I have been to this restaurant a few times and the quality of service and the food has always been excellent. The menu has good choice and the specials are very good and reasonable. The atmosphere is very quite and there is not great ambiance but it is perfect for a good chat. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

Ate lunch here and was very disappointed. I found that the portion size was too big and that the price matched it. I got the Captains 3 which included wings, chips and a salad. The salad wasnt great and the chips didnt retain their heat very well. The wings were tasty but there was just too many of them. It would be better to go here for dinner as the food and the menu are quite nice but just too much for lunch. However, the service was great and the staff were very polite. The restaurant itself is quite funky with the memoribilia on the walls and has a nice atmosphere.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I had a voucher for this restaurant for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 glasses of wine for 19euro. This was fantastic value as the food was yummy. I ordered the tart for starter and my boyfriend had the wings, these had a yummy sauce on them and were delicious. For mains, I had the duck, I found it to be quite dry, really lacking a sauce but quite nice besides. My boyfriend had the steak and said it was cooked perfectly. Service on the whole was good, however, I arrived 15mins before my partner and the waitress didnt ask me if I wanted a drink or anything while I waited. I would return though!

The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

A group of us went here last Friday and we had reserved a table by the window. Its a lovely place for a relaxed dinner, the menu has a lot of choice. I got the vol au vont for starters and pasta for the mains. I cant fault the food, it was delicious. The atmosphere is typical of a good pub, although it is loud with the level of people chatting, your still able to hear each other. The pub was packed! The service staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitley return here!

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for a much needed dinner after the mini marathon. The early bird offer is fantastic with three courses for 14.95 and if you mention menupages there is a free glass of wine. This was great value and the food was tasty and wholesome. I couldnt fault the food and there was a good choice on the menu. The atmosphere was very quiet and at times I felt like we were being rushed and the courses were served very quickly! In the heart of temple bar it is a great location. For value and food I would return here!

Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Went here with a group of friends for dinner on a sunday evening. The restaurant was pretty full and seems to be always busy. This gives a nice atmosphere to the place. The staff were really friendly and polite. And we were given plenty of time to look at the menus and between courses so we didnt feel rushed at all. The selection of food on the menu is very good with a range of meats and vegetarian options. I had the feta cheese to begin and chicken pilafi for mains-the food was tasty and quite flavoursome. Its a filling meal so the portion sizes dont need to be too large. I would definitely return to this restaurant as the value for money is also good.

Fat Freddys
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

The restaurant is very small and the tables are situated quite close to each other. We arrived with no appointment so we had to wait a few mins for a table. Didnt mind this but the waitresses seemed to forget us for a while once we were seated. People who came after us were served before us. The food was quite tasty-had a pizza and a pasta carbonara. Thought the value was ok, considering the portions were large for the pasta. An average of 10-15 for a mains. Foodwise-it was lovely but would only return on a quieter night for service and atmosphere.

Eddie Rockets (Santry)
The Omni Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Perfect location to give yourself a treat for before or after a cinema trip. The staff were friendly and polite. It was packed so the service was a little slow. The new menu with the sliders makes it really affordable. The food as always was yummy, its nice fast food! And with a malt to wash it all down, its perfect for a quick bite to eat!

Dandelion
St. Stephen's Green, St Stephens Green, Dublin

Went here with a few friends for the early bird special, the deal is quite good at 2 courses for 14.95 and three courses for 19.95. The restaurant section of Dandelion had very little atmosphere and the decor is ok but at some places you are surrounded by mirrors. The food was nice, steak and chips-hard to go too far wrong! 5euro cocktails is a good way to end the meal and if you are looking for a quick bite to eat followed by a few drinks, this is a good place to go!

Il Sorriso Restaurant
New Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The food was tasty, well presented and a good portion size. The value for money was good as the atmosphere is nice and makes for a nice night out. There is a good choice on the menu for different pizzas and pastas, but also a great selection of meat dishes, for those who dont like Italian food. The waiting staff were polite and friendly. I would go back to this restaurant.

