The Mill House restaurant
Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 08th April 2009 ( visited 17th March 2009 )The Mill House has a great atmosphere and is very tastefully decorated. As a vegetarian, I didn't have much of a choice, they had an oriental veggie stirfry which was amazing. They are very generous with portions, present the food very well, and the food is of very high quality. Would definitely recommend this place to people
Milano (Temple Bar) restaurant
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 24th October 2008 ( visited 19th October 2008 )Milano is always a great place for pizza, whose bases are the best in Dublin! The decor and atmosphere are brilliant too. I am a vegetarian and I wasn't stuck for choice at all, and their baked cheesecake with raspberry sauce is just the perfect way to finish of any meal!
12/13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
There was a big group of us (10) catching up. It was a great venue, we were there for about 6 hours. We all had a great meal and caught up over drinks the rest of the evening. Highly recommend for food, decor, service and staff.
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I came with 2 for 1 vouchers before going to the cinema. The restaurant is located in a hotel so patrons include loud tourists which takes away from the atmosphere. The waiter was friendly enough but did mess up the order slightly, quickly corrected it when he realised though. I am a vegetarian and didn't have many options. I went for the risotto which was tasty, but wasn't risotto. It was basically long grain rice in a creamy mushroom pasta sauce. Overall it was good value because of the vouchers, but wouldn't go there again.
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I came here for the first time yesterday with one of the livingsocial vouchers. I was very impressed. I am a vegetarian and usually find it very tough to find something on the menu. I love the way you can just go up and pick your own veg/seasoning/sauce etc, I went up 3 times and it was like tried three different dishes! We had the vegetarian spring rolls to start which were amazing, best spring rolls I have ever tasted! The chocolate fudge cake dessert was tasty too. The beer on tap is from the porterhouse so its great that they're supporting local businesses! The service was very good and the grillers were entertaining to watch too. Overall a very pleasant experience and I would definitely go here again.
Juice Vegetarian Restaurant
9 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I was here with 3 others to catch up over a bite to eat. I picked from the 10 euro for a 2 course brunch deal. I had white wine instead of a starter and the asian noodles as the main course with tofu. the noodles were delicious! the others liked their meals too. the waiters were friendly, but the food took over 30 minutes to arrive! other than that it was a pleasant experience and very good value, would definitely go again!
Town Bar and Grill
21 Kildare Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Came here with four others and took advantage of the pre theater/early bird menu. There wasn't much choice for vegetarians, basically the one starter and the one main course. got the grilled aubergine starter with goat's cheese, it was delicious! For the main course i got the arrabiata, which was average but the portion was huge! I would recommend the house chardonnay. Overall the service was good.
Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Wexford St)
22 Wexford Street (Beside Whelans), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I came here with a boardsdeals voucher that included two burgers and two chips. I am a vegetarian and there were 3 choices, I went for the D2 vege burger, which was delicious! The skinny rosemary chips were good too as were the chubby ones. I had the mango tango juice and it was tasty. The service was good too. Overall it was really good and would probably go there again!
Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
I went here for a lunch meeting. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere and decor are good, but it is a bit overpriced. A few of us got 4 dishes and shared. The aloo gobi, and dal were amazing. As was the mixed vegetable. The rice it came with was very nice with caramelized onions and spices. It is not a place you can go to all the time but good for the occasional treat!
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here with a few ppl before going to a play in the Olympia. Was very surprised to see that they dont have a pre theater or early bird menu considering how close they are to the Olympia. The food was alright, very overpriced and tiny portions! I am a vegetarian and went for the truffle and cream sauce pasta, which was good. Two ppl ordered burgers and they only come with polenta chips and they charge extra to have normal chips! the dessert i ordered was very good though - the chocolate mousse and chocolate soup. Wouldn't go here again unless they have a good discounted menu.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin
i came here with 2 for 1 vouchers. I am a vegetarian and usually find it hard to find options in a menu, but here I had the choice of at least 5 different burgers. I had the mushroom and feta burger which was delicious! I also had the oreo milkshake which was amazing too. The chips were also good. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend very highly!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)
14 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here with 2 for 1 vouchers from pigsback. We shared a portion of onion rings as a starter and I had the puy lentil burger, 'small size', which was quite big, don't know how a big one would be! I had the oreo milkshake as well, it was very good. I had plenty of choice as a vegetarian which is always a plus! It was very good value even without the vouchers, would definitely go there again!
Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin
The pizza here is delicious and there is a wide range of interesting pizzas. I wetn for the mediterranean feta pizza which was very good. The portions are huge and hard to finish. The place is overpriced if you aren't here early enough to get the early bird deal, which is quite good. would go there again!
Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I was here today to grab some food before going to the cinema - it is very handy for that as it is only a few minutes away. I had the paneer tikka starters which was good. Madina is the only place in Dublin that I have seen that does dosa, i had the masala dosa which was alright. the dosa was good but the filling, not so much. the sambhar was just alright. My friend has the chicken karahi, and was surprised to find that the chicken wasn't deboned, so that was a bit disappointing. I had the rasamalai for dessert which was delicious. the place is affordable especially with their special offers. would go back.
Lemon Jelly Cafe
Millennium Walkway, Jervis Street, Italian Quarter, Dublin
I was here yesterday to grab a bite to eat before going to the cinema. I made my own crepe and got mozzarella, spinach and mushroom, which was lovely! I then had the apple pie which was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. would definitely go there again!
Kate Kearney's Cottage
Gap of Dunloe, Beaufort, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry
We went here after walking the gap. The service was quick. I got the vegetable pasta which was delicious. I was here with a party of 10 and most ppl ordered lamb shanks, which looked good. The atmosphere is good and the food tasty. would recommend!
The Killarney Plaza Hotel, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry
I was here with a friend to grab a quick bite before catching a train. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was good and the food delicious and affordable. I had the focaccia bread sandwich with mozzarella, feta and spinach which was amazing. It came with chips and a salad, very good value for money!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I went here with 5 euro burger vouchers from pigsback. It was a sunny day and we managed to get seats outside which was good. The service was very slow, we were waiting for at least 10 minutes to get the menu. After you order it takes a while for the food to come out too. I got the veggie camembert burger which was delicious and side order of chips and breaded mushrooms both of which were good. The burgers are big and hard to finish tho!
The Westbury, Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I went here with a menupages voucher. the place is expensive but the service and the food is very good and the waiters keep bringing you lots of food you don't order like extra bread, desserts, etc. The only downside for me was the lack of choice of vegetarian dishes and the waiter coming with a chopping board full of different steak meats (or soemthing like that, lots of dead animal anyway) to show us. Overall, I would recommend the place for special occasions.
Bonga Korean BBQ
52 Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I was here yesterday with 8 other ppl for a going away dinner. The atmosphere was amazing as they were showing the Brazil vs North Korea match and everyone there was cheering for Korea. The buffet was good with plenty of choice for vegetarians. The two chilli tofu dishes were amazing as were the deep fried sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious. The waitress does give you funny looks when you go for a second or third helping, but it is a buffet so just ignore that! Would recommend highly!
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
Milano do the best pizza in Dublin and the branch in Dundrum is no different. It is much louder than all the other branches I have been to though, so it is not the ideal place for catching up with friends. Being a vegetarian, I have plenty of choices and went for the one with goat's cheese, spinach and caramelised onions, it was delicious!
The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I had 2 for 1 vouchers for the bar menu here so decided to try it out. It is hard to find a seat, which you have to do yourself and a lot of the empty ones are reserved. The food is typical bar food, not much choice for vegetarians such as myself. I had the creamy veg pasta which had no veg in it. My friend had the arrabiata which was alright. We had the church fries on the side which was great and easily the best dish on the table. Overall, not great value for money but with the vouchers it was OK. Wouldn't go there again.
Beresford Hotel, 21 Store Street, City Centre North, IFSC, Dublin
The first thing that strikes you when you go here is the decor, it is very tastefuly decorated and it feels like you are in a vineyard! The food is also amazing. Their garlic and cheese bread for starter is like a big pizza, four of us shared it. For the main course, I had many vegetarian choices and went for the creamy pasta which was delicious! I was very full at this stage so I skipped dessert even though they all sounded lovely. Would definitely recommend and would go there myself again!
