Went here for the 6th time and got the bang bang chicken. It was lovely and had a nice spicy taste to it. I have always had good experiences in Mao in DL and am surprised by some of the reviews here. I like that you can see them prepare the food. For started we had chicken wings whihc were good but it really the curries that I come for. Fantastic, Only strange thing was there was a 5 % service charge on our bill which I have not seen for 3 people. I didn't mind as I was tipping anyway.Dada Restaurant

ordered spicy potatoes. got wedges from the supermarket freezer. At 4.95 that is not on. Wine was nice. Ordered meatballs - only got 3 with not a lot of sauce. would have preferred more meatballs and sauce for the price. they were tasty though. Dont think I will be going back.
Fallon and Byrne

I had the rib-eye it was fantastic. Really happy that somewhere in Dublin is offering a quality steak for all the steak lovers out there. It ws my birthday and they made the desert very special. The crab tortelini starter was not great. My partner got the pork for main and salmon for starter which she loved.

Dax Cafe Bar

really lovely tapas. Went with a deal and had 4 tapas and house wine. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is also very lively. top marks. The Pate is wonderful and we are still talking about the pork belly. Will be back.

Oliviers at the Schoolhouse
2-8 Northumberland Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin
The food is really lovely. I had the steak which was fantastic. GF had lobster & pasta. Again very good. Wine is a little pricey as is the menu. Will do the pre theatre next time. Waiting staff were very nice but the restaurant is lacking in athmosphere when it is not full. It was a third full on the saturday evening we were there. Food great, work on the prices and get more customers in.

Setting is lovely, staff are excellant, a real treat. Had the pre-theatre meal. Ordered the scallops in truffel sauce for starter. It was really amazing. One of the best starters I have had. Partner had quail which she loved. When my main lamb arrived I was dissapointed with the serving size. 3 small pieces of lamb was pretty much the extent of the main. It tasted great but I wish it was a bigger portion. Partners cod was also on the small side. After the starters we were really looking forward to the mains so the small portions were a dissapointment as a visit here is not cheap. However the quality was very high. Deserts were surprisingly large and exceptional. I ate a lot of the lovely bread which was offered at each course and Im glad I did as otherwise I would have left hungry. Keep up the great cooking but please increase the main portion size or I will not be returning for a treat unfortunatley.

Fisherman's Bar & Fisherman's Restaurant

Ordered the steak. I have had it a few times here and it is always very good. It is a large steak and worth the money. also had the dessert for the first time an was also lovely. The Guinness is excellent too. I have also had the fish pie which is very good. A real find..

La Paloma
17B Asdills Row, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went here with a deal. The olives provided were not very nice. I would not go back for the food and feel that the place does not put any great effort to making propoer spanish food. We ordered the tapas and none of it was great and some we did not eat. Possibly the worst meal I have ever had in Dublin.

Used to live up the road and always loved the pizza and greek salad. This place use very good indegredients, cheese, salami, etc and you can taste it. It is usually busy and has a good athmosphere. Will definitely go back.
