We ate here on a company night out. The place is really charming and the waiting staff are brilliant. Not to mention the food was excellent. It is a little pricy but I would definitely recommend it if anyone was taking a trip to Galway and wanted good food in a handy location for going out afterwards.

I have been here a few times including last weekend. Standard carvery dinners are served with no frills but they are decent sized portions and very tasty. The waiting staff are very nice and it's incredibly cheap for the amount of food that is served.

The Martry Restaurant and Bar
Kells Road, Navan, Kells, Meath

I stopped into this modest looking restaurant en route to Dublin from Kells and was extremely thankful I did! The food was absolutely delicious (beef stir fry with rice and chips) and the portions-huge! Alot of the customers comprised of young families having their Sunday lunch. Service was attentive and quick.

WJ Kavanaghs Gastro Bar & Restaurant
4-5 Dorset Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

A really decent place to eat on Dorset Street. This place was recommended to us for its fabulous food and didn't disappoint. It also has a great selection of craft beers if you're feeling adventurous and want a change from the Bulmers or Heineken.

Kanum Thai Ltd
77 Mespil Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and sat in. Was helped by the very friendly staff to choose a recommended dish from the vast menu. Our portions were generous and very tasty. Will be back!

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A good variety of food on the menu at good value. The inside of the restaurant is impressive and different from others in Dublin. However, the open kitchen with poor ventilation leads for a smoky experience!

O'Donnell's Bar and Restaurant
Mounthawk, Tralee, Tralee, Kerry

Where do I start?! At first glance the menu can appear a little pricey for pub grub but it is so worth it. Four of us all got a variety of dishes that were generously portioned and so tasty. The food is on par with a top restaurant! The staff also deserve a special mention, for their friendlness and efficency, I would definitely reccommend this place!

Ballyroe Heights Hotel - Palace Bar & Restaurant
Ballyroe, Tralee, Tralee, Kerry

I went to a wedding here last week and thought the incredible food an service were noteworthy. The range and portions of food were really well impressive as was the organisation of the staff....alot of who were mioddle aged and had lovely Kerry charm. Always a good thing in a highly touristic area.

Diwali Indian Restaurant
Unit 1, Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A reliable place for a decent indian with the friendliest waiters in town!! My tikka masala was spot on - not overloaded with too much chicken. The portions are just right and and the price matches the quality of food.

Ashtons GastroPub
11 Vergemount, Clonskeagh Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin

Nice place for a lunch or a Sunday dinner....had the mixed salad with salmon which was huge. Their breads are freshly made and they have a large variety of delicious deserts. not many people in there when I was there but at least we could sit by the window with a view of the river.

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

A friend recommended I try the €55 meal deal here so I booked for a Thursday evening. The place was buzzing as the friendly host showed us to our table. I had the stuffed mushrooms for starters which were tasty and not too overpowering. I chose the BBQ Salmon for mains (this also had been recommended to me) - WOW - the best Salmon I've ever had! Following that came the Bannofi Pie which was a little disappointing given the standard of the main course. Overall, you can't fault this place esp given the price of the overall meal!

The Huntsman Inn
College Road, Galway City, Galway

A group of us booked the restaurant for the dinner menu and were nicely suprised at how decent the food was for a pub restuarant. I had the steak which was well cooked and nicely presented. The selectin of food on the menu was great and served everyones tastes!

Busker Brownes
Cross Street, Galway City, Galway

Not a great place if you're looking for a special lunch. It's just very average food at the norm price. The interior is very dark and there is a lack of atmosphere.

profile_review

Monroes
Upper Dominick Street, Galway City, Galway

One of the best places for Pizza in Galway. We were only kept waiting 5 mins between ordering and getting our piping hot and tasty food. It's a great place for friendly drinks too.

The Forge Restaurant
Potteragh, Carnaross, Kells, Meath

I heard many people raving about this place so 4 of us booked in for dinner. I has the monkfish and was a little disappointed in it's bland taste and lack of presentation. Saying that, my friends were all happy with their meals and the whole homemade brown bread was perfection. The staff were very friendly too.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I'll admit that I'm not a huge meat fan but the sirloin steak that I ate here last night was faultless. Seven out of our eight people all ordered steak and we totally devoured them. I has the chocolate torte for dessert which was heaven but was disappointed by the pistachio ice-cream that accompanied it as were a few others. The service was friendly and super efficent and for a Monday night, the restaurant was nearly full and the atmosphere jolly.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

A typical American style diner with a little difference. You get to choose exactly what contents you want in your burger by filling out a order form! The food was great (although we were kept waiting for a while) & the waitress was nice too.

Monsoon (Rathmines)
306-308 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

I've been here twice and always have a great time! The waiters are v. friendly and the food is fantastic!

The Clock Tower
Fintrabay, Killybegs, Donegal

Was visiting the nearby Glencolmcille area so myself and 3 friends went for a meal here. The restaurant has a lovely setting. Its interior is not too formal and it bodes well for the families who like to dine out for Sunday dinner. There's a good selection on the menu, the fish cakes that I had were lovely.

Ard Bia - Closed

A lovely cosy little restaurant, that serves a delicious array of rustic dishes. The waiting staff are very casual and relaxed which adds to the atmosphere.

