Can't say enough good things about this place. Went to the rooftop for a summer dinner last week & as usual is was fantastic. I had the tofu which was a little on the bland side but in terms of service, value & overall experience D'vine is one of the best places to eat in Drogheda & has been consistently top notch over the years.

Aside from the service which is sometimes very poor the Seaboard is one of the best places to eat in Drogheda. Their vegetarian options are extensive and their moroccan hotpot is one of the nicest meals you will ever eat! They always have a varied selection of specials and if you are into healthy eating this is the perfect place to go. Their Sunday brunch menu is so good and their tomato baked eggs & parmesan biscuit are delicious. For the quality of the food the price is very good.

Bow Lane
17 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, Dublin South, Dublin

One of the most disappointing eating experiences I have had recently. Ordered the fried chicken 'birdwich', which was very basic and underwhelming not to mention the fact that for some reason it came without any of the trimmings mentioned in the menu, no jalepeno slaw or swiss cheese? Very overpriced for what it was and overall wouldn't leave me with a sense of wanting to return.

Bistro BT
Seaview Terrace, Bettystown, Meath

A perfect little spot for some breakfast after a walk on the beach. The service can be a little hap-hazzard when they are under pressure but overall this place is a great spot for some poached eggs or a nice fry. The free refills are also a nice touch and the menu overall is quite reasonable. Excellent place if you want to want your dogs on the beach and then sit outside while you re-fuel.

What a gem of an eatery! Huge selection of tapas and such value. The churros are exceptional! The salted chilli almonds are devine. Their seabass on lentils was delicious, their gambas pil pil are yummy and its the perfect spot for a glass of Sangri in the city centre. Always a great buzz and such good value for money!

The Woollen Mills
42 Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

One of my favourite spots on a fine summers day. The rooftop is the ideal place for a sunny day in the city. The menu here is suitable for all tastes and the value for money on the quality of the meals is excellent. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the whole atmosphere is buzzy and enjoyable. Their soups are always just a little bit different too.Highly recommend a trip here

Restaurant @ Conyngham Arms Hotel
Main St, Slane, Co. Meath, Slane, Meath

I would highly recommend this venue for a nice leisurely lunch. I had the deep fried brie which was delicious and my friend had the crab which was also lovely. There is a great buzzy atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

Scholars Townhouse Hotel & Restaurant
King Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Drogheda, Louth

I was a little disappointed on my last trip here for dinner. We ate in the bar and I ordered a prawn and smoked salmon salad that was advertised as having a chilli creme fraiche and chardonnay foam. When the plate arrived with smoked salmon of a rocket salad I was so hungry I tucked in straight away but when I asked the waiter were there components missing he said the chef was sorry and coffees would be on the house. The main of chicken caeser salad was nice but nothing to write home about. The staff here are always absolutely brilliant and the venue is stunning but the food lacks a bit of attention to detail.

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Went here for lunch and sat outside one of the sunnier days of this year and it was lovely. The waiters were all very attentive and polite. The menu is so extensive and lots of choice. The price was a little steep for a margarita pizza but it was very nice and I would definitely be returning.

Boteco Brazil
6 Ormond Quay Upper, Dublin 7 , City Centre North, Dublin

Had very high hope for this place but I was bitterly disappointed. The guided door of the restaurant by the waitress was a good start and the waiter was lovely but it was downhill from here. After waiting over an hour for our food we decided to leave and when we asked for our food to go it was another 15 minutes of waiting. Despite giving us our food for free it was not enough to make up for a abysmal dining experience. Obviously there was some sort of issue with our order but instead of explaining it properly we were left waiting with the continued promise that our food was on the way. If the food had been amazing when we eventually got it I would have maybe put it down to an off day but this was fairly unforgivable.

I love this place. Such a little gem and fabulous view of the beach. Fantastically varied menu, I would highly recommend the garlic mushrooms or the haloumi stack. Was here for lunch last week and its always good value for money. Friendly staff and really nice decor.

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here last thursday after work for a drink and some food. They have a huge selection of beers that are very reasonably priced. The spinach and ricotta tortellino is lovely and a lovely portion size. The staff were a bit slow but there was a great atmosphere and a good experience overall.

Soup Dragon
168 Capel Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I work on Capel St and go here for lunch most days. They have the most extensive selections of soups and they are always delicous. The service is always speedy even when they are under serious pressure between 1-2pm. The food is so different and the spelt bread is lovely! They also have the calories up for the soups which is great for anyone watching their weight. Good value for healthy food!

Giovanni’s Pizzeria Restaurant
3-4 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Dublin

Fantastic atmosphere and very busy for a thrusday evening. There were two of us and we were seated beside a large group which meant it was too noisy but the service was so friendly and the pizza margarita was delicious. Good value...will definitely be returning.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for Sunday lunch recently, had been dying to try it for a while. Firstly I had accidently booked the other branch of the restaurant but the staff were so accomodating and seated us straight away. I had the fish and chips which were nice but not the nicest in town. The decor is fabulous and very different and the atmosphere was good. A nice lunch but a little disappointed, but will be back to try the authentic tapas as maybe fish and chips was the wrong choice.

Chan's Restaurant

A top class chinese restaurant. Went here of dinner and would also use their take away service often. The chili garlic prawns on the start menu are delicious, their thai curry is lovely and the service and setting is excellent.

