Had a very yummy Sunday lunch with my family here a couple of months ago. 3 courses for €30- was quite good really as the food was fantastic restaurant quality and not just your usual sunday lunch carvery type food. Had the taster platter to start which was a lovely set up to my main of chicken which was cooked to perfection. Had a lovely chocolateWould definately return!

Would get take away from here quite often and love it. They're always happy to cater to my random requests ( no cheese etc.) and have never had a bad pizza from this place! They fuller cater for gluten free food in both pizzas and pasta which can be very hard to find. Great value for money aswell - take away is offered at a 20% discount and theres also a student discount and a free pizza with 2 main courses, so all in all can be a great value family meal. If you go here make sure you get some garlic pizza bread - its to die for! PS: Its sister restaurant La Palma also catered for my friends gluten free requests with ease!

Gourmet Burger Bistro
8 Bridge Street, Cork City, Cork

There has been an increase recently in the number of places that specialise in burgers most of which have a very high standard - this restaurant included. The atmosphere was really nice here, no screaming children or loud groups. Even though the space itself is relatively small the tables were not on top of each other which is always a plus. Service was quite good, jug of water was refilled without having to ask, etc. all the little things that can make a big difference to the dining experience. The menu was large and varied - Although, me being awkard as usually had to make a special request. I got the italien ( basil and pine nut pesto, parma ham and mozzarella) but I swapped the cheese for the Brie from the French Connection. One of the nicest burgers I've ever had! My only complaint, would be that the portion of chips served with the burgers are very very small. They're amazing and I had them eaten too fast - so if your going in hungry possibly order a side order of the onion rings (yum!) for the table which is what we did. Didnt have any dessert as the taste from dinner was so nice I didnt want to get rid of it, so cant report on them.

Amicus
Paul Street, Cork City, Cork

Whilst the food here is good - not amazing or anything - the service and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. Amicus would want to step up their game a bit as there is so many other restaurants of a similar level in Cork. I've heard good things about the Douglas branch though, so am tempted to try that.

Eddie Rockets (Liffey Valley)
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Delighted to see the menu has had a real change and the prices are after coming down. Its now much more in line with similar restuarants price wise and theres plenty of meal deals etc. A burger, fries and a regular drink was €10.50 the other night, so not bad really!

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

Have eaten here about 5 times since it has opened and only once was I left a little disappointed, and that wasnt anything to do with the food, it was just busy and service lacked a little. I really liked the menu options and loved the turkey burger - they can be really hard to get outside of america. Staff were very helpful and friendly though, the one day the service wasnt great was a saturday when they were really busy. They brought our sides about 15 mins before out burgers and we'd them all eaten by the time the burgers arrived - our waitress did however offer us more sides free of charge which we gladly accepted. The fries and onion strings - (yum!!) are a bit greasy, but you dont really expect much else when you go to a burger place do you?! Fairly well priced aswell.

McAlpins Suir Inn Restaurant
Cheekpoint, Waterford City, Waterford

Have been visiting this restaurant for years and simply cannot find fault! The fresh seafood is amazing with my favourites being the crab claws and seafood pie. The menu is small and I always know what Im going to have before I go there, but it never disappoints. The menu has expanded over the years and now caters more for children/ non seafood lovers and has also introduced an early bird menu in recent years which is great value. Its a cosy restaurtant and as such the tables are small and close together, but dont let that stop you trying this place, the food is worth it!

La Palma Ristorante Italiano
Parnell st, Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford

Have eaten here as part of a large group and in a smaller group aswell and have never been disappointed. Food is a bit pricey but definately worth it! Only downside is its a little dark and from the outside I can never seem to tell if its open or not as its so dark. Would defiantely recommend to a friend - especially the prawn starter and anything from the cocktails menu!

Kudos Bar @ The Clarion
Lapps Quay, Cork City, Cork

Was staying in the Clarion Hotel for work and ate in this restuarant. Food was nice, nothing amazing. Atmosphere was nice though, didnt feel awkward dining alone which is sometimes a problem in restuarants.Nice food, good service and not too expensive.

Limeleaf Restaurant
Henrietta Street, The Quays, Waterford City, Waterford

Have had take away from here many times over the years, but since it changed name the standard of food has slightly decreased and the service has hit rock bottom. Prices havent really reflected the current climate and continues to be very expensive. Overall the food is of good quality and I do enjoy it, but the service is just not good enough. Countless times the order has been wrong or items completely left out. On my most recent visit the person serving kept making references to my card not working when I went to pay (which was not the case) and when I eventiually convinced him it was the machine at fault I was left waiting 20 mins holding my food whilst waiting to pay. Food was freezing my the time I got out and not so much as a apology for the inconvienece let alone a free bag of prawn crackers. Dont think I'd be returning in the near future as there are many alternatives in Waterford.
