I went here with a friend and we both loved it! We bought a voucher online for 2 courses and a glass of wine for €30 I think. Excellent value and the food was perfect.

Always great food and great service. I love their pepper sauce! Defiantly the nicest place to eat in Oldcastle.

Copan
304 Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin

I went here with a friend and we both really enjoyed our meals. I had the fillet steak, it was beautiful! We had a voucher for a two course meal for €22 so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was really nice. The A La Carte menu isn't badly priced either. I would ask to be seated in the front of the restaurant, the back is very dark and it would feel like eating in a nightclub (which is is!) Major plus is the two cocktails for €6, on Thursdays and Fridays.

The Signal Restaurant at The Station House Hotel
Main Street, Near Navan, Near Trim, Kilmessan, Meath

I went here on Saturday for a party but I’m not sure I’d return. Its very cramped and they have too many tables in the space. The food and staff were good but the slow service was appalling! We waited an hour and a quarter to be served our starters, while I don’t like to be rushed this was a bit excessive I thought. It was busy but not that busy! I had the fillet steak, half of it was nice the other half was very chewy and tough. A few others got the fillet steak and said it was great, I think it was just a bad cut. Which is disappointing as it is fairly expensive! The garlic potato was amazing though. Everyone enjoyed the meal it's just a pity it took so long!!

Chinese Gourmet

Get take aways from here every so often. Its pretty good. Although the last time I got a beef dish it was very tough which was disappointing

55 Degrees North
1 Causeway St.,, Portrush, Antrim

We went here on our holidays and really enjoyed our meal. We waited 45minutes for a table which suited us perfectly because we were going to go for a drink before dinner anyway. The set course meal starting from £10 is great value, going up to €14.95 if you order steak. Fantastic location right on the sea front, we didn't get a sea view but had a nice view of a park. The place was packed which can only be a good sign! Would defiantly recommend.

China Tower (Ballybofey)
Main Street, Ballybofey, Donegal

We got a take away from here. It was good value for money and tasty. They even gave us paper plates because they knew we were staying in a local hotel. I had beef in black bean sauce, which was very nice. The beef was soft and tasty, not chewy at all, as you can sometimes find in Chinese restaurants with beef dishes.

Villa Rose Hotel

Great staff, really friendly and good food. We both got the burger which was very tasty. I liked that you had a few choices for sides, a bit different to always getting chips!

La Dolce Vita - The Chase
Carmanhall Road, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

I went here with work and loved it! The staff are friendly and accommodating. The one problem is that I wanted everything on the menu! Great sized portions and at a very good price. Also been in for post work drinks which are always good to!

Bar 52
52 Middle Abbey Street,, City Centre North, Dublin

I guess you get what you pay for! We had a voucher, but if I had paid full price I would have been even more unimpressed! Even though I made a point in asking what way the chef leans when cooking his steak it still came out extremely well done, when ordered medium (if I have never been somewhere before I usually ask for med/rare which I told the waiter). I would have pointed this out if the waitress instead of just picking up empty plates, (even when other people are still eating) had asked or even made eye contact. The waiter was nice enough just a pity he disappeared after we ordered. The chips were freezing, so we complained about this, the same chips were clearly thrown back in the fryer for a few mins, as the 'second' batch was burnt. Decided to get desert, don't ask me why! Anyway the cheesecake was bland and soft. The chocolate brownie was like a rock, didn't any of it. All served with plastic spoons!! I did like the book shelves along the wall and some trad music was starting up which seems lively. The big TV with a gorey horror film on in the restaurant I wasn't so gone on!

The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin

If you want a bad meal in a dark cave this is the place for you! I went here with my boyfriend and his family and we were not very impressed. I got the chicken, it was so dry I couldn't eat it. The veg was under cooked, and looked like it had been sitting under lights for hours. The only thing that did look nice was the pizza. They could seriously do with investing in some light bulbs! I understand its a pub but for a place that does a Sunday dinner they really need to have better lighting. The staff at least were friendly.

Eddie Rockets (Rathmines)
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

The staff need to learn how to smile! To say I felt unwelcome is an understatement. The waitress wasn't helpful at all. The food was ok, a little cold and greasy. I don't think I'd be rushing back

Rody Bolands
12-14 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Loved it! We got the €30 three course for two deal and it was amazing value. The starters were beautiful and just enough to whet the appetite. I had the steak which has a €5 supplement, but still great value. But by the end of the main of the main course I physically couldn’t eat anymore and neither could my boyfriend so we didn’t get the dessert. And they very kindly waved the steak supplement. I think the next time I will save some room though because the cheesecake sounds delicious! We will definitely be going back again, best pub food in Rathmines!

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The stone steak was beautiful! I wasn't mad on the mushroom starter and I love mushrooms! Its missing a lot of paint, like they started painting then stopped. Also a lot of the light fittings aren't in the ceiling, just hanging from the wires. If you get a voucher though it is defiantly worth it for the stone steak. Just maybe not a date!

Eastern Tandoori (Cavan)
Main Street, Virginia, Cavan

We got a take away here on Friday. Really good food. I don't know if I would fancy eating in the restaurant though. It looks very dated, and they don't serve alcohol. The menu on this website needs to be updated to, the take away menu is much bigger. All the vegi dishes can be ordered as a half which is nice for a side. Would def go back though

The Rathmines Inn
82 Lower Rathmines Rd, Rathmines, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

Really enjoyed it. I got the steak sandwich which was cooked perfectly, I just found the garlic mayo on the bread to be very strong, so I would recommend asking for it on the side. Other then that nice pub food, not a huge menu but it would have something for everyone.

Riordans Food House
7 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Went here on a trip to Galway. The garlic bread was lovely wasn't gone on the main. Didn't really like the seating either some tables were like being in an old house which was nice but we were on a corner table at the wall. Also they were out of loads of options because they ran out of supplies over Christmas. I might go back for lunch though if I were there again. Wine was pricy to

Camile Thai Rathmines
133 Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

I enjoyed it. Nice cosy atmosphere to relax and chat with friend. Stayed in there nearly two hours chatting! You get complimentary prawn crackers when you arrive but because we took so long to order they gave us another portion. I ordered duck pancake starter as a main but they didn't havei it which was disappointing but other then that a great meal