Good World Chinese Restaurant
18 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
This was my second time here and I was just as disappointed as the first time. There is hardly any choice for vegetarians. I had the vegetarian spring roll as starter, which was just alright. I ordered the tofu and mushroom curry for main course, which was very disappointing, ended up eating the fried rice which was the only edible thing. The people I was with had the meat dishes, which they enjoyed, I think. The service here is good, but wouldnt' go here again, very disappointing for vegetarians!
Hard Rock Cafe
12 Fleet Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Came here with some vouchers that I had got from pigsback. The food is overpriced. There is not much choice for vegetarians and it costs just as much as the meat dishes. The waiter was very friendly and helpful though. I don't think I'll be going there again any time soon
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
since it was a sunny day on saturday we were on the search for a restaurant with outside seating free and ended up here. the service was great as usual, and I had the harlem pizza which was delicious. We enjoyed the breadball starter as well. Overall my experiences in this restaurant are always great and the sun really helped that day. definitely a place i will keep going to!
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I came here with a free main course voucher from menupages. I had the Gnocchi sorrentina which was delicious! Service was good and quick and the atmosphere was very good. The place is a bit pricey without special offers but luckily there are a few around. Would definitely go there again!
Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin
A large group of us(14) came here from work. There is a wide range of dishes for vegetarians which is great for me! I had the garlic bread with cheese for starter which was lovely and the vegetarian fajitas, which were deliciously spicy! I was very full at this stage but decided to try out the lime and tequila cheesecake which was amazing. The service was very good and most of our food arrived at the same time. Overall we had a very pleasant experience in Cactus Jack's and I would recommend it to everyone!
La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
This is a lovely little restaurant in Temple Bar. We were seated downstairs and had the whole floor to ourselves! I got the vegetable spring rolls for starters and pasta for main course, which were both delicious. The service was good, but they didn't give us the early bird prices even though we were there from 6!
Yo Thai (Mount Merrion)
Kielys Of Mount Merrion, Deerpark Road, South Co. Dublin, Mount Merrion, Dublin
A few of us came here for the 'early bird' menu which is actually available till 11pm!! This includes a starter and a main course for 18.95, which is very good value. I had the vegetable tempura for starter which was very good and the vegetarian red curry for main course which was also delicious. The service here is top notch and decor is lovely. Highly recommended!!
TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
TGI's do cheap and tasty cocktails (€5) and good desserts. Their food however isn't the best. They do good offers though with main course and a starter/dessert for €15. I had the vegetarian fajitas, which was alright. The atmosphere is loud and rushed but it is a good alternative to a pub for meeting up with friends.
Govindas Restaurant (Merrion Row)
18 Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin
As a vegetarian, I am a huge fan of Govindas. It is affordable and you get to try everything there is for under €7 in this branch. They also do great lassis and indian desserts. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is very friendly. Great place for a quick meal while shopping/before going to the cinema, etc.
Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
As usual, captain americas was busy and loud on a Sat night and I had my usual veggie enchiladas which were delicious. They also had a great deal on cocktails and I had the oreo meltdown which was amazing. Would go again with vouchers, but it is a bit overpriced otherwise.
The Lotts Cafe Bar
9 Lower Liffey Street, City Centre North, Dublin
I came here with a few friends this week for some food/drinks. the service was very slow. As a vegetarian, I didn't have much choice but the creamy mushroom fettuccine was delicious. Overall, the whole dining experience was just alright.
Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Milanos is always a safe bet when it comes to Italian food, especially the pizza. As a vegetarian I have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and went for the aubergine bake, and it was delicious! The portions are very generous and the service very good. I would definitely go there again!
Kielys Of Mount Merrion
Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion, Dublin
A few of us went for lunch from work to Kielys in Mt Merrion. The service is very good, with the manager making special arrangements for my vegetarian food. I didn't have a lot of choices, but I got the spring rolls with all the veg on the side and it was very tasty! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended!