Absolutely excellent service, dined here on a busy saturday night and the staff were so friendly and efficient. Menu is a bit limited but the food was lovely none the less, I had the gnocchi which was delicious and my friend had the steak which was also very nice and presented very well. The cocktails were top notch and the atmosphere was great. A great dining experience.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Swords)
Pavillion Shopping Centre, Malahide Road, Swords, Dublin

Perfect place for a nice lunch when shopping in the centre. Very extensive menu and lots of healthy and vegetarian choice. Lovely staff but maybe not enough staff as we were waiting a little long. Good value for what you get.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for dinner with friends. Staff service was excellent, very friendly and efficient. Food is very fresh and healthy, the vegetable stir fry was lovely. A little on the expensive side for what you get but a great buzzy atmosphere, overall an enjoyable eating experience.

Tango Chinese Restaurant
Rathmullen Rd, Drogheda, Louth

Cannot fault this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and accomodating. The menu is so extensive and the thai green and red currys are delicious. The all you can eat menu is excellent value also and everything comes in neat portions so you're not overwhelmed with food. Its only flaw is that its not closer to the town so more people could enjoy it!!

profile_review

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Drogheda. The food is always great, the menu is so extensive and there is something for everyone. The vegetarian options are imaginative which is not always easy to come by. Th staff are always friendly and enthuasistic. The venue is gorgeous, decor is really well thought out and always a buzzy atmoshpere. Would highly recommend it for any age group and the value is excellent.

profile_review

Andersons Cafe
Highlanes Gallery, St Laurence Street, Drogheda, Louth

Absolutely lovely venue for a nice cafe and a relaxed setting to have lunch. However, the food is overpriced for what you get and the service leaves a lot to be desired, staff are slow and unmotivated and don't appear to have any experience. Very disappointing overall.

profile_review

Juliano's
Unit 1 High Street, Ashbourne Town Centre, Ashbourne, Meath

Went here for lunch recently and was not overly impressed. For lunch time on a saturday it was very quiet inside. One waitress informed us the pasta of the day was any pasta dish of our choice however another waitress confirmed it was infact spaghetti bolognese, not a great start. I had chicken skewers to start which were just ok and pizza which was fine but overall the food wasn't impressive enough to warrant a return visit. No atmosphere but a very nicely decorated place and very clean.

profile_review

The Old Post Office
Main Street, Slane, Slane, Meath

Staff were lovely and friendly and the service was great. Buzzy atmosphere but quiet small and tables close together so not the best for a quiet chat. Food was lovely, a little overpriced for what it is but a nice place for lunch nonetheless, dessert was delicous!

Went here for lunch today and was very impressed. The atmosphere was lovely, buzzing but not intrusive. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I had the goats cheese salad which had a generous serving of cheese, a nice change from some tiny portions you get. My friends had a pasta dish and a sandwich with fries and both were very impressed! all and all a great dining experience, will deifnitely be returning soon!

Have had lunch here a few times and have always been impressed. The service is very efficient and friendly. Tha atmosphere is always busy and buzzing. Queen of Tarts (Temple Bar)
3 - 4 Cow's Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for breakfast last saturday and was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was great, with the cow's lane market bustling outside! Very rustic and country kitchen type feel to the place. The menu isnt very extensive but there is some nice combinations. The staff are nice and friendly. Would definitely return here in the future!

The Vaults
(Under Connolly Station) IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Would frequent this place every now and again while waiting for the train. An absolutely fabulous setting, very gothic and great location. Lovely for a quiet drink but the atmosphere is never very lively during the week. The service is ok, just average. The drinks prices are fairly steep. This place has a lot of potential to be a lively hot spot for after work drinks but it would appear that they have no interest in attracting customers.

Went here one evening for dinner and am definitely looking forward to returning! The staff were very friendly and good craic as well as being efficient. The food was fabulous, really interesting menu with lots to choose from and great opportunities for trying new things! The atmosphere was brilliant, very lively but comfortable at the same time! Great value in the sense that I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and it was worth every penny!

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

One of my favourite places to eat in Dublin. An excellent setting that is clean and relaxed. The service is great, always friendly staff who are very efficient. The menu is very extensive and the food is very good quality. The value is not bad for temple bar, they sometimes have very good value lunch specials mid week.

profile_review

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here with my menupoints voucher and was a little disappointed. The photos are a lot different from the reality, the restaurant is not as fancy as it looks in them. There was not much atmosphere or any buzz about the place. The staff were just ok, not very friendly but not rude. The food was nice, the brie was a little on the cool side, the chicken was swimming in oil and the tirimusu was definitely not of a great standard. Possibly my expectations of this place were too high and that led to my disappointment. It was a nice meal and it was great to have the starter, main and dessert for free, not so sure I would go again and pay.

profile_review

Salthouse Restaurant

have eaten here a few times and have always had a nice experience. There is a lovely laid back atmosphere and the staff are very nice. The food isn't great, nothing you couldn't make for yourself at home after a day at work, not very wow at all but the prices are quite fair.

A great place for atmosphere and buzz and always seems to be busy. The staff are lovely and very helpful and nice. The food is just ok, everything seems to taste the same after a while. The menu appears to have lots of choice but many of the dishes are very similiar in their ingredients. Prices are just ok.

Romanza Restaurant
Distillery House,, Dyer Street, Drogheda, Louth

One of the most disappointing restaurants experiences I have had in my life. Went here to try for a friends birthday recently. The table was booked for 8 o'clock and our table of 8 people were all there within 10 minutes. On arriving at 8 o'clock we were promptly sent to the bar as our table was not ready and we were given no apology or explanation. After waiting over half an hour and declining to place a drinks order at the bar several times I asked a member of staff when our table would be ready and was told it would be another 15 minutes at least. On hearing this we decided to leave and were greeted with rude comments from the head waiter on the way out the door and absolutely no sign of an apology. As a resident of Drogheda i have also heard many other poor reports about this restaurant.

The staff are just ok, can be hit and miss. Overall it's worth giving a try just to experience it once.
