Availed of the 8 course taster menu. Not my usual choice as I perfer to choose from the menu depending on my mood however this menu ticked all the boxes although there were no choices. Each course was different and full of flavour without imposing on the next course. The courses were nicely spaced out so we could enjoy the lovely wine also. The staff were really nice and friendly without any pompousness that can come with 5 stars! This is the second time my husband and I have eaten here and we weren't disappointed on either occasion. We'll definitely be back

We booked for a special family occasion and unfortunately we were left disappointed. The table we had was fine and the first impression was good however the service and the food did not match up to our expectations. The presentation of the food was excellent but the main course portions were small and side portions had to be ordered. The service was a bit rushed and we had to ask a couple of times for different items. The menu reads well but doesn't show up on the plate. We won't be returning

Lake Room at Aghadoe Heights Hotel
Lakes of Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

The staff are excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. We availed of the set menu. There is a good selection to choose from. The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables that accompanied the main courses were very tasty. We had our baby with us in a buggy and the staff ensured we had a table with extra room. Definitely worth a visit

The Lime Tree Restaurant (Kerry)
Shelbourne Street, Kenmare, Kerry

The Lime Tree was recommended by a couple of people so we decided it must be worth a visit. Lovely setting and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The tables are a bit too close together so it is difficult to have conversation without hearing the next tables conversation also. Wine was expensive compared to other places we looked at. Food is very good, I loved the seafood chowder as it was piping hot not lukewarm as can be the case in some restaurants. We will be back in the future

Mulcahy's Restaurant
36 Henry Street, Kenmare, Kenmare, Kerry

Best meal I've had in a long time. The staff were really friendly and created a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was very well presented and tasted great. The chocolate fondant for dessert was to die for!!! Would definitely recommend Mulcahy's and I hope we'll be back soon

The Club Brasserie
Lapps Quay, Cork City, Cork

We hadn't been here for dinner for about 2 years and it was every bit as good as the last time. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. Good atmosphere, nice and relaxed so you can sit and enjoy your meal. There is a good choice on the menu, just enough to choose from and it all sounds very appealling. My husband and I had steak and we both asked for rare. It was slightly overdone and a bit dry but that is the only negative point of the night. We will definitely be back as it is worth every cent!

Coast Restaurant @ The Grand Hotel
The Grand Hotel Malahide, Coast Road, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Had lunch here on Friday. Lovely setting with beautiful views over the estuary. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the salmon which was very tasty. Good size portions if a little on the large side. All in all a pleasant experience and I would certainly go again

Al Boschetto
2 Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Ballsbridge, Dublin

wanted a quick bite before going to a concert and this served the purpose. The starter or brushetta was disappointing....not a fresh tomato in sight! the main of pasta with broccoli was nice - good helping of fresh broccoli. A little overpriced and considering we were one of the one couples in the restaurant it would have been difficult to mess up the service. Staff were friendly and polite. Suited to a quick bite but I wouldn't be spending a romantic Saturday night over dinner here.

Finders Inn Restaurant
16 Nohoval Belgooly, Riverstick, Cork

Came here a couple of years ago and didn't have a good experience. Decided to give it another go and I have to say it was worth the visit. Really nice menu and the food was very good. The bar is nice and cosy for drinks before and after dinner. I had sole on the bone and it was melt in the mouth. Good selction of wine to choose from. Not the cheapest of places but the food is good. Nice to go for a treat

Adare Manor Golf Club
Limerick Road, Adare, Limerick

Had lunch here while watching the rugby match. opted for 2 starters instead of a main course. The seafood chowder is delicious, lots of nice chunks of fish. My husband had the mussels which were excellent. Very tasty and suited exactly what we wanted. Lovely homemade biscuits with tea and coffee after. Very comfortable and was great to watch the match without the crowd.

Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin

The best chinese around! The salt and chilli squid is yum as were the thai style king prawns. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Reasonably priced wine and a good selection too. I've eaten here on anumber of occasions and I've never been disappointed. Definitely worth a visit

Liberty Grill
32 Washington Street, Cork City, Cork

last night was our first visit to Liberty grill. It's cosy without being overcrowded. The staff are really friendly and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The courses are nicely spaced out so I still had room for desert! good portion sizes and tasty too. The only down sides were the wine was brought to the table opened and they do not have a liqeur licence so Irish coffees are out of the question. this was disappointing as it would have been a nice way to finish the meal.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

I had heard good reviews so decided to give the place a go. we arrived on a Sunday evening and the place was packed! We were attended to swiftly and given a table by the window perfect for two. The waitress explained it wasn't usually used for dinner but we had no issue with. The buffalo wings are the best I have tasted in a long time and there was a good portion. I also had chicken for my main and it was very tasty. We were both very pleased with our meal. The waitress who looked after us was very friendly and regularly checked with us. It was nice not to be forgotten about because we were in the corner!! I will definitely be back

Milano (Cork)
8 Oliver Plunkett st, Cork City, Cork

My husband and I called in for a quick, tasty lunch and that was exactly what we had. We sat out the front of the restaurant which was fine unless the main door was open causing quite a draft. I had the Chicken Caesar salad, my usual and it was just as good as last time. my husband had pizza that was really tasty and not too filling. The large glass of wine is pricey considering the glass isn't huge itself.
