Shimla is one of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin. The food is superb, staff are attentive but not overpowering and it offers excellent value for money all in a cosy and romantic atmosphere. I count myself lucky to have such a gem right on my doorstep! I have dined there either in large groups of people or with just two and have always had a very enjoyable experience.

Kitty Hawks Bar & Bistro
Carlton Airport Hotel, Old Airport Road, Cloughran, Cloghran, Dublin

Ate here last Friday evening with a gang from work. The food was scrumptious...we were given two options - beef or salmon and both looked great. I had the salmon and it didn't disappoint. Desert was also delicious - a selection of bite sized cakes.

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Great for casual dining. Myself and my friends came here at the weekend to kick off our Christmas night out. The pizzas were delicious. I had the American Hot with jalapenos and it was on fire! Just the way I like it. The service was great and overall it was excellent value.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here last night with a large group of people, 15 of us in all. We had a great night! I went for the garlic mushrooms to start, the steak for main course and cheesecake. It was the nicest pepper sauce I've ever had! I'm not usually a fan of cheeseake but this was delicious. The whole group was delighted with our choice of venue and everyone enjoyed their food. The set menu for €40 is excellent value. This is a new fav for me!

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

There's nothing better than a kebab after a night out and the kebabs from Zatoon have to be the best in Dublin.

Went here a while ago with a few drinks for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. The tapas were delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable.

Pizza Hut (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown, West Dublin, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Great place to go before or after the cinema. It's always packed which is a good sign. I've been here for lunch a few times and the all you can eat is great value.

I come here regularly for dinner and have always enjoyed it. The atmosphere is relaxed and the bar is great for after dinner drinks.

Samsara - No longer serving food.

I love this place. Great for food and after dinner cocktails. You can also stay there until late...gets very busy at the weekend.

Cafe en Seine

I had lunch here a few times and always found it to be very tasty. It's a great place to go to start off a night with a bite to eat and a few drinks.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here about 6 months ago. The food was nice but the portions are quite small compared to other Indian restaurants and the decor is a bit dated.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been here several times in a large group and we've always had a great night. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. I hope to go back soon!.

Douglas and Kaldi Restaurant
1 Ashtown Square, Rathborne Village, Ashtown, Dublin

I often eat here for lunch as I work near-by. It's great for something different. They do a wide selection of bagels and the chips are absolutely gorgeous! They are the nicest chips I've ever tasted. It's good value too if you sit outside you'll have a nice view of the canal.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I recently went here with a group of girls for my friends’ birthday. As soon as we sat down at our table we were told we only had two hours to eat. This was not communicated to us when making the booking so we weren't impressed! After telling us that we only had two hours to eat, we were left waiting to order for 20 mins. On the up-side, when the food arrived, the portions where huge and the meals were very tasty. I couldn't eat my main course as my starter was so big. You could nearly get one between two people especially with the chicken wings. It took 5 of us to finish them!! It's a great place to go for a birthday as it has that party atmosphere and even though the service was slow, the staff are very friendly. I would definitely go back.

The Carpenter

Great Sunday carvery! The food is delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. It can tend to get crowded with kids though!!!

Myos Bar
Main Street, Castleknock, Castleknock, Dublin

Up until about 18 months ago a group of us went for lunch in Myos almost every day. The food is delicious but with the change of ownership the prices increased and the portions decreased. It’s no longer our favorite place to lunch but we still come here now and then as the food is good and the staff are friendly.

Halfway House (Navan Road)
Ashtown, Navan Road, Dublin 7, Navan Road, Dublin

I have had lunch here many times and it can be very hit and miss. Depending on who is serving you, the portions can vary greatly. The last time I went out for lunch here last week I had a chicken, ham and mushroom pie which was delicious. As far as carvery food goes, it’s one of the best in the area. The prices are also reasonable. Great for lunch time but wouldn’t be rushing to go there for an evening meal.

The Phoenix Court Restaurant
Blackhorse Avenue (Over Cummiskey's), North Dublin, Dublin 7, Navan Road, Dublin

Excellent restaurant!! I went here with a group of 10 people for a birthday party. We were very well looked after by the waiter who was good humored and attentive. The food was delicious! Because there were 10 of us we tried each others dishes and everything was fab. At the end of the night we were offered a complimentary round of drinks which we thought was very generous. I can’t wait to go back!

Tsangs Restaurant
U1 1st Floor, Littleplace Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Clonee, Dublin

Delicious Chinese food! I have been here several times and also use the take away quite frequently. It has to be the best Chinese food in Dublin 15 and the prices are very reasonable.

Thai Garden Restaurant
Church Avenue, Blanchardstown Village, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I’ve been here twice and really enjoyed my meal both times. The food was delicious, staff friendly and prices are very reasonable. I had the raid thai curry both times and asked for it hot, which it was!

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I ate here with two friends a couple of weeks ago. They seem to have changed the menu and it looks like there is less choice offered than the previous menu. I wasn’t impressed. Nothing really appealed to me so I went for a burger. The food itself was good, although the service was very slow. We had to ask for drinks refills three times before we got them and we were waiting 15 mins for a glass of water! Overall it’s pretty average.
