went here on a Friday evening with a couple of friends. I'd been to one or two Lebanese restaurants before but am no means an expert. One of my friends had stayed in Lebanon for a month and so made some recommendations. The menu is in English but I was aiming to have something authentic. We ordered 10 starters between us - tapas essentially and it was all delicious. I can't fault any dish I got. It was served quickly, the waitresses checked in on us continually to ensure everything was good. Its BYOB and so we brought a few beers which they chilled for us. There is a corkage fee €3. I felt very relaxed and even though we had an early sitting (6.30) there was no rush. We left after 9pm. Bill was cheap - cost us in the region of about €20 each. I would definitely go back here again and have already recommended it to friends. My only reservation is that they have a bellydancer who comes in. While it was very nice there is little room for dancing around the restaurant and I have to say I found it very distracting and a little uncomfortable when she was next to our table and we were trying to chat. However, I wouldn't let it put me off going there. I'll definitely be going back myself.

looking for somewhere to go for lunch, I popped in here with my boyfriend having read some good reviews. Waitress was friendly and efficient, I can't fault the staff at all. Restaurant feels a bit sparse but it was the middle of the day so no nice mood lighting to off-set this. We got a two course meal for €16.95 each. I had mussels in a creamy white wine sauce - delicious and a pizza for main. Pizza was nice but the toppings were concentrated in particular areas and at times I felt I was eating a plain pizza! My boyfriend got Clonakilty black pudding salad to start, not what was expected it was presented differently than he expected and nothing special to report. It was disappointing. He also got pizza which can only be described as bland even though it was meant to be a bit spicy. Overall, not what we expected and we both came away disappointed.

Pho Ta Vietnamese Restaurant
6 Cope Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

this is a nice little cosy restaurant - potential for Romance! I went with two friends and we ordered starters, mains, coffees and two deserts, all for EUR 30 including a 12.5% tip. I had a cold started - prawn summer rolls and a delicious noodle soup for main, cant remember the name but I think it was Hue Noodle Soup with beef, slight spicy kick to it. Not too spicy at all, in fact I added extra chilis - I'm a spice fan! We were stuffed after dinner so had coffees. I have a Vietnamese special - sweet yoghurt with coffee which ended up basically being a desert, it was delicious! I'd recommend this place if you like Asian food that's also healthy. We went on a Tuesday and there was enough people in the place to make it seem full and make us comfortable.

Ristorante Rinuccini Restaurant
No 1 The Parade, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Visiting from Dublin, this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend so we popped in on the off-chance that they would fit us in. We had three waiters in total attending us on the ground floor. The service is, on the whole, excellent with the exception of one waiter who was, no other word for it, surly and grumpy! Having had a beautiful meal with friendly, efficient service, this guy came to us at the end and put a downer on the whole experience! But its my only complaint. The food - it was excellent. They brought bread and bread sticks to nibble on while waiting on our food. We also ordered olives which came in a delicious olive oil. For my starter I had aubergine slices wrapped over cheese cooked in a tomato sauce. Vegetarian (I'm a meat eater so would rarely go for this option!) and it was full of flavour. My boyfriend got cured slices of beef with cheese and a little salad. He adored it. For main I got rib of beef cooked in a red wine reduction with parmesan risotto - one of the tastiest and nicest risottos I have ever had and it complimented the richness of the beef so well. The beef fell off the bone it was cooked nicely. My boyfriend got meatballs in tomato sauce with pasta. He was full of compliments and commented that the meatballs fell apart in his mouth (in a good way!). We were so stuffed that we decided to skip desert but opted for coffees instead - Amaretto and Calypso coffees. For me it was the perfect way to finish. Its not the cheapest restaurant - overall including wine it was €95 each including a 12% tip. It was an early bird menu - two courses for €23 and I think it was worth every cent. We liked it so much we considered coming back for lunch but never made it! I will be recommending it to friends as I'd like to see if they think the same!!!