Noble House - Malahide Rd
Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Malahide, Dublin

A large group of us went here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy with many tables full. We had reserved a table at the back of the restaurant. I was on the edge and very close to the people sitting next to us, I could clearly hear their conversation. There was a light that changed colours behind my head that I found very distracting! The waiter was abrupt when taking our order and very unapproachable. The food itself was nice but some of us were waiting longer to get it. The portion sizes were large and the value for money was good as they had a 4 course menu which could be ordered from the main menu.

Wongs of Clontarf
436 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Went here with a few friends to avail of the early bird offer as this restaurant is normally expensive, this has not changed. If you want a meat dish, it will cost €25 for the 4 courses. A bottle of house wine is on special for €16.95, this compensates a little for the price of dinner. The food itself was tasty and well presented. The portion sizes of the starters were small but the main course is quite large with a few of us leaving food behind. The staff were friendly enough and the service was good.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went to this restaurant on a budget and order the chips, burger and drink for €9.99. The food was tasty and the portion size was big enough for a full dinner. Great value with this offer as a drink is included. The atmosphere was quite, its a perfect place for a quick bite to eat, not anything fancy! Would defo return here.

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

The restaurant upstairs wasnt open when we went as it was a Monday night. We just ate downstairs in the lounge area. The menu was mainly pub grub but the portion sizes were generous and there was a good variety on the menu. It wasnt just the typical fish dishes that you get in Howth. The staff were friendly and nice. Its a nice place for a quick meal or a relaxed meal.

La Gondola
51 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

The restaurant is in temple bar which is a great location. The set dinner had very little choice, however, it was pretty cheap at only €10.95 for 2 courses. A bottle of house wine was only €12.50 which is great value for temple bar. The wine was nice as long as your not too fussy. The food was tasty and the portion sizes were generous. The service was poor with the main courses arriving before the starters had been removed. Its a nice place for a casual dining experience.

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

A gem in swords! The food was tasty with wholesome flavours. It was well presented. However, the menu is hard to follow and you must read everything to understand what is in he dish. The service was great with very attentive waitresses. The atmosphere is very quiet but it is well suited for a romantic meal or a catch up with a friend. Definitely will eat here again!

Botticelli
3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Myself and a friend eat here quite often as we find the food delicious, we always get a pasta dish each. The sauces are rich and filling but very wholesome. The early bird is great value with a starter and main course for €13.95 with the option for a cake and coffee for an additional €5. However, the atmosphere is very quite and not much going on. This suits diners who may be looking to catch up with friends. The location is great in the heart of temple bar. On the whole, a lovely cheap reastaurant.

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate lunch here and was very disappointed. I found that the portion size was too big and that the price matched it. I got the Captains 3 which included wings, chips and a salad. The salad wasnt great and the chips didnt retain their heat very well. The wings were tasty but there was just too many of them. It would be better to go here for dinner as the food and the menu are quite nice but just too much for lunch. However, the service was great and the staff were very polite. The restaurant itself is quite funky with the memoribilia on the walls and has a nice atmosphere.

The Bistro at Ella
7 Main Street, Howth, Howth, Dublin

We went to a wine tasting night here, it was 5 courses and 5 glasses of wine for €45 each. This was great value considering the atmosphere of the night and the courses were fantastic. The restaurant is small but it was full for the wine tasting. Everybody was in good form and it gave it a wonderful atmosphere. The wines were lovely and really complimented the food. They brought out the flavours of the food to perfection. The theme was 'New World Wines'. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a very enjoyable night. I cannot fault the night, the atmosphere, the staff or the food. Fantastic!

Casa Pasta (Howth)
12 Harbour Road, Howth, Dublin

As always had a lovely night in Casa Pasta. It is guaranteed that the food here will be great. The pasta sauces are always wholesome and rich. They are very filling but if you cannot finish it you can take it home as they provide a take out service. The service and atmosphere are nice, its a lovely place for a quiet dinner and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is fab on the pier in howth.

Golden Elephant Restaurant
Sutton Cross Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Sutton, Dublin

This restaurant is now called the Golden Elephant. I went there on Sunday of the bank holiday and it was surprisingly quiet. I dont know if this is due to the quiet location in sutton. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. We had the special menu which had a good enough selection and included four courses for €18.95. The little extras made the place very welcoming with hot towels after dinner and a fruit salad for our icecream. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
