Kebabs can be a dodgy business at the best of times. However, Iskanders has never disappointed me yet. This is not your regular kebab shop where you might fall into at the end of a night. It is much much better than that. Admittedly, while the decor is clean and functional, it is nothing special. The shawarmas (kebabs), on the other hand, are among the best I have ever had. I hear the falafels and chicken wings are pretty good too. The restaurant had a fire in early 2008 and many of my friends were in mourning for months. But Iskanders is back and as good as ever! It is well worth trying out for those of you looking for something quick, healthy and more than just your average kebab!

Very disappointing. A friend and I went there for lunch which lasted about two hours because the service was so slow. We waited and waited for someone to come to our table and, although there were only two other people in the restaurant, service rarely came. I ordered a lamb hotpot that, if had I bought in a supermarket for €3, I would still have felt short-changed. My friend's Thai chicken was, at best, okay. In fairness, the desserts were nice but the overall experience was disappointing.
