Market Lane restaurant
5/6 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City, Cork
Reviewed 26th May 2010 ( visited 21st May 2010 )Having working all day long, I would like to relax in a calm quiet environment & chat with my friends. Unfortunately, I think Market Lane would be anything but quiet. Waitress are quite busy bustling around & the environment is quite loud with customers chatting around. But thumbs up to the food, the portion are big & filling. The dessert are addictive, especially the strawberry meringue. And the service are brilliant with efficient staff. In general, I would recommend this place for the food, but I do not think it is a relaxing environment.
4/5 South Main St, Co City, Cork City, Cork
One of my favourites. I really like Asian food, & Wagamama never fails to delivers great experience every time I went there. The atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends, although it can be a bit loud at peak times. The food is great, & the portion is large. I'm not the kind of person who like to try new things, so I always order the same food. And the staff is really efficient. All in all, I would love to return back to Wagamama whenever I got a chance.
Eastern Tandoori (Cork)
1/2 Emmet Place, Cork City, Cork
My friend recommend it. When we arrived, we have to wait for the rest of the group to show up, which around 10mins later. The staff never did smile to us & I actually saw one the staff rolled his eyes when he saw us still in waiting lounge after 5mins. We settled down in a table of 6, and we have to wait around 30mins for them to take our orders. The food is okay, nothing specials. I actually thought that the curry they served lacked something, that we could not figured it out. But the atmosphere is quiet & great for couples. In few words, I don't think I would recommend it to others, unless they really an Indian restaurant fan. Wouldn't even dream to go back there again.
15 Maylor Street, Cork City, Cork
This is my favourite restaurant. Never miss a chance whenever I'm in Cork. The decor is lovely. The staff is very friendly & nice. I love the tom yum soup starter they have here, and my favourite main dish would spicy prawn pad thai noodles. I never disappointed whenever I come, they really work hard to keep the good standard. I would recommend them to my friends, & certainly come back here again.
Fishy Fishy Restaurant
Crowleys Quay, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork
Always wanted to go there after being constantly talked about among my friends. One day got an opportunity, & felt really worth it. Located opposite the Kinsale River, couldn't get a better view when you got a seating upstairs. Although my friends & I have to queue a bit to get seated (we did not make a reservation beforehand), but the wait is totally worth it. The staff are really friendly, & its hard to make a choice with all the tempting menus available. Finally, I settled down with seafood chowder & pasta. The food take a while to be served, but we didn't really mind cause we were enjoying the view. We were expecting a small portion seeing the restaurant is quite exclusive, but couldn't be more wrong when the food had arrived. The portion is enormous and very filling. We were full by the time main course is finished. The price is expensive, but I say its worth every cent. In conclusion, FIshy Fishy restaurant deserved every awards that they got. I will definitely go there again, wanting for more.
Zaks Restaurant (Cork)
No 4 Marlboro Street, Cork City, Cork
Went there for the first time with my friend for lunch. Before we went there, we browsed through their website. We were slightly surprised to see its a bit small from what illustrated in the website. But the decoration is really nice, I really like the historical pictures of Cork that they put up on the wall. The starters has not got much to offer, so we skipped them and go straight to main course. I had fish & chips while my friend ordered pizza. The portion is enormous! We were full when we finished. My friend even had leftovers pizza and brought them home. The price is reasonable as well. Maybe if the staff could smile more, that would be perfect. But probably its a busy afternoon for them. The food is served fast, nonetheless. I would definitely come back here again, really love the pictures.

Befani's Mediterranean & Tapas Restaurant
6 Sarsfield Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
I went there with my friend. The atmosphere is fantastic, its really calm & quiet. A perfect choice for us who are tired after a long work day to relax and dine in. The price is reasonable (we are both taking early bird menu), & the food is okay. The starter & dessert are nothing special, in fact we felt its a bit overpriced. But the main course is memorable, the hake fillet is fresh & baked perfectly to our taste. The service is also excellent, we don't have to wait long for our food to be served. In general, I think they deserved the awards they got & would definitely go there again.

Its more like a Indian fast food restaurant to me. Great if you want to hang out with friends for a while. The price is cheap for Indian restaurants, the food is OK. A great choice for fast food.
Galileo Cafe Clonmel

I went here last week with my friend. I really liked the atmosphere inside the restaurant. The decor looks like Italian restaurant so much, it reminds me of my holidays in Italy. The staff are very efficient & friendly. The price are also affordable, with quite generous serving. I definitely will come to this restaurant again, no doubt.
