The best surf 'n' turf I have tasted in a long time. Thick steak cooked to perfection topped with big juicy prawns. Party of 4 dined and we all had steaks each one was cooked to our preference. Great staff with a friendly attentive service, always a pleasure to dine here.

il Divo Restaurant
2 Terenure Road East, (Above Comans), Rathgar, Dublin

Once inside the door it is like a little piece of Sorrento . We ate here as a party of four, and we all commented on how it felt like we had left Rathgar and being transported for two hours. A really enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived, the owner and staff were so friendly and attentive . The food was well prepared in italian style , flare and taste. The dine for two is really good value." Bellissimo"

JD'S was busy and buzzing when we arrived for a 7.00pm booking. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had prawn starters with surf and turf mains. The steaks were cooked to perfection and went well with a lovely bottle of malbec. A very enjoyable experience, made all the better with our menu pages voucher. Will definitely return soon.

The Dining Room
35 Dawson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This restaurant is one of those places that is always a beautiful dining experience. The dining room creates the perfect backdrop to make any occasion special. Our pre-theatre booking could not be found, but that was not a problem and we were soon brought to a table . As we were there for 5.30 the restaurant was a little chilly but it very soon warmed up as other diners arrived. The service was excellent, friendly and not overly familiar. The pre theatre is excellent value at €28.00 for 3 courses. The goats cheese with beetroot starter served on a slate was divine and was followed by a a most delicious, tender rib eye for my partner and cod on a mash and asparagus bed for myself. Quite one of the nicest fish dishes I have had in a long time. A delicious dark Chocolate fondant desert finished off this perfect evening..

Lemon Tree - Blessington
Main Street, Blessington, Wicklow

Four of us ate here last Saturday night and were quite impressed overall. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. The menu had so much choice, that we decided to go for the set menu for 4 people. This turned out to be a great choice,as I couldn't fault any of the food served, which was cooked perfectly. The shredded duck with pancake starter could have actually fed 6 people and was gorgeous. This was then followed by a crabmeat soup. The main courses were four different, full portion dishes with the beef and blackpepper containing the most tender fillets I've ever had. The sweet and sour prawn dish had plenty of large tiger prawns and just the right amount of chili. All this for €98 is really good value

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Dining out on a tuesday evening and roly's was quite busy as usual. We went for the pre theatre menu as it was only 6.00. The service was friendly, if a little over efficient, as on three different occasions the waiters tried to remove plates that were still being eaten. The starters were gorgeous. I had cashel blue cheese salad starter and with a glass of the house red it was divine the others had salmon cakes . My main was salmon cooked perfectly with a herb crumb .Two of the party went for fish and chips, this was dissapointing as the chips were frozen and the mushy peas were MUSHY!! Deserts came a little quickly with no time to digest mains ,even though we asked for a couple of minutes.Had sticky toffee pudding which was a little too dry. The coffee is not included in the price which is a little bit galling I would rather they just add it on or instead serve a couple less frozen chips!! All in all we enjoyed the atmosphere if a little rushed .We still made it out by 8.00 which is 15 mins before the pre theatre curfew

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Just come home after a visit to Marios. I cannot believe we have been going there for almost 12 years and have yet to be disappointed.Tonight we all had pizza and great deserts. No matter what we order the food is always just right and the staff are superb. If ever there was the slightest problem with anything, the staff have always put it right without any fuss whatsoever. The fact that some of the staff are still there all these years later says a lot for the quality of this restaurant. Without a doubt, the best family restaurant we have come across in Ireland.
