The restaurant was too packed, maybe that\'s a good sign, I didn\'t like it. My chair was too low for the table. The food was ok, same for service but not enough to sway my overall opinion. It was not a wow experience, i got fed. Its not my type of restaurant it doesn\'t have intimacy and the price is high for what you get.

Diep le Shaker
55 Pembroke Lane, (Off Pembroke Street), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Diep is an excellent restaurant and I would recommend it, We had to wait a while for our table, which can be a good and bad sign. The table I did get upstairs was not great, they promised to move us, but it was too late we already had starter etc, its awkward to move at that stage. The food itself was excellent. We were too far from music to enjoy it, Price on the high side

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

I have dined here a couple of times and always found it expensive, so I decided to try it for lunch and invited a friend and his wife. The atmosphere was good but the draft from the door needs more than a curtain. On the day one of the specials was lamb and the waitress recommended it. I took her advice and the lamb was excellent. However they did not serve any mint sauce.I asked for some and after a delay another waitress came down and apologised that they had no mint sauce but would make it fresh for me. I was half way through my dinner at that stage and said it was ok. (That is poor service} We 4 main courses and 3 desserts, a bottle of white and 3 glasses Red. Cost €125. I still think this is OTT for a lunch menu. I think 1014 needs to look at its prices. There is better value in many other establishments and I for one will be more astute by checking menupages in advance. AidanB
