If you want to experience top quality food at a very resonable price try Mitchells lunch time specials. The lunchtime menu is some what limited however what is on offer is cooked to perfection. I had Cod Scampi and my wife tried the fish and chips and we were not dissapointed as they were both very fresh. We asked if we could have hand made chips as it was apparent frozen were used at lunchtime, we were obliged with out any fuss and it was definately worth asking for. A good choice of wines were available which compimented the meal followed by a good selection of sweets which were very tempting and well worth the money. The experience has tempted us to try the evening menu within the next week as this was one of the best restaurants we have tried in England and Ireland so far. The staff know how to treat the customer properly and my only complaint is the Restaurant is closed for the winter.

Marconi Restaurant
Foyles Restaurant, Clifden, Galway

I tried this restaurant for a family birthday and was not disappointed. Menu was very inviting with lots of choice and my starter of stuffed mushrooms was to die for. Everybody's meal was cooked to perfection and made the birthday celebration memorable. It was no surprise to us that the place was packed so make a booking to avoid disappointment. We shall return without having to wait for a birthday as it was so good. Excellent value for money as there is good competition in Clifden.

Off The Square Restaurant
Main Street, Clifden, Galway

Avoid this restaurant if you dislike rude and ignorant staff! Sour faced giving the impression she did not want to be there with no eye contact when talking to the mature dark haired waitress. I have never given a bad review but this restaurant deserves it as we were made to feel uncomfortable with our guest when having breakfast. This was a second visit after a similar but not quite as bad first visit. The food was excellent and very good value which is obviously why the restaurant is popular but no one should be treated so poorly when paying good money. If the owner sorted the problem it would get 5 stars but do they care?
