I have enjoyed many good meals at this restaurant but was very disappointed at my recent visit. Whilst my starter tasted very nice, the presentation was below standard, -tempura of prawns, served on a cream plate with no garnish and did not look appitising .Main meal was monkfish with garlic prawns. Meal arrived with no prawns and I had to point this out to waiter. Not good and small portion for €28 - bad value . I will not be in a rush to return.

12 of us ate here on 30th December 2014. As previous reviewer mentioned, room was cool until the room filled up no excuse for this on a cold winer's evening.Anyone who went for the set menu were very disappointed. THe sirloin steak was fatty and not good. Starter was fine, but no one in the the party enjoyed their meal -some who chose the A La Carte were reasonably happy. There is little point in having a good value menu if the food is not good. We had 4 different main courses eaten between us and none of them were good. We will not be returning which is a pity as I like the venue.

Ponds
20 Landscape Road, Dublin South, Dublin

The Ham Hock Croquette starter was stuffed with too much ham and no sauce. It just too dry and lacking flavour. My companions had chicken wings which were average. We all ordered steak on the stone. We all enjoy our steak medium rare but by the time our steaks hit our table on the stone - the steaks were medium and we had to remove the steaks off the stone immediately to a small plate, which takes the point away of cooking your own steak on the stone.. Side order of vegatables for €4 somewhat small. Service was good.
