Yet another fabulous meal, Prawns and Black Pudding to start followed by Monkfish and a fillet steak! Think I've said all than can be said about this place before..consistently good food! You cant argue with that! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants, already looking forward to my next meal!

Fallons Cafe and Bar
Main Street, Kilcullen, Kildare

Its been a long time since I've been here, although the food is lovely, i do feel it is somewhat overpriced and service can be slow! Well that was until i went last weekend for Sunday lunch! 3 courses for 19.95, and there was no compromise on the food. A few of us were out and between us we pretty much ordered one of everything from the menu. I had the goats cheese bruschetta to start and roast chicken for my main. It was only to die for! Just what you want for a sunday lunch and the complements were flowing around the table. With the set course there is no choice for dessert but with baked vanilla cheesecake on offer, i had nothing to argue with. You can however order from the other dessert options for 2.50 supplement, still it very reasonable! No complaints about the service, just a very busy sunday arvo! There isn't many places locally offering such a lovely proper sunday lunch/dinner, and most certainly not at such competitive prices. I will definitely be returning and not leaving it so long next time

Bardons Pub

Pub Grub....look no further! Lots to choose from and there is no such thing as a bad choice..everything is just so tasty! Yum!! Must say the extra seating is definitely noticeable and so is the extra staff, well done! 5/5

Butt Mullins
Poplar Square, Naas, Naas, Kildare

Just returned from a lovely Sunday lunch. Its been a long time since I was here, with my last experience not particularity enticing me to return, however we were pleasantly surprised today..down to a change in the chef I am to believe. The menu is not by any means extensive, but there is a good variety to chose from at reasonable prices and one could not fault what was served. The desserts were particularity good with the biggest problem deciding what to order. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Have heard that the early bird is great value so will definitely be returning to try this out soon

The Saddle Room @ The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne Hotel, 27 St Stephen's Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

This is my second time in the Saddle Room and was even more enjoyable than the first (not that I could fault anything that time either). We booked a table for 6pm on a Friday to avail of the early bird menu. The staff were so friendly, couldn't do enough for us, the food was fab and we had a little booth so were oblivious to anyone else in the restaurant..almost like our own private party. The evening was so relaxing and we were never put under any pressure to move on...even though we stayed till close to 9.30. At only approx. €3 more expensive than most decent early birds in town, the saddle room is a real treat with lovely house wines for €28.50. I would recommend the merlot and Viogner. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Hanged Man's
Milltown, Newbridge, Kildare, Newbridge, Kildare

My boyfriend brought me here recently for my birthday..its been a while since we've been but do tend to go on special occasions...and it never disappoints. The flexi bird is just a brilliant idea...basically an early bird all night sun-thurs and until about 7 fri and saturday. I would have to say that the food is up there with some of the nicest restaurants in Dublin and its just secretly tucked away outside Milltown, Kildare. On this occasion to start we had king Prawns in Filo with Spinach and the Potato skins...both were amazing, if not just a little on the large side considering we still had mains to come. Fillet steak and Chicken Supreme...again nothing to fault here either..just amazingly good food. The one thing we always say is the lack of a dessert menu, although the trio is lovely, sometimes it would be nice to have a choice. No matter what day of the week or time you come here..there will always be someone else in the restaurant...in these recessionary times and in such a remote location, i think this is just a testament to the establishment and what how its customers rate it. Outside the flexi-bird the menu can be a tad on the expensive side....but if there is one thing that this restaurant has, its consistency...I've yet to have a meal that didn't live up to my expectations!

Bardons Pub
Main Street, Kilcullen, Kildare

Pub grub doesn't really get much better than this. With an evening menu of 2 courses for 15 euro..how could one complain. With a large selection to choose from and great value for money...its simply great food that will fill even the largest of appetites! We've been a few times and have yet to be disappointed with the food..the chicken curry is a must! I did prefer the skinny chips ..although the chunky ones are fab, sometimes its like eating a meal with a meal and not chips as a side. The only thing i can fault here is the service. Friday/Saturday nights are always jammed with people ordering food and there can be quiet a wait sometimes, however in saying that..a lovely pub to sit back and relax with a few drinks so the wait is not always that noticeable. I would advise booking a table at weekends, especially if going with a group as it tends to be pretty full.

Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Dame St)
50-51 Dame St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have previously eaten at Bobo's on Camdem street, but the size of the premises gave more of a take away feel than gourmet burgers! Dame street had much more of restaurant vibe to it and was a welcome escape from the miserable rain outside. Burgers don't get much better than this...our only problem was deciding which one to have! We had a voucher so for us it was extremely good value...the prices I suppose are a little steep for burgers and chips, but i don't think you'll find a better comparable in town. Service was a little slow...the restaurant was jammed and given that it was the eve of a Rugby match i think they could have done with more floor staff as they were simply run off their feet. We throughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

Kathmandu Kitchen Nepalese & Indian Restaurant
18 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Lovely atmosphere, great staff and great food! We had a groupon voucher, so was excellent value for money..could choose whatever we wanted off the menu, not just a select few like some places. Have recommended it to a few friends and they have all thought equally as highly of it. Will definitely go back soon.

Treyvaud's Restaurant
62 High Street, Killarney, Kerry

After much seaching online for a really nice restaurant, we picked this Gem! The staff were really friendly and the food was to die for! I had a cod and crab bake to start and my boyf had fish cakes...both were superb. For main I chose chicken, served with creamed spinach and it was only amazing! Other half nearly always has steak but decided to go for the meatballs this time round and he wasnt disappointed! Some might say the restaurant its-self is quite ordinary, but dont let this fool you. The atmosphere was lovely...and food is definitely the focus! We only had starters and mains as we simply couldnt fit anymore in after the dinner! We both agreed that this is probably the nicest meal we've eatin out and boyf cannot wait to get back to killarney to try out the steak! Definitely worth a visit
