We had such a good night here! We were seated at the counter & as this was a traditional Japanese place, we got to see our food cooked before us. The chefs’ skills were great to watch & if that wasn't entertaining enough, two of the staff members perform a range of different songs on acoustic guitar as the food is prepared. The food was incredibly good too! The staff gave us complimentary soup when we arrived & even the starter portions were very generous, (chicken satay with 4 skewers). The mains were really tasty as well ( prawn tempura & duck teppanyaki) & after all of the media furore regarding the food industry, its refreshing & reassuring to see your meal prepared in front of your eyes. Their reasonable prices, tasty food & friendly staff will definitely bring us back here again!

La Bodega Tapas y Vinos
93 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6 , Ranelagh, Dublin

The decor was really authentic in here but there was no atmosphere or ambience when we went for dinner. The staff were attentive & although the food was traditonal and tasty, the portions were small & the dishes were priced quite highly individually.

The Rathmines Inn
82 Lower Rathmines Rd, Rathmines, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

To say this is a gastro pub is blatant false advertising. The food cant even be described as tasty pub grub. Service was non existant also despite it being a quiet sunday & we had to chase the staff to even take our orders from us.

DO NOT GO HERE! We have never been treated as badly in a restaurant as we were in this place. We had booked for a birthday party but when we arrived there was a dispute about the use of vouchers, despite all of this being confirmed by phone earlier in the week. The 'manager', acutally shouted quite loudly at us, a table full of girls. The entire restuarant was staring as us, so humiliating! Huge lack of customer care & that man especcially should not work with the public. The food was below average & overpriced too. There are so many more friendly, reasonably priced places in town so there's no need to waste your hard earned money in a place that thinks it is accetpable for staff members to shout at paying customers. I cannot stress enough how upset the entire party was after this incident, it really put a black mark on the night.

Tamara Restaurant
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

Very poor experience. We bought a €35 voucher but on arrival were given a menu with only 5 options on it, despite the voucher being advertsied as having full selection of menu. Nothing on this restricted menu was particularly appealing. Our starters were weak, the fish cakes were like rubber & my shredded chicken was chewy & had clearly been cooked hours before. The mains again were below average, i've had better food from a take away. This was our second time visiting & i can't help but feel we were treated badly as we had a voucher as we had no complaints on our first visit. Defiinately will not be going back again. Also, staff were brisk & unfriendly!
