Carlo's Restaurant

Food very good - as usual..! - I'd lunch with someone I hadn't seen for years - at no stage did we feel pressurised by staff even though we were there for hours - we'll be back..! -

While I had been at carlo's several times, my companion had never been there. She was very impressed with her steak - perfectly cooked to her preference and the sauce chunky chips were great. She was stunned at the price..!

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I was here with my sister a few months ago - we both enjoyed it so much that we have chosen it as "our" place to meet and catch up on family news. It's well worth paying the extra for the excellent steaks, cooked perfecfectly to our separate preferances - a very enjoyable evening..!..

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We had an excellent dinner last night in Le Bon Crubeen. As starters we shared the Salt cod and the Crab brulee - they were very good, intense flavour. We both had the steak which was cooked perfectly to our separate preferences - and very tender, melt in mouth. Saute potatoes had a bit of crunch and were the best I've had in ages. An Italian red wine was very good with the steaks. One of us had the tangy lime pudding, the other the cheese board with unusual very tasty crackers. An enjoyable evening with excellent food.

Little Jerusalem - Rathmines
3 Wynnefield Road, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

We chose a selection to share between us - all dishes were super - only problem was that we ate too much..! - initially very little atmosphere because no one there - but it soon filled up - a very good sign, especially on such a miserable night..! - hope to go again very soon - yummy..!

The Larder Restaurant
8 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My sister and I recently had a very tasty two course lunch. My starter was perfect for such a wet and windy day, a sort of mini chicken stew. We both had the King Prawn tagliatelli - delicious. We also indulged in a perfcetly acceptable glass of house white wine. My sister then had the raspberry cheesecake which she declared to be absolutely yummy. A good cup of coffee brought a very satisfactory lunch to an end.

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Food was delicious - only slight negative was the squid ( it was a mixed grilled fish deal with pudding and wine) - I'd prefer it sliced and dusted with seasoned flour e.g. chili/ paprika rather than plain... Staff pleasant and co-operative e.g. I'm not keen on ice cream so was given cream with the lovely crumble...

Dobbins Restaurant
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

It was a lovely experience - only reason for downgrading service was the constant refilling of our water glasses: some of our conversation was v private so the interruptions were a problem. Re value, for the same price there was an offer of two courses and a bottle of wine which would have have been ample for us. Food excellent and beautifully presented.

Carlo's Restaurant

Yet again a very enjoyable experience - met my favourite niece for dinner on Menupages coupon (and we ordered a bottle of wine.!). She was very impressed with the standard of the cooking (and the presentation). We both loved our choices - chicken wings/ deep fried Brie, followed by pork belly/ chicken dish - my niece loved her chicken dish - she's another convert to eating in Carlo's.!

Da Mario
Maynooth Road, Celbridge, Kildare

I have a coeliac friend which is why i bought this deal (we live in Dublin) - BUT she had an accident and could not use the coupon. I persuaded another friend to travel - and we were delighted - the food was excellent. we were given a pre starter which was absolutely yummy. The courses that followed were equally delicious. We both loved the atmosphere - it felt authentic Italian - and the staff were superb. Despite the distance, we'll be back...!

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I met my sister for lunch (not long since my previous visit) - I told her about the yummy mushroom starter so we both had it and were not disappointed. The day was a bit chilly so I chose the Irish Stew - another successful dish for this gem of a restaurant. She had the Strogonoff which she enjoyed...

Started with the mushrooms - yummy! Then I had the Strogonoff, well presented and very tasty. My Goddaughter had the Roast Beef which she enjoyed. The only glitch was that I was delayed so I texted her my choice of food to place the order - she was on her lunch break and time was tight - however they would not take the order until I arrived - puzzling - but I wll go back again...

il Divo Restaurant
2 Terenure Road East, (Above Comans), Rathgar, Dublin

Return visit with same friend - we really enjoyed our night - delighted to see that the restaurant was so poular - at one stage there was a queue! We has a bottle of wine which was recommended by the staff - it pleased both of us and was a little cheaper than the one we were about to order. When buying the coupon I forget my friend is not keen on pasta/ pizza - we asked and she was allowed to choose from the menu - much appreciated!

il Divo Restaurant
2 Terenure Road East, (Above Comans), Rathgar, Dublin

We are already planning a return dinner in this restaurant. Every course was perfectly presented and tasty. We shared a starter - calamari, yummy. I had the special which was a monkfish pasta dish; my friend had a fish dish which combined unusual ingredients to very good effect - both main courses were excellent. We shared a Tarte tatin - lovely. A bottle of wine during our dinner and coffes at the end were good - and we then were offered a liqueur on the house. Re atmosphere, we had an early booking so there were very few diners though it got busier before we left.

Bar 52
52 Middle Abbey Street,, City Centre North, Dublin

We were on the deal that was steak for two with bottle of wine. Both the steaks were perfectly cooked. I love pepper sauce and it was the best pepper sauce I've had in ages - really tangy, it's often limp, lacking punch. House wine was a choice of white or red - I prefer red esp with steak but it was Syrah grape which makes me head achy so we had the white which was fine. I did ask was there an alternative red but no. Very few people there when we arrived at 5.15 but it filled up nicely. I enjoyed it so I've bought another coupon for the same place...!

Had a lovely lunch with my God daughter who is expecting her 2nd child - ideal city centre location for us to meet and catch up on news - waitress friendly and helpful, food appetizing - and I'd a glass of highly acceptable house wine - all for an amazingly low price...........! yozongmwarm and pregnant

Lan Tania
Main St (Beside The Roost), Maynooth, Kildare

Staff attentive and friendly. As we had an early booking, we were the only diners until we were nearly finished. Starters tasy, we both had Chichen Cashew nuts which was yummy, followed by Chocolate Brownies, a little dy but the ice cream with it meant it was fine. The wine we chose was unavailable but a (French) alternative at same price was highly acceptable.

Carlo's Restaurant

My third visit - enjoyed the experience yet again. While initially I was concerned re location, once inside all was well. Surroundings not elegant but the quality of the food, service etc more than compensated.

Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin

I have been to Seagrass 3 or 4 times and enjoyed it v much every time - my latest vist was straight after work so there was less of a buzz (i.e. less atmosphere, less other diners) than on previous visits cos we were so early.
