I visited here on Sunday for the first time with two companions. The location and the decor are really great but the food was very dissapointing. We ordered 1 starter of garlic mushrooms and we each ordered the Dublin Bay garlic prawns which, the menu promised, would be served with salad and brown bread. When they arrived they were served with fries! The prawns were big but overcooked so a bit chewy. The best bit was the garlic butter but we had nothing to soak it up!! We had 4 diet cokes and 1 tea. The bill with service charge was €84 - in my view very overpriced!!!

Govindas Restaurant (Abbey Street)
83 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Had lunch here yesterday and i have to say i wont be back in a hurry. Atmostphere is tired. Food is very boring, you get to point at dishes under a heat lamp, all very starch heavy and tasteless. Not good value at €8.50 for a medium plate.

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I eat here about once a week. I love the decor, the service and most importantly the food. For €9.99 you can order a bento vegetarian or lunch box. Great value and the food is always of great qualtity. The a la carte is great too. all food is cooked fresh to order and you never have to wait too long. Love this place

The Parnell Heritage Pub and Grill
72-74 Parnell Street, O'Connell St, Dublin

I work closeby so was looking forward to trying out the Parnell, went with 2 colleagues. Great welcome and the decor is really nice. We were told the special was beef and guinness pie with mash and veg, 2 of us ordered this. when it arrived it came accompanied with wedges and some lettuce leaves! My other guest ordered roast veg on artsian bread with mixed olives, humus and various dips, what came was oily veg on a slice of bread! we pointed this out and they offered to change, i asked for the mash and veg and they changed it no problem. they brought guest no.3 an eggcup size portion of chopped black olives and a bowl of chickpeas! i couldnt believe it. In fairness they only charged for 2 meals but if i had invested big monies in this place, i'd have a strong word with the chef, first of all read the menu!

Reflection - Café Brasserie @ Dunnes Henry Street
Henry Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here for breakfast with a friend. Love the decor, staff are very friendly but the ordering process is over complicated. i had the big breakfast and when it arrived was really good, my friend had the poached eggs with mushrooms on the side and said it was lovely. My main gripe is the lenght of time it takes to get your order, its way too long, i usually go for lunch but i find it too slow. i wud here more if they can sort this out

The Celt
81-82 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here for after work drink and food with work colleague. I had the steak, an absolute steal at €12.50. It arrived accompanied with mash, fries, carrots, turnip, gravy n onions. It all tasted georgous and such good value. My colleague had the smoked haddock chowder (€6.95). She almost ate the bowl. Great food, excellent value, will definately be back

Flanagan’s Restaurant
61 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Ive eaten here a few times and the food has been ok but on my latest visit i was very dissapointed. I ordered the bacon and cabbage and parsley sauce. I can honestly say that the food had absolutely no flavour whatsoever! It was a strange experience eating food that you cant taste, as a result i left 80%. The only good thing i can say is that the accompanying potatoes were fine. i cant see myself going back, definately would no recommend

The Rowan Tree Restaurant @Ashdown Park Hotel
The Coach Road, Gorey, Gorey, Wexford

Stayed here for one night. Looked forward to a nice evening meal. I had prawn cocktail to start. these were the tiniest enemic shrimp i have ever seen, the sauce had no flavour, a really bad start. I ordered beef bourgiugnon which again was extremely bland. this was accommpanied by the worse veg i have ever been served - overcooked baton carrots and potatoes and red cabbage swimming in butter. The ceiling started to leak right beisde our table, when we pointed this out one of the staff, she laughed and said are ye having a shower girls!!!! Definately wont be back,

Wallace's Torino
9 Grattan Crescent, Dublin 8 , Inchicore, Dublin

I dined here with my friend at about 3.30pm on a fri afternoon, the place was practically empty. We gave our order, crustini to start to share and my friend just wanted bruchetta for mains, i ordered penne boulanaise, we also ordered a diet 7 up and a tea. the starter arrived with my friends main! the crustini was superb! there seemed to be a change of staff then n we were completely ignored, no beverages arrived n when finally got the attention of the waitress to remind her the tea arrived with no milk, i asked the guy at the counter for milk and he gave me the bill! the boulanaise was awful, dried pasta and a truly awful sauce, ive eaten here before n it was much better then this, ill will go back n i hope this was just a one off bad day

The Black Lion
207A Emmet Road Inchicore, Inchicore, Dublin

I ordered the T-bone steak, the menu says it comes with fried mushrooms and onions but these never arrived! the champ was cold, the steak itself had the distinct flavour of fish! (unwashed pan?) i had to smother it in pepper sauce, not a great dining experience and it was also very pricey. one good point though, the staff are very friendly
