value considering the large portions and high quality. I will definitly return to this restaurant again!

ZAO Thai Restaurant
96B Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords road , North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

I went her here for a bite to eat before the cinema last weekend and was really dissapointed. The restaurant was really empty and there was little or atmosphere. We didn't have time to eat from the early bird menu so chose from the main menu which was very expensive considering the food is the exact same as you would order from the take out menu only on plates. One our food arrived, we found it hard to get the waitress' attention for drinks even though the place was empty. Although the food was really tasty I did not think that it was worth the price as our bill came to over forty euro for two starters and two half portions of curry. I don't think I would be rushing back here!!

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here last night for a birthday dinner with a friend. We sat at a table in the bar area because we had left it too late to book a table but it was fine! The atmosphere was still quite good but I'd say its even better in the actual restuarant area. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and there is also a great wine list. I had the pattaya noodles with duck and they were delicious! This restaurant certainly deserves all the credit that they get! I will definitly be coming back!!

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We came here for an early bird dinner on Saturday and I had high expectations for this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and lively and the staff were lovely although I felt that the quality of the food was lacking, I had a the quesadilla for starter and I was a bit dissapointed as the filling seemed to just be guacamole and half a cherry tomato. For mains I opted for the chicken salad which was awfully dissapointing. There was little or no dressing and the salad consisted of mainly lettuce leaves and chicken, There was very few other ingredients and I felt hard done by eating chicken and a bowl of leaves although the food that my friends ordered looked good. I dont think that I wold bother coming to this restaurant again as it is a bit overrated and not very ood value for money.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We went here with some friends and hadn't booked so we were lucky to get a table as it was a very busy Saturday night. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious although I felt it was quite expensive compared to the last time I was there, Maybe the prices have gone up a bit. The service was excellent and i have to say that I would definitly come here again although maybe just on a special occasion as its a bit pricey for thos of us on a budget.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for Saturday lunch with some friends and I can safely say that this is one of the if not the best tapas restuarant in Dublin. After living in Spain for a year I'm hard to plaese on the tapas front but this place is unreal. There is an excellent range of tapas, a great selection of wines and the desserts are pretty impressive too! The cosy atmosphere is great and you couldn't fault the service. Will definitly be returning to this place.

This is one of the best restaurants in Dublin! The food is delicious, portion size is perfect, service is excellent, there is a lovely atmosphere and the value is excellent! I went here for lunch on Friday afternoon, it was such a nice lunch and we even stayed chatting for a long time after we finished and felt under no pressure to leave as is often the case in other restaurants. It was such a good experience that I had lunch there again on Saturday with some other friends and will definitly be going back very soon!

Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I came to this restaurant a few weeks ago with two friends for lunch. The restaurant was empty except for two other girls who left shortly after we arrived. The waitress was very attentive and was very eager to take our order although the fact that the chefs were standing around chatting didnt inspire much confidence. We were looking to eat something light as it was lunch time but there was very little choice. All that seemed to be on offer was burgers and pizzas, not a great choice for those watching their waistline!! There was no atmosphere at all and we had no desire to stay around chatting afterwards.