Park House Restaurant (Galway)
Park House Hotel & Restaurant, Forster Street, Eyre Square, Galway City, Galway

I don't think I've ever been disappointed by the food that I have eaten in this restaurant. The only thing that is a bit lacking is the atmosphere. The waiting staff are very professional and the manager is always seen to be keeping an eye on your every need.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Undeniably great value on the early bird here. We went on a Monday night, the restaurant was buzzing, the food delicious and we made a mega saving...especially when they accepted my menupages voucher. The early bird €5 bottle of wine for two topped it all off! Thanks Luigis and Menupages!

profile_review

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A great casual place to go for a meal that'll certainly fill you for the rest of the day! Tasty vegetarian food is hard to come by in Dublin city but this place has nailed it!

profile_review

Bahay Kubo
14 Bath Avenue, Sandymount, Sandymount, Dublin

What a gem of a place! Guranteed FUN with great food! A 3 piece filipino group plays cracking tunes for two hours while you have your delicious meal. A solid place for a alternative night out that you will never forget :)

Howards Way (Churchtown)
11 Braemor Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

I've been here a few times now and it always amazes me how popular this place is. The breakfast itself is always reliable to fill a gap but the service could be improved apon.

Queen of Tarts (Temple Bar)
3 - 4 Cow's Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin

A great improvement of the origianl Queen of Tarts on Dame Street, this one has ample room and nice decor. The food is well presented and tastes devine!

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is a cool little place, especially for first dates. The restaurant is cave like and has little candels dotted around the place, on the walls and tables. The food for me is the little bit of a let down. Everything seems to be deep fried apart from the veggy dishes. I'd still recommend it though, it's got a really nice atmosphere.

Quay 16 Restaurant @ MV Cill Airne
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, IFSC, Dublin

This is a foolproof restuarant which offers top notch foodand service. When I booked our place, I told them it was a special occasion dinner and they actually seated us at the nicest table in the restaurant. Their waiting staff are real professionals and nothing is too much trouble. On finishing our delicious meal, we were allowed to retire up on deck with our bottle of wine. The little bar in the bistro area also offers some really good cocktails.

profile_review

Kafka (Dublin)
236 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

This place is undeniably good! I had the pasta and my friend had the chicken brest with fries. The portions were generous, presentation pretty and it was delicious. We shared the apple and cinnamon crumble for desert, just enough to send us over the edge. Combine that with a bottle of wine and it was €60 altogether. Our waitress was lovely and the manager very friendly. I can't wait to visit again.

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

It's a shame that this place seems to be lacking lately. The interiors are beautifully decorative but the food was overcooked and the service by our waitress appalling.

profile_review

The Malt House
Old Malt Mall, High Street, Galway City, Galway

We booked here early for a saturday evening meal because we were given a voucher for the restaurant. We both thought the food did not match the price that the restaurant was charging. Mains were between 20-30 euro and on the menu the dishes sounded amazing but in reality they were very plain and small portioned. Nice interior and atmosphere inside though.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

My first visit to Roly's was no let down. We opted for the pre-theatre menu, at first sight not a huge amount of choice but the food itself didn't disappoint. It has to one of the best meals I have had in Dublin so far, all three courses for €27! The waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive and they let us stay beyond our required departure time.Am already booking my next visit...

profile_review

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My first time to dine in Alfie's was great! The service was flawless and the food delicious. Will definitely be back again!

profile_review

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

If you can, visit the new upstairs wine bar and dine there too. The service is fantastic and it's a complete contrast to downstairs in the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant. Very friendly and efficent staff too! Thankfully, my opinion of Tribeca is changing for the better!

profile_review

MV Cill Airne Boat Bar & Restaurant
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

I've been to the Bistro three times so far and everytime I return, I'm more impressed. The food is tasy and well presented and the staff are pleasant and very fast without being intrusive. It has a good mix of corporate and casual diners and I guess overall it's a novelty to be on a boat restaurant.

profile_review

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

The food was just ok & so too was the atmosphere. The tables were tightly pushed together. There was nothing really nice on the desert menu. The waiting staff were very nice though.

profile_review

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Crow Street
2 Crow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We opted for the Early Bird. A few from our table were running late and the staff didn't seem to mind that we went beyond the time you had to order to avail of it the Early Bird. The food was delish and very reasonably priced. It would be a little steep if you were not getting the Early Bird option but I doubt you'd be disappointed. Staff were very friendly and the placed had a very relaxed atmosphere.

profile_review

The Chili Club
Anne's Lane, South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We went here for the Early Bird menu so were not expecting large sized portions (just as well)but the quality of food was just average. As was the staff. We dined in the room downstairs which was very small and the tables were all squeezed in together.

profile_review

Marios (Ranelagh)
39 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

My default place for great Italian food in a lovely area. They don't take bookings but if it's full when you arrive it's easy to reserve a place.

profile_review

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

This is the perfect pub/restaurant for a weekend dinner. It has a nice little bar to the front and a great bar at the back extending into a restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff are very good. It has a real Irish friendly feel to it. Will be spending a lot more time there!

profile_review

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I've been here twice now and on both occasions didn't leave with a great feeling about the place. Food was mediocre for it's price tag and the restaurant itself is very loud because the ceilings are so high. Won't be going back again.

profile_review

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great quality Italian food at a very reasonably price. The waiting staff are very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely go back and will recommend it to others.

profile_review

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love this place. It is a little tight for space but this just adds to the cosy atmosphere. The food is really tasty and well decorated. I can't recommend the duck pizza enough, just don't be suprised if you've no room for dessert. The staff are always pleasant and helpful too. It's great for either a casual romantic meal for two or a group booking as upstairs would hold about 15-20 people.

profile_review

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

This is a great place for casual dining. The staff could not be more pleasant and the atmosphere was completely relaxed. The food itself was slightly above average but as a whole, I left feeling very happy.

profile_review

Mother Reillys Restaurant
The Uppercross Hotel, 26-32 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Rathmines, Dublin

The food took forever to be served to us at which stage we thought, even if it's not good, we'll eat it! However, when we eventually got served, the vegetables were overcooked, soaking in butter and cold, the meat looked like it was frozen processed breaded chicken and it was barely disguised by a really bad gravy. Am afraid I won't be going back here for a meal but the pub is nice for a drink in.
