Soho Bar and Restaurant
77 Grand Parade, Cork City, Cork

Had eaten before as part of a large group with Work ,finger food etc but on this occasion I returned with a friend to sample the food from the main menu . I wont make that mistake again . Atmosphere is great ,Venue is nice and Popular but stick to the fried finger food anything other than that seems to challenge the chef and on our meal he failed . Told waitress ,she apologised but seemed used to complaints and walked off . Didn't pay for main duck course as there was so much left and it was so rare we could have brought it back to life and let it free in the park . Go for the drinks and crack ,get a burger on the way home .

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had eaten here before and was not that impressed but on this occasion we organised my Child's party and they exceeded our expectations. Ive always enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks menu but was previously less than impressed with the food. This was an early evening meal, Staff were as always excellent, Food was on this occasion superb and the 8 Kids had a ball eating in a booth alone. Perhaps my previous experiences was as they are very busy later in the evenings and standards in the kitchen are then rushed . Any way on this occasion a job well done and we will definitely return again with adult company later some evening to give it a try and get the wonderful American Grill again .

Tibor's Bistro
11B Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

This Venue is much needed locally and the dining room and bar area are great. Food choice and taste was excellent, Service was brilliant with a smiling, happy informative waiter. The wine list is good if a bit overpriced in some cases. Cocktail deserts where a hit with my wife and her friend, The draught beer a hit with myself and her partner. The steaks where very nice and selection overall interesting and good. Home made chips where a hit as was the mash. Will definitely return .

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Had visited fire before for the late sitting and couldn't fully enjoy the food as we where a wee bit too liquidly refreshed. Tried it again recently for two and enjoyed what must be one of the nicest dining rooms in Dublin, not a bad address either. Staff were trendy, friendly and fun and overall service was prompt and efficient. I would recommend the cocktail desserts, different and a nice end to the night. The wine and cocktail menu also got a try and is great. The Hereford steak was excellent and with the sides (great chips) 6 Oz was enough despite my initial skeptical jibes. Will defo be back.

The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Returned to church with a group of six . Service great and food excellent if a wee bit overpriced .We had been here before and this was a birthday celebration, The night was good as bar restaurant club are all in one location. Only problem would be lack of Veggie or non meat fish dish's, Overall good again and I will return but not too soon.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

We have eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed it for a quick meal . The tables are a wee bit too close but it is always busy and food is always good . Recently we booked at short notice for four adults and four children at had no difficulty on a sunday evening . Our american visitors thought it was neat and all the kids thoroughly enjoyed it as they always do the notice board for pics is good . I would recommend the chicken or prawn stirfry with extra chilli . Great stuff . If I had one gripe it would be with the decor , Needs a bit of updating . Location is great if you are in the window and our friends where amazed with the Palm tree's growing outside Florida ??? Sunny Clontarf eh

The Goblet
Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin

I live nearby and visit the Goblet restaurant frequently and whilst most of the reviews are good and I mostly agree the menu needs to be updated as two years or more is a long time for the same food to be trotted out. Portions are huge and good but evening staff need to learn to smile a bit . The carvery is always a great bet and I have friends from Ireland and abroad who rave about the soup and sandwich available at lunch down stairs . You will not beat it for a lunchtime soup and generally need to bring half the sambo away as it cannot be finished . Well worth a look