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went here with a 25 off menupages voucher. The service was very good and the food was amazing. Two of us shared a garlic bread starter and had a main course each with drinks. I had the vegetarian creamy pasta which was delicious. The portions are huge so I couldnt finish it and had no room for dessert! My friend had a burger and really enjoyed it too. The skinny chips that came with the burger was great too. Carafes of wine are very affordable, I had the rosalita which was really nice. I would highly recommend this place and definitely go there myself again!
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I came here for lunch to catch up with a friend. They had a great lunch deal - 15.95 for a starter and main course. I got the sweet potato and corn fritters which were lovely. For main course, I got the butternut squash yellow curry which was delicious, but couldn't finish it because the portions are big and after a starter, it is hard to fit in the main course. The service was brilliant and the place is very tastefully decorated. Would definitely recommend and will be going there a lot myself!
South Street Restaurant
Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
We came here to have tea and ended up staying here for hours just snacking. The service is very good and food is top notch. The hummus dip with pitta bread is presented very well with the hummus spread int he shape of a cat's head! There is a huge choice of desserts and they all look amazing. The tiramisu was delicious! Highly recommended!
The Restaurant @ Marks and Spencer
Marks and Spencer, Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin
The food here is amazing and very affordable especially and lunch times where they have the 12.5 deal for main course, drink and dessert! And it is also valid on weekends! It is hard to catch the attention of the waiting staff but once you do the service is good. The atmosphere is great and the balcony seats are great on sunny days...
The Mill House
Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Dublin
The Mill House has a great atmosphere and is very tastefully decorated. As a vegetarian, I didn't have much of a choice, they had an oriental veggie stirfry which was amazing. They are very generous with portions, present the food very well, and the food is of very high quality. Would definitely recommend this place to people
11 Vergemount, Clonskeagh Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin
I went here with a group of people from work for lunch one day. The food is incredibly tasty, not much choice for vegetarians, but the vegetable stirfry was brilliant and the veg on the side is amazing. The decor is great and the overall atmosphere there made the whole experience enjoyable. Would definitely recommend the place and go there more often myself!
Kielys of Donnybrook
22 Donnybrook Road, Donnybrook, Dublin
Kielys is always a good place to go for a match or just to catch up with friends. It has a great atmosphere especially when rugby is on, and they do great food. I am not stuck for choice as a vegetarian and their spinach and ricotta stuffed pasta is brilliant! All in all, Kielys is a great pub, with good food!
Casa Pasta & Pizza (Donnybrook)
3 Eirpage House, Donnybrook Road, (Opp Rugby grounds), Donnybrook, Dublin

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Milano is always a great place for pizza, whose bases are the best in Dublin! The decor and atmosphere are brilliant too. I am a vegetarian and I wasn't stuck for choice at all, and their baked cheesecake with raspberry sauce is just the perfect way to finish of any meal!
Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went here with two friends last night. We had the house wine which was amazing. I had the penne arrabiatta which was delicious. The service is very good and the waiters are very friendly. The atmosphere was very lively too. Highly recommended!
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Salamanca has a great atmosphere and the food is excellent. The only complaint I would have are that all the tables are very close together and it is very loud when it is packed, which is most of the time! There is a wide variety of choices for vegetarians, and everything is very reasonably priced. All in all, it is a great and affordable place to catch up with friends!
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
As a vegetarian this is one of the few places I have a variety of food to choose from. The food is very tasty and it is a great place to celebrate a birthday. The place is deceptively small, but can cater for big parties. They have wonderful desserts (deep fried icecream!!) and the decor is colourful and lively
Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Came here to catch up with some friends. The service here is very good and the food is always delicious and arrives very quickly. I got the yasai yaki soba which was amazing. I am a vegetarian and there is always plenty of choice here. Got the green tea (which is free:)) for after the food which went down really well. We also ordered edamame between 3 of us and we really enjoyed it. This is a restaurant I alway highly recommend and keep returning to.
Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
I went here to catch up with a few friends last wk. My friends just ordered a starter and I got the yellow curry with rice. They had no problem serving it all at the same time which was nice. They even gave us the meal deal even though none had starter and main course. The service was great and we all enjoyed our food. Would recommend highly!
