Dropped in on my own while on my way to busaras on friday evening looking for a pint and a bite to eat. The place seemed very busy but I was served immediately upon approaching the bar. My food order was taken equally promptly, which surprised me considering how busy the place was. Both the gent behind the bar and the lady who took my order were really polite and attentive. My meal (chicken curry half and half- classy lad me) arrived swiftly and was a real pleasant surprise (the guinness was spot on also). Nice atmosphere and a unique spin on the traditional irish pub decor too. All in all, great food, drink and really friendly, professional, attentive staff. Top marks guys.

A real winner- the menu is a well chosen selection of lite bites (pulled pork sliders ftw)- all very delicious, but maybe not a great choice if you have a large appetite. The beer and wine selection is terrific, and the staff are excellent. It's fallen somewhat victim to its own success, however, as it's usually quite crowded and can be uncomfortable. Still, can't fault what they're doing, and it's a very welcome addition to Ranelagh.

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

An underappreciated gem in the middle of the city. Great, authentic Moroccan cuisine, in a warm, intimate environment (if you're going with a group, try and get the tent room). Also, be sure and try the Moroccan coffee- really excellent way to round off the meal.

Boojum
Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

The best burrito in town. Great choice of toppings and salsas, and the various bottles of hot sauce about the place are a nice touch. The meat is of a great quality and the service is very fast and friendly. Its popularity means you'll probably be queuing for a while, but it's well worth it. Oh, and make sure you're hungry when you go...

Manifesto
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

If you're looking for a classy pizza parlour in the D6 area, look no further. The selection, ingredients and presentation are all excellent, as is the atmosphere. If you're after pasta or other Italian staples, it doesn't quite deliver though. It can also feel quite cramped on busy nights.

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

A good choice if you're looking for something a little different from your usual burger and chips. The meat quality is good enough, but is somewhat overwhelmed with the burger garnishes. They can also be very difficult to eat given their size. I would also say it's generally overpriced, and the bench seating can be a pain when the place crowded. All that said, you could do a lot worse food-wise, and if you're a fan of funky dining experiences, you should give Jo' a go.

Always a great choice. Fine food, great wine selection and exemplary service. Simply can't go wrong with Marios.

La Reserve Artisan Brasserie
53 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Visted for brunch with some relatives, and have to say we were very disappointed with the service. Despite being one of only two parties there, we were kept waiting about 15mins before our order was taken, and even longer before our drinks arrived. Our food order was incorrect and our waiter was very inattentive. The food was very good- but the overall experience wasn't.

Punjabi By Nature Indian Restaurants & Takeaway
15 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

For my money, the best Indian in the Ranelagh area. Been there to eat a couple of times, but get takeaways regularly. Food is always excellent, as is the service.

Really great meal with 5 other guests. Restaurant was busy, but service didn't suffer at all. Ordered off the early bird menu, but everyone was delighted with their meal. Thank You!
