Our first visit here about a month ago was superb, service, food, and atmosphere was fantastic! We returned this week for an early dinner, an unfortunately our experience was not repeated. The starters was reasonable, we wanted to order the starter while we waited for another member of the party to arrive, we ordered the Chicken Wings, which were just ok, nothing special and the Breaded Mushrooms were slightly better. We then made our order of two portions Penne Amatriciana and the Vegetable Pizza. After waiting for 40 minutes, we were left wondering if the chef had flown to Italy to collect our dishes! When we asked how much longer the food would be, a non-interested waiter said he’d check, and then if by magic, five minutes later, two extremely hot plates of Amatriciana arrived with Spaghetti and not the Tagliatelle as ordered (the steam coming from the plates could almost give you a facial!) and a partly cooked Vegetable Pizza. During the meal, as each person finished eating a waiter would come over and take the plate away from the table while the remaining people continued eating, which I believe is the height of bad manners. On the waiter’s third visit to the table to remove the pepper grinder, he knocked a glass of water over the plate of food that was still being eaten! All in all, an awful experience that made 3 Italian diners determined never to return.

Spice Indian Restaurant
Monck Street, Wexford Town, Wexford

Visited Spice as my partner wanted Indian, and I wanted a steak! What a find, Spice was able to provide both, the service was warm and very hospitable, and the wine list was very reasonably priced! Both dishes of the Steak and the Chicken Passanda were cooked perfectly and the Mango Moose to finish was superb. I would highly recommend Spice to anyone visting Wexford!

The Clarendon Bar
32 Clarendon Street, City Centre South, Dublin

the €8.95 special menu is fantastic, tried the Shepherds Pie and the Cajun Chicken, both were superb, that with either a free desert or soup starter is perfect for a quick dinner in town!

Taste Food Company
South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Called in for a breakfast, I found it over priced, the sausages were what you would find if you ordered "Bangers & Mash" not a full Irish! Potato Rosti was far too over seasoned and didn't accompany the bacon, egg and mushroom which was lovely! Don't think I'll be rushing back any time soon!

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

After visiting Fire a few years ago, I was disapointed with my time there, so after finding their pre-theatre menu was a nice surprise. Myself and 3 friends dined there on Friday evening and every dish was perfect! A great deal for 3 dishes for under €30!!! Best steak I've eaten in a long time!! Looking forward to going back!!

Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

For a cold wintery October evening, Chez Max is a perfect way to put a smile on your face!! The Early Bird, which is fantastastic value is perfect. The French Onion soup was just what was needed, followed by the Beef Bourguignon, perfection....Better half had the White fish and Tomato Flan followed by the Chicken Supreme, both plates were empty!! The wine is abit on the pricey side, but VERY nice!!! Rounded off evening with French Coffee... I am looking forward to going back soon!!

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Popped into an old favourite after hearing on the grapevine that Café Presse had returned to Paccinos! I was delighted to discover the menu was as good as the last time I was there! We had the Ceaser Salad and the Garlic bread to start, and the Salmon Bake and a 10oz Sirloin for mains, washed down with a lovely crisp bottle of Frascatti…. Service and food both superb!!! Delighted on Paccinos’ return!!!
